Unconfirmed reports that earlier today a possible chemical weapons attack was carried out in northern Syria.
And at this hour both the Asad regime and the rebels are blaming one another for the deadly rocket blast that killed at least 31 people.
And that include 21 civilians -- according to a Reuters photographer was on the ground.
People were seen suffocating in the streets in the air apparently smelled of chlorine.
And while remains unclear who was behind this attack the White House is expressing skepticism.
Over the regime's claim that the rebels are to blame -- that's.
This time we have no evidence.
To substantiate that charge and we are skeptical deeply of -- regime.
That might make that charge given that the regime has lost all credibility in the eyes of the Syrian people and the world and having said that.
We are obviously assessing.
The reports and without getting into -- -- it intelligence.
Matters.
And methods.
I mean I can tell -- that were more making evaluations about the report.
It's now -- the Obama administration continues to make assessments about the developing situation overseas questions are being raised about whether or not the US should intervene in the two years civil war an email or call the just last year.
The president said the use of chemical weapons against the Syrian people would constitute a red line remember that's.
We have been very clear to the outside regime but also to.
Other players.
On the ground.
That.
A red line for us is.
We start saying.
A whole bunch chemical weapons moving around -- being utilized.
That would change my calculus that would change my question.
-- so is that red line crossed earlier today in Syria and how -- these dramatic development impact the president's trip to Israel joining me now to help answer those questions and much more.
-- host of war stories colonel Oliver North Fox News political analyst Juan Williams gentlemen welcome back to Hannity.
Good English on -- you know one let's look at let's go down country by country North Korea threatens to nuke us -- -- a new video out.
Showing them blowing up our capital what does Obama done nothing.
China cyber warfare they're conducting and stealing our secrets what is Obama done nothing.
Russia flying over American airspace would nuclear weapons what's happened.
Nothing Syria and nothing the only thing this president I -- doing is kissing the back side.
Of a Muslim Brotherhood leader by the name of Mohamed Morsi by giving him 250000.
Of our taxpayer dollars an F sixteen jets.
What's -- president don't want what's he gonna do about all these acts of aggression.
You know I I guess diplomacy doesn't appeal to you I guess sanctions don't appeal to you I guess try somewhere within the past -- -- -- -- you know you.
Now what appeals to -- -- is go to war but I think the Americans are losing are so what -- Obama I asked -- what he hasn't done a thing.
You can't imagine a weapon let's look at -- what is he gonna do want -- let me go to guy.
I'm not only able imposed sanctions we have sent the -- out there so that we have yeah.
Actually pin -- and -- -- not ice that we stand military.
Armaments to the area to make it clear don't mess around and what are you want to tell her about that Israeli air -- nuclear weapons an American city what we know on the we have been talking it's been very clear that we had been -- -- the Chinese.
-- it.
Talking you diminish in every way you look at -- right now we are in fact supporting having arms -- -- -- the rebels through not only Saudi Arabia you look at the support that we're offering to Turkey in terms of the people that are playing.
Look at what we're doing with Jordan to try to in fact but got the rebels that they can defeat -- these are real steps are.
-- at the colonel north you know what I see.
-- -- a weak president and he's -- who literally being run over because the Walt sees him as weak and he does not think.
I mean as well.
I can't imagine them flying -- -- arms over our airspace would nuclear weapons and nothing happening.
What we're seeing of course is the consequences of leading from behind I would still very quickly -- on with what we saw this morning.
I've seen the intelligence reports that seeing the unclassified version of it and we've seen the footage that came out of the left -- today.
-- does not appear to me he has a person who understands a little bit about chemical weapons.
About ten years ago today I was wearing a chemical suit you may remember and broadcasting on your show.
That on this footage you're watching right now.
There is no evidence of anybody.
Suffering from the symptoms of exposure to chemical agents whether it's propaganda on the part of the rebels -- propaganda on the part of the government.
It appears to me there's a person who understands what the consequences of exposure to chemical weapons would be.
There's nobody in this what that footage we just saw that suffering chemical and on what -- supporter of the chlorine smell all the hype and 31 that.
Pretty well -- certainly would not want to getting from our colleagues were reporters for Reuters or anyone else.
But the bottom line of it is when a large munition like a -- -- -- a scud goes off.
You smell ammonia gas -- you might well smell something that smells like chlorine that's the consequences of the explosion.
Again I don't see any evidence I think -- stuff I think there's -- report or.
Or chemical agents let's look at the bigger picture though.
They'll probably North Korea China Iran -- with the Russian delegate fight here because I don't wanna run time on this here's the bottom line.
If we wanted to stop the north Koreans from being able to build nuclear weapons and the means of delivering them.
And the Iranians from getting their hands on that same technology we could do it.
We have never imposed the kinds of unilateral sanctions that say if you do business with Iran or North Korea you cannot do business here in the United States.
This administration could and should.
Do that as -- last step a last resort before we resort to the use of our let's.
They show this video because the north Koreans are listed today not only are they threatening to nuke the United States.
Now they're putting out videos where they're showing all of this weaponry.
And there you go right at the US capitol they show the US capitol being blown up Juan.
What has Obama done what does he doesn't what does he said to the Russians about flying it.
Over our airspace with nuclear weapons nothing what does -- done in the case of the cyber attacks by China nothing.
-- yelling -- seems to be sucking up to and kissing his -- is as Mohamed Morsi.
This is that's not true and I hope you heard what Oliver -- that people are trying to suckers into a war they want -- in that war on non starter and I saw war that I.
Do you want our people on the ground his these got this guy North Korea these guys above -- he puts -- a tape.
And Sean Hannity want to start a war that I would.
It just doesn't makes -- John that I haven't said starlet wedeman that I -- -- -- compensation are you -- you did I mean a thing you know fans.
I want to -- that.
You dismissed diplomacy.
Under under George Bush or Ronald Reagan correct me colonel north if I'm wrong you work for President Reagan.
Didn't I can't see a president doing nothing time and time again.
And the only people he seems to -- and -- still are radicals like Mohamed Morsi.
In the United Nations I mean what we've done is we've gone to the United Nations wells so many times how good Barbara Streisand and what he is what he has done.
Is -- is allowed himself and help.
-- believe that the United Nations was somehow going to stop the north Koreans.
Under United Nations sanctions from building nuclear weapons and Intercontinental ballistic missiles they've done it and the Iranians will do it too.
Unless we impose the kinds of sanctions it's a very carefully.
If you have a business that is doing business with either of these two countries you cannot.
My business and wanna ask you this do you think the world by these acts of aggression and that's how I -- them.
You think they perceived Barack Obama.
As weak know what they're hoping for is American leadership from the front and they're not getting it today.
Nobody thinks America is we -- any body who does this needs to look at what we did in Afghanistan Iraq we have we put.
Man on the ground we put our money behind it and we've accomplished our mission quicktime for the American people to say enough of this war whether they perceive -- -- not.
I see him this week.
I think the president's week and it's a shame because you know what America needs to be strong but -- we don't fill that void and we don't step up and lead from the front.
Then I shudder to think who will lead and we need -- deep on the Muslim Brotherhood all right guys thank you both.
If you look.
