Want to bring in Robert morning and he is would be inside the Vatican.

He is one of the experts has been looking at the video with me and he was -- pointing out several other cardinals as they took that sacred oath to.

It's -- secrecy about the -- what what are some of thoughts you have about what the cardinals will be looking for.

Well thanks very much Lauren.

I think this -- to -- the election of the next Pope is very wide open.

There.

They're looking for a man who can be all things to all men so they want an intellectual like this last hole.

But they also want someone who can really communicate with simple people.

They're hoping for a man who can be a communicate -- a great communicators.

Deep profound spiritual values.

They won a man who can sort of represented.

The entire world the kind of global figure and this is why a lot of people are thinking they may move beyond Europe and beyond Italy and even beyond Europe.

I would not be surprised.

Now if you were a betting person you'd have to say the likelihood is they may try to go back to an Italian.

They feel that the Vatican -- here in Italy we're here in Rome.

People speak Italian here people employed in the Vatican mostly speak Italian.

And that the Italian people are very close -- the church they want someone who knows their language to communicate with them.

But if they don't elect an Italian the whole thing is wide open it could it could be.

We we watched the cardinal from Nigeria.

Who was quite outspoken.

According to the rumors we've heard during the congregations they were holding.

And is a very remarkable man very well educated articulate speaks perfect English.

And that someone no one has mentioned at all.

So what are the things that Jeff was talking estimates that was talking about and that we've heard in the Italian press is yet these two camps that are in development period -- reformers.

Those outside the Roman curia who.

Whose main focus is to clean up.

The scandals within that did Vatican government that that he -- the bank this -- the sexual abuse all of that needs to be cleaned up because they see the curious as part of the problem that is the other camp.

Where they curious -- you know we need to address these issues but.

Keep the status quo were OK we just need to sort of -- just a few things what you think that.

Will influence how that will influence the actual content -- results.

Well you've given the exact description of the alternative.

You either have insiders who say please let us continue to clean this up because someone else who doesn't understand the situation will make a further -- -- it.

But the others is saying look you've been under a very holy and good hope in you not listen to him -- -- Created obstacles for him we need to go outside your group.

Now.

I think that this is that we could get a -- -- didn't do this evening.

But it's not likely -- everyone has to be prepared for that eventuality.

I think that it's very interesting because even though we're.

We've been told by the Vatican that likely it'll be black smoke today which means about as inconclusive there's so many people waiting in the rain to see if there's Bob Black smoke or white smoke.

Emanating from this -- if that's put on top of the assisting chapel.

Jonathan I think it's very exciting to be here -- in the rain even in the cold we're still here we're still going to wait -- will.

Hopefully see something in in the next couple of hours back all right.

It say it is indeed an exciting time and we're grateful to have you Dallara and green our religion correspondent alongside.

-- Robert -- founder of inside the Vatican magazine great to see you both thank you very much indeed.
