On our role night and and what is your kids bank.

Well after after -- -- that the email my wife Susan and I spoke with numerous other parents and we're actually quite disappointed.

Because we've been a part of -- night in the past -- my son who's now freshman.

And it's just a great community event.

Were all the parents come together along with students and celebrates and great accomplishments.

From from our children -- -- work so hard to achieve good grades.

Let me read you what the principal -- in this email that you received and other parents here it is the -- The -- night which can be a great sense of pride for the recipients families.

Can also be devastating to a child who has worked extremely hard and difficult class.

But who despite growth.

Has not been able to maintain a high grade point average that's from data for -- -- the principle that the middle school.

What do you say to that rationale.

All I can see some I can see his point of view I can see some validity without -- well.

And at what I'd also like to mention is that my son who I mentioned before is now -- freshman.

In sixth grade he was not invited to go to honors tonight because he received -- -- And that was actually a motivation for him.

To work harder.

Two -- -- study harder to make sure did his homework diligently.

And then go ahead and made honors tonight both in seventh and eighth grade so I think that.

Might be I'm not sure could be devastating to some people -- to some students.

But I think it would also be a good motivate her for those students who would also like to be part of that celebration.

Great point you never know how -- -- ego will respond to that it could make them work harder is -- do with your son.

So now because of the outcry from parents the principal has changed his tune some wants.

And here's his clarification that he sent out.

We changed our honors -- from an exclusive ceremony at night to an all inclusive ceremony during the day with the entire school.

Present is that the right solution to make it all inclusive.

Well I'm I'm thinking it all inclusive it at least it's something.

That our children can celebrate.

However there -- others there's other things that are special such as sports night.

-- seven music night.

And we you know there might be some other things out there -- such as someone.

Is good and drama.

Or in the theater -- and soul -- the issue that I have with that is that it's going to be.

We haven't gotten clarification if the parents are going to be involved in -- is -- parent.

That's something -- loved to be apart of and if we could be a part of that I know there's some space problems.

Was inviting all the parents an entire student body.

But I would love to have be a part of that -- -- my girls walk across stage.

Of course you wouldn't wouldn't all parents are what we will watch what happens if switch middle school thanks so much for coming and sharing -- Europe that was sort of an us.

My pleasure have a great -- him.
