Thanks for having me Aaron Sele -- New York a political operative said that voter fraud is a quote normal political tactic and we see it now and you know case after case after case ms.
Richardson's a veteran.
Poll worker -- for many years and in your state.
How can you stop voter -- Well we're trying to stop voter fraud by making sure.
That we do our jobs in administering elections if you're gonna vote you need to provide proper form of identification.
And we need poll workers election officials to double check in the case in -- Louise Richardson.
They noticed more than one absentee ballot being requested from the same address they notice that the handwriting looked the same.
They did an investigation they found out that they were cast by the same person and fill out the same information.
That she'd cast an absentee ballot in her name and also voted the polls on Election Day.
That we have a system to catch these things and when we catch it.
We have to refer them to the prosecutor the sheriff's office the appropriate law officials law enforcement officials.
And make sure these cases are prosecute because we -- sending a very strong message.
That if you cheat in Ohio you'll get caught.
And you will get prosecuted.
-- which is in an interview said that as she didn't intend to commit voter fraud and we talked to her granddaughter who she apparently voted for in an absentee ballot in the -- -- that's it's not a big deal.
What's your reaction people say -- you know so what.
Well -- this a big deal it's illegal.
We have to follow the rules follow the law if you don't uphold the integrity of the elections it undermines our democracy.
And in this particular case it was clearly intentional voter fraud.
And those cases.
There must be consequences.

So what would you say to those -- -- -- just like it a handful of votes so wide it's you know 6789 votes whatever -- -- matter.
Well it -- matter we had a state -- race that was decided by six votes in the state there there are more elections than just the presidential election.
There are a lot of really important issues that you decided by only -- hand handful of votes every election cycle.
In cheating can't be allowed it not only could affect an election but it undermines confidence in the election system.
And then we have to hold people accountable.
And let them know that if you cheat and we're we're gonna catch you and if you get caught there will be consequences it's really not worth it.
Now we have to send that message and -- not worth what one thing here you are doing you haven't public hearings and all the counties there.
We are we're having public hearings and all the counties.
We have over a hundred cases right now that are under investigation.
In our state.
Most of those will not go to prosecution but they are under investigation.
And we do expect.
