Speaking of the Republicans.
Today.
They're talking about adjusting things a bit after.
Pressed to presidential elections obviously didn't turn out the way the GOP wanted -- to we got a penny to any graphic we can show you they want to improve the message of inclusion.
Outreach to women and minorities.
Grassroots organizations -- want to improve they -- -- get better with technology which obviously saw the Obama campaign was masterful.
-- sort of tweak the number of debates too many debates -- the convention out.
Primaries.
Fred what do you think give.
They're all great ideas that the that this is really common sense.
We should.
Shorten the primary process absolutely we should have people -- and their heads off.
In May and June we should move the convention back.
To June or July.
There's just too little time to reorganize after the convention for general election like this year.
We were on the heels of the general election right after Labor Day it's it's crazy.
So these -- great steps.
Reaching out and end.
Not really asking somebody to -- to get into -- affinity to the party.
Whether it's inclusion is a delegate or committee person we should be doing this -- Latinos women African Americans Jews who.
We have a deficiency.
That it would Latinos to -- and we have to saw that we have to broaden our base and and get people.
To not only -- -- vote Republican but.
You.
I'm sure you enjoy.
During the primary process 2012 the Republicans beat each other's brains out but next time around it could be the Democrats as well also.
What did you think of what the Republicans were saying today about their way forward they're necessary steps for them to assess what went wrong.
In 2012.
Now with regard to the step.
Increasing outreach putting ten million dollars.
Behind that outreach to Asian Latin black communities and others women.
-- I think for that money to be well spent.
That they need to start thinking as Jeb Bush -- reminded -- -- audience last week that we can't be the anti everything party.
So we can't be anti immigration we champions you woman -- whatever and expect.
That when we're reaching out to those communities.
For that money to be well spent money and so I think in addition to that discussion and we just in the black community that there -- two things weren't.
He's he -- to increase the diversity among your staff.
I'm not sure that there was an African American president.
In the five person.
Committee that was set up with our inflation and others to come up with these recommendations and secondly I think it's hard when -- spending all this money.
Going -- black communities.
Phone in the -- in the in the same instance talking on the other side of the amount of voter ID laws.
That in fact key.
A great percentage of minorities from getting to the polls whether they be Hispanic.
Elderly or others soon he you have to match that money with some substantive.
Creative ideas as well and reaching out -- the community so some of this may also be that change in tone if you will to be.
Not against.
Everything but.
To say what Republicans are for right well what -- for a lot of great things and voter ID I don't think is an issue didn't necessarily.
Is it is a dead issue to raise -- Latinos and African Americans and others because it's preserving their right to vote and fairness and equity it's for everybody.
What we need in America is an actual voting standard that every state will look at whether it's voting machines access recounts.
The fact that we have depth fifty jurisdictions.
Separate state jurisdictions that run recounted how they run the federal elections is a problem so we have to get serious.
About federal elections and if we are -- translate to better state elections.
Being fiscally responsible is a great thing Republicans.
That's our hallmark.
This fiscal responsibility openness transparency actual openness and transparency so we -- for some great things do we need to change with the times absolutely.
And that's every wasn't -- you whether you're selling.
Coca-Cola or whether you're selling candidates marketing and giving people an affinity to want.
Not only wanna support -- when -- sports report.
