New HBO film takes viewers inside the murder trial of music legend Phil Spector.

I have to say whatever you know nobody does.

You did not the -- around -- -- and -- -- the same around The -- like it did with an autograph -- you can control your behavior.

-- is important because if you don't.

You going to -- you.

For the rest of your life.

And he is in jail right now and the movie is creating a whole lot of controversy during -- right now is Phil Specter's wife.

Rachelle Spector she joins us from Los Angeles Rochelle thank you very much for joining us.

-- thank you for having me.

I understand HBO wanted to meet with -- in prison and you never heard back from him and initially what you were outraged at what HBO is -- with the story right.

-- absolutely I had the original script and had a second re right -- -- and I mean it was just completely different reading it on paper than actually seeing it on the big screen.

Which I did have an opportunity to do so last Thursday I went to -- screening here in Los Angeles and it's.

But what the movie did get -- and focused more so on that was the forensic science scientific evidence that surrounded the case that really -- it.

You know the court system didn't focus on and the fact that Lana Clarkson was loaded on -- today and and I have tequila was in a very depressed mental states and ultimately died -- by her own hands and not my husband's.

And they even backed that up with forensic scientific demonstrations.

On what somebody what have looked like.

If they were at arm's length of it intra oral gunshot -- OK not to mention my husband was wearing white that evening as wow.

So and one of the reasons.

You now support the HBO movie because it present your husband is being innocent and she took her own life.

And that is correct -- Yes and it's -- if it's 5000 pounds per square inch of pressure within an inch or oral gunshot wound that's the equivalent of running a semi truck into your mouth.

So I mean you would be covered in blood and tissue and spatter and particles -- -- it'd be all over you and Mike has been had none on him whatsoever.

So you completely believe your husband had nothing to do with her death but he was found guilty he's he's the sitting in jail right now nineteen years to life force -- -- That that is true -- bed jury did say they couldn't put the gun in his hand and -- One the gun wasn't registered to my husband they -- it in seven different places bloodied and non bloody.

His DNA was -- -- on the weapon his fingerprints were not on the weapon.

And anybody that's familiar with firearms knows that went a gun is fired there's a huge cloud of gunshot residue.

And he had none of that on him I her.

At -- but the -- the jury heard that they they didn't believe that.

They put your husband behind bars what would you like to see happen coming up with -- with.

Bill.

While -- an hour in the federal level of appeal which is called KB -- corpus.

And our main appealable issue is the fact that our own presiding judge judge stood there became a witness for the prosecution.

And testified on behalf of major blood spatter evidence.

And this is the first time in the -- jurisprudence of the justice system that he presiding judge has done dad's.

And -- ended this is huge because if the appeal is not overturned.

This sets the precedents for every case moving forward across the nation -- -- so any judge in any case would be able to do the same thing.

The well the HBO movie comes out shortly and you would like to see your husband come out of prison shortly there -- on appeal Rachelle Spector -- thank you very much for joining us live today from the city -- thank you very much for having me --
