So I -- -- a Dini is serving eight years in a brutal and -- in prison for preaching his Christian faith and for refusing.

Two turn away from it essentially -- I'm joined now once again that by not -- Dini who is the pastor's wife she's going to be at that congressional hearing and Jordan secular -- who has been.

Fighting for her husband's return since the beginning of this process he's the executive director.

At the American center for -- just as good morning to both of you and welcome back to America's Newsroom -- -- -- may what does this mean to you to be able to sit there at the table in front of these members of congress and explain to them.

Four Iran violation of a very payments for human.

Religious freedom.

I mean anything about the contrast to what your husband is going through and why.

Because of freedom of religion and freedom of speech that we have in this country -- -- have the right just to see it at that table and to talk about it in an open forum.

In congress and -- that that that.

The contrast it is not -- what what do you want to make sure you get across in the time that you have -- on Friday.

That's our country was founded on religious freedom and -- I expect our country to be a leader and take every step possible to.

Defense saying who is an American citizen his religious freedom and to.

Come be a voice and then it and a leader and defending.

Religious freedom especially for the Christian.

Do you think isn't just -- aware -- -- -- is -- you say that you expect our country to stand up for what it believes and and that that tells me they're very disappointed and you feel that -- that we're not right now.

No we're not it's it's something we've we were founded on we.

It's something that our country is it's based on -- freedom of religion and and is standing up for that and unfortunately am disappointed that.

We're not taking a strong fans and being a leader and defending that religious freedom.

You know Jordan he wraps until last time we talked that has continued to it to come to mind when I think of this story and that is the impassioned plea -- hikers.

Word may imprisoned in Iran and how much press coverage there was and how much discussion about those hikers and we're all very glad.

That they got home but why are we not seeing the same attention.

A given to -- safety think.

You know -- I'm about -- outrage today at the State Department as I've been throughout this entire process which is saying a lot.

-- the United Nations there was a focus at the UN Human Rights Council.

Only on the human rights situation in Iran.

And all 47 member states as well as other countries can -- give remarks to the special rapid tour.

We gave remarks last week we may as we speak right now -- our European director may be giving remarks again.

The European Union called for site after the news release you don't the United States did absolutely nothing why.

I am glad you brought applause -- -- wife or are we not seeing.

You know the new secretary of state John Kerry the president you know standing up and saying.

Is this past journey you know as a Christian he believes in his -- he was -- starting an orphanage he deserves to be back home with his family.

-- -- -- so difficult to articulate on behalf and for these people.

Well an illicit Australia even showed up for pastor site and so they spoke out.

So -- got the European Union and Australia the government's now done more.

In the United States government I say that because the congressman have done a great job -- members of the US house and senate that's why were having this hearing on Friday.

To get to this answer why site in -- -- and blogger who was beaten to death.

It'd be in prison but forget the American citizen who is so I think prison today.

Yeah -- in -- and -- just one more point before we -- that the numbers on this -- top but I know that that your group Jordan.

Basically believes that between 10200000.

Christians.

Are killed are martyred every year.

It in prisons and -- persecution in in Muslim countries eight I think you know we we look at the fact that -- you know about to see a new Pope.

In the world -- you know do you think that this is an issue that we can shed a little bit while I cannot.

You know it it sometimes takes these stories unfortunately.

That I think you know site -- -- the situation not asking for it but.

This is part of what we do you know we're there to help the persecuted when making -- to us -- -- -- -- so we know if pastors that were named.

By the European Union that have had a tougher time.

Getting their stories out because it's tougher for them to get information.

They fully site it has not -- Here in the United States who can speak out on his behalf.

And understands him and knows him enough to come on TV and and tell people his store mini the persecuted people they don't have that option.

I've -- has been incredible through all of this and standing by a husband and your children and we wish you well on Friday.

And we'll be covered -- thank you very much Steve both.
