It is a budget bombshell in -- House Budget Committee chair Paul Ryan introduces his fiscal blueprint for 2014 tomorrow he sure to be met with fierce resistance from the left.
-- the bold new proposal is set to balance the budget in ten years -- slow the rate of spending by one point 5%.
It will repeal -- -- replacing it with a better system that stops the expansion of Medicaid.
And when asked about his proposals on FOX News Sunday yesterday the congressman said that's.
The point is we think we -- the American people balanced budget.
We want to respect hardworking taxpayers.
And we think we have a responsible plan to balance the budget.
Which the reason we do a balanced budget is not make the numbers simply add up.
It leads to a healthy growing economy that creates jobs the president has us on a path.
Toward a debt crisis that hurts everybody that bring just to a recession.
That gives is that European kind of an experience which we want to avoid we want people going back to work we want higher wages more jobs growing economy.
We get that by balancing the budget by repealing obamacare and the Medicaid expansions which haven't occurred yet.
We -- basically preventing an explosion of a program that has already failing source saying don't grow this program through obamacare because it doesn't work.
Joining me now with how the GOP can win this fight and successfully passed the Ryan budget chairman of the Republican National Committee right previous serious are they doing -- -- -- nice to see again all right so not a taxes will be in this budget.
Balance the budget in ten years right.
Not decrease spending slow the rate of growth.
And repeal obamacare attract should pass in the house well that's right I mean look at we we hold used car salesman to higher standards I think and we hold this president and this is sort of fire.
Our lemon law.
And Obama care or Obama promised that -- people -- keep their doctors they can't that's false he promised that the costs of health care would go down.
It's false we -- a lemon law.
And so this president hasn't delivered on its promises and the irony here's John.
Is that this is the same White House that repeatedly goes after corporations evil big corporations who who's gonna end up making.
All the money in the end if obamacare continues to be in place it's going to be the big corporations right and who gets screwed.
The middle class because they got moved off of their insurance to get put in the union are the big government.
Health care and who makes all the money.
Big corporations.
The president.
Well are you ready for the demagogue because this is going to be Republicans want -- -- to die they're going to kill your grandmother.
Well granny over the cliff Paul Ryan will be pushing.
Well I think -- and I think is about time the senate does its job -- remember it was I don't know how many years ago was and we used to.
Talked about Americans were outraged that.
Toilet seats we're costing 6600 dollars a very does it well now we had a 180000 dollars senators.
Sitting in Washington that haven't done their job and haven't passed the budget -- the first guys jumping up and down.
Talking about the fact to honor actually repeal something that most Americans don't want in the fact going to work.
I think it's time that -- -- apologize and refund the money pocket but there's another side to this because the Democrats through I -- -- Murray will come out their plan and it's going to be another push for raising taxes on the American people.
Is that an option.
And what I'm afraid of -- they'll say we're gonna have tax reform.
Well then eliminate tax loopholes isn't that quote a tax increase.
There now but we're not gonna increase taxes and and I think that if the senate actually passes a budget number -- -- -- -- him the miracle.
But we'll see if they do it the president said he was gonna deliver but cut a budget -- member on February 4.
And now it's what march eleventh.
And he hasn't delivered a budget.
Now he wants another month extension extension to deliver a budget to the senate.
He hasn't done it hasn't done in four years Heidi I don't think you're ever gonna do -- do you deal with the predictable demagoguing.
That will begin -- ensue tomorrow right after the budgets revealed -- I think our our site has to be prepared.
They have to know the information are they -- my -- -- -- -- authority I think this is our moment.
To lay out our vision for America.
In a budget that balances in ten years that doesn't raise taxes that includes comprehensive tax reform that includes a spending freeze in Washington.
These are the things that people want.
And I think it's about time that we as Republicans all get on the same page all leverage everyone we have in the house and senate.
And get on board and -- -- repeat and repeat I like the idea message discipline member Reagan used to -- -- these speech and that he would talk about limited government government is the problem.
Lowering tax rates to stimulate growth.
Obama gives his speech and it's the same speech and the 1% they're protecting the 1% I -- a balanced approach -- fair they're miserable they hate you.
So it seems that he's been able to outmaneuver Republicans in the -- And during a lot of these debates not in the most recent one -- but you are prepared for that we have to get on the same page you know we don't have the bully pulpit but.
But you know what we need to do is get every member of the house and the senate saying the same thing all the time and the other thing like you talked about a -- Marco earlier.
-- and we need to do is quit bashing each other.
And -- Reagan also had another thing that he used to say is that my 80% friend -- -- make my 20% enemy.
And and that's something that we need to get back to us a party and we need to focus in on the things that we can agree on and repeat them over and over again with I think the message is pretty simple with a party that's gonna stop.
Generational theft and stop breaking open our kids pay your kids -- banks.
And because -- wanted to live within our means that's pretty that's a pretty solid -- that's a solid message and we've got those messages all over the ball over in the states with all of our governors.
And our messages sent by his Republican -- all along with the Obama care Medicare -- provision well I mean each of these governors are making decisions in their own states and I can't speak to everybody.
But the fact is the winning messages that are working out there in America are a balanced budget a spending freeze things like education reform school choice charter schools.
These are the issues that every parent and everybody wants to be able to take advantage when Rand Paul is doing this filibustering you sent out a tweet.
So one.
Other Republican senators to get out there and helpful for people like rubio and crews and Mike Lee and even Mitch McConnell there to help -- What do you think of this new generation.
And younger these younger guns in the senate know what I think they're the future of our party.
And that's why I encourage people to support senator Paul because what he was doing -- thing was reasonable that was intelligent it was -- asking.
To move mountains asking for a simple answer to a simple question he didn't get it and I think as Republicans we ought to support -- -- that.
And that's why I called for all Republicans to support -- mine and I'm gonna do the same thing.
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --
