The left wing filmmaker Michael Moore is getting a lot of attention today with -- controversial call to destroy the NRA.

His idea.

Publish the brutal disturbing crime scene images.

Of the sandy hook elementary school shooting.

In a new piece titled America you must not look away.

Moore predicts this would -- -- public opinion against Second Amendment defenders.

And that -- pictures of six and seven year old shooting victims.

Are made public the American people would cease to support the NRA.

And its gun rights movement.

Lars Lars Larson is syndicated radio -- and joins me now -- It started some background -- what I did here at C -- -- but here you know your reaction to Gore's proposal.

Well obviously not a lot of Michael -- bankers -- -- today in Maryland but I can tell you something.

Justin is disgusted and get beyond the question of what -- -- Violate the privacy of the family.

Victims.

I I think there's another question more apparently wants to complete flop.

In the making things in public policy that the congress does not -- to do at this point.

And that is -- -- around the country state legislatures have shown they're not willing to do it either.

But that was all right -- our -- and that's his point is that -- they're not willing to do it now and something needs to inspire them to find the courage.

And he acknowledges that this would be horrific for people to view but his point is.

It's real.

It happened.

-- four children had in some cases eleven bullets in them.

And their bodies were completely destroyed and -- awful is it would be for -- to acknowledge what happened to them to actually have to soak that in.

He says we need to do that before weaken.

Legitimately come to a decision on gun control.

Megan I don't think that Michael Moore speaks for anybody in this country because I don't think there's a parent out there who can't imagine what one bullet would have done to bear a child let alone -- and I don't think they need to be shocked with these kinds of holders to force them to change their minds about guns.

The fact is this country supports the individual right of law abiding citizens to own guns and we also understand what happens -- lunatics.

Like Adam -- and others take stolen guns and go out and commit awful crimes of them.

But telling those people that we should give up Second Amendment Rights to stop lunatics from doing it he wasn't Second Amendment Rights to put that gun in the man's hand he murdered his mother he stole the gun.

He murdered the children he violated at least half a dozen laws by the time you got to the school -- The war and then violated more of -- inside obviously by murdering those children.

That this is not going to be solved by passing more laws the country has plenty of laws that could be enforced -- -- -- probably -- That's in the quarter but he talks about the the ar fifteen that's one that's one of the rifles and he talks about the ammunition saying.

That the kind of ammunition.

Used in Newtown.

Would have produced very extensive severe -- injuries -- the -- in the face any small -- and a -- all due respect to go to the victims I'm I'm repeating his argument and he goes on to say understood such talk about the mother of one little boy no lot.

Who insisted that the governor of Connecticut look at know -- in his open casket so he could see.

It is devastating injuries saying I needed to be real to him the governor and the governor wept as he saw.

What kind of damage and violence in hell was unleashed on that little boy as far as I know you have such strong arguments.

In favor of gun rights.

And right it is it.

Could you could you maintain a case could the case still be legitimately may need and people be open minded to both sides.

If they were to see pictures of little Noah and the others.

-- I don't.

Thanks so I think that the case -- the peace prize fight.

I didn't mean to mistreat their.

The case can be maintained for Second Amendment Rights of law abiding Americans -- people who are not lunatics like Adam lands and I read -- argument about.

Velocity and the impact of foot pounds of force.

Frankly every rifle in America the rifles that I -- to hunt deer and -- Are more powerful and foot pounds of force that they hit an animal -- And it rifle -- out of -- used the AR fifteen shoots a very small 55 grain bullet.

That goes to the various high velocity and then they should suggest that somehow the handguns which he doesn't acknowledge do the majority of the illegal murders in this country are formal powerful.

How far more devastating effect on people but that's not the point if you want to outlaw and he rifled the -- that kind of forced to a human body.

Then you're going to have to outlaw all guns all handguns and all rifles.

And more should know if he wants to play with numbers you should understand that.

Less than 300 people.

Were murdered last year in America with rifles but more than 9000 people were murdered by criminals using handguns and yet the focus of this debate by more and others -- -- rifles.

He talks about -- itself the little boy who was brutally murdered back in the fifties.

And how his mother and -- -- an open casket and that changed everything that was the beginning of everything.

Before Rosa Parks give up Percy Montgomery Alabama and so on in any event Lars thank you so much for good discussion.

Thank you very much.
