Welcome back to on the hunt I'm Jonathan Hunt you have heard this story that -- maybe some of the crime scene pictures.
From the appalling massacre at sandy hook elementary school in new ten Connecticut released.
-- would be the impact the psychological impact all of such a release.
On the families who suffered such terrible losses and indeed -- whole community.
That lets cost friendship and Psycho therapist LC.
SW I don't know what that means all I have a Walesa's what does that mean friend.
That actually means it licensed clinical social worker admitted that match already a psychotherapist in his country.
Had the same license that I do.
Not very good guys thank you for explaining that to me not -- already out -- up -- did this it I mean it doesn't seem to.
In any way that there is an advantage to releasing these pictures to me I know nothing about psychology but it seems to me that it can only do -- Well yes I would have to agree with he like he said.
For everybody -- and I think the country has become so involved.
Not just the people in new town like everybody everywhere has become so involved and releasing pictures like that would just increase the trauma.
-- -- there's no there's nothing good that could come after releasing pictures like that at all.
It's.
We've heard that it's -- that children were mutilated ends and although we do is just exacerbate instead and everybody's so so there's.
-- -- If the if the picture is even if you put out pictures which one specifically.
Horrific in the sense of showing us some of those -- all -- injuries that the kid suffered.
Even if you just showed the widest possible shots.
A -- Walt would be what specifically.
Would be the impact.
On the families who lost a child what kind of things.
Are likely to happen in their mind if they work -- to look at those all just knew that they were out there in the in the public domain.
Right you know -- it -- I'm sure most of them you know are are still in shock.
-- they're creating -- just.
It would just get worse than it is likely -- incident all over again and feel it leaving it every single day I mean there's nothing more traumatic.
They're losing a child and -- losing children in your community makes everybody -- -- and and and -- -- -- and wondering what.
Sort of what's going on in the world and against the fact that everybody not formally but this family is it.
They would again have to explain that you have to relive every painful yet simple moments.
And and again -- -- there's nothing that would just increase the trauma most of these people are so pretty.
From posttraumatic stress and I'm serious depression and then.
Again there's nothing nothing.
It's compatible.
At all it was weighing in this -- Joyce he friends and says it was my child this is the last thing I would -- released it it would be in your face every day you'd be reminded it.
All -- -- what about the Brothers and sisters these kids as you've been talking about and then damage in Texas says.
There's no reason to have those pictures released period give me a good reason why.
People -- just infatuated with -- -- and wanting to see blood at an accident scene.
Is there isn't something true about that enough.
Collective psyche that that the sort of wanting to but do you not to minimize -- at all but wanting to watch the train wreck kind of attitude.
Yes you know people go it is scary movies all the time because it -- it.
-- things cannot blame it ignites the adrenaline so.
So it it actually feels.
Good and I was sort of like people -- -- collateralized that's extremely scary that struck again if it.
-- -- -- sure I don't win and -- holidays and all the chemicals in my brain so.
So you know why -- people stop and look at -- on the highway because it's something we have to see we have to know.
-- and and handed it.
It's not healthy for many many people it is not a good it and people then leave -- see these things didn't go home and have nightmares until more frightened.
So.
In my professional opinion and my you know as a mother as a human being it's -- sympathetic to come out of it.
-- friendship and psychotherapist licensed psychotherapist and social look at thank you very much for being with -- -- My -- it's time to have a great weekend.
And we have an article about this very issue.
Up -- foxnews.com.
