Homeowners across the country are now facing new challenges thanks to FEMA flood regulations that can cost them hundreds of thousands of dollars.

After Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast back in 05.

FEMA -- drew many of the flood zone maps nationwide.

Taking areas previously considered safe from flooding and declaring them vulnerable.

Now folks trying to rebuild homes after fires are natural disasters are seeing their insurance and reconstruction costs go through the roof.
