And welcome to FOX News Sunday panel plus the Brit Hume -- powers Jennifer Rubin and Juan Williams and because it's never too early to start talking about 2016 politics.
The buzz in Washington this week was Hillary Clinton who.
For the first time really -- she stepped down as secretary of state came out -- a couple of speeches was announced that she's running a big book I'm sure for multi million dollar advance.
And immediately all but does speculation was is she running yes -- certainly got -- run 26 being my second -- Joseph Biden anyway.
-- well we're kind of back where we were.
When you we knew she was gonna run and we thought -- be invincible because she is this year is in the hole is old Clinton machinery and -- through.
Is sort of been through you know.
Clinton nation there -- supporter and lo and behold she didn't win.
He was beaten by the back -- -- that we nanos our president.
So you know I'm a little hesitant to project forward and say well look at her she's in the principal because the track record over invincibility is a little light.
And straight line projections in politics and with the news -- -- X having said that in the event is done I think she probably will if he's healthy enough.
-- you know not young and -- -- gone -- -- -- to be -- to be my -- exemption runs I don't feel like McEnroe isn't.
I think they're just gonna could travel on a camp at OK so.
So I think but but I think it's you know it's fun to talk about this it really it is but it is way to early to talk about anybody's invincibility.
And -- and as our Democrat watcher.
You know the problem of course a funny thing happened on the way to the White House for Hillary Clinton and that was Barack Obama.
But he was -- -- -- once in a generation candidate with a very special appeals very special skills.
Is there anybody out there -- you know the names that are mentioned I guess would be Joseph Biden and as -- is some of the governor's Andrew Cuomo Martin O'Malley.
Is there anybody out there.
That would present an -- bomb out like -- again ridiculously early to talk about it but an Obama like practical.
Well it you're right Obama is.
Just plant once in a generation person and -- -- people.
I wasn't one of them but there were a lot of people and a lot of my friends who did see the Obama thing coming actually so there were people who said no she is beatable and I'm behind Obama I don't see anybody really saying that about.
And Joseph Biden another big differences.
Of Barack Obama was pretty -- we know Joseph Biden.
And I don't really see him as being a serious threat to -- he doesn't really have a constituency to speak -- she has a constituency.
She benefited from not run.
Even if she lost you forget -- many people forget she got.
-- almost as many votes as Obama did she got almost as many electoral votes -- he got.
But she performed very well so she has this constituency.
-- now Obama's constituency.
That really loves -- You know there's a lot of talk -- that that if she were to run.
That Biden wouldn't even run it would clear the field that he wouldn't run against -- they have so many of the same supporters.
And I Andrew Cuomo very unlikely as the governor of New York that he's gonna take on this -- that enormous figure from New York.
I guess the question would name one or two people who you think -- would say okay fine Hillary you're gonna run I'm gonna run against.
Even Martin O'Malley would I don't know I know if -- -- -- I had I had a lot of -- -- don't know the governor amerigas and I and I you know I I would be shocked if Andrew Cuomo ran against Hillary in everything I've heard it yet.
It is that he would not do that that he's waiting he's sitting this out to see what she does and then if she -- -- -- where -- he's a he's a Clinton -- also he served in the Clinton administration.
That is he's in the same sort of world that have the same supporters of Hillary who what when I was I don't know if there are a lot of that would run against her I don't think unless they were just trying to raise -- profile and I don't think -- any serious contenders right now that are on the scene.
Let's talk about this from the Republican point of view Jennifer there are again -- and stand -- let me just say folks I know this is ridiculously early to talk about it but isn't it fun.
There are and have polls that have been done I think one of the acted appalling to put her up against all of the potential.
-- -- alternatives.
Chris Chris -- Jeb Bush should be small pretty handled.
Well right now those reflect a lot of name recognition which she has in -- So knowing as gun helped popularize her right now.
I think a couple things that Republicans look at when they look at -- Why is time that she now does have a record and as -- policy crises.
A merge on based on her tenure she's gonna have to be judged on those.
Iran as a -- we were talking about during the show on -- we -- -- during that crisis.
She was the one who -- -- to see al-Qaeda coming into North Africa and was involved in -- -- causing mass.
So she has a record now to be judged upon -- -- Hollered at the S senate hearing what difference does it make well it does make a difference to Hillary Clinton's for future political career.
And that is an adrenaline got away with some stuff that we're -- run it would.
-- called to account that I and -- point is that you think that there would be room to her left.
After all -- Was in favor of the Iraq War.
She was before she was against -- bush who was against it she was in favor of intervention in Libya.
She just recently changed your position on gay marriage you would think that the real left in them.
Democratic Party would be saying are we selling out once again they feel sold out by this president that don't think this president as far -- left for them.
So there is an opportunity the question is who would -- -- -- and I can say is that for years before 2008 we didn't know Barack Obama was either so there may be somebody out there and that person's profile just hasn't risen to -- point.
When we can identify who would run for her left I think we'll be somewhat.
-- -- -- She aren't allowed to keep arms arms and I kind of event.
-- Elizabeth Warren is pretty big name in this town right now on the left I mean she is the star in the US senate -- -- she would run against Hillary Clinton yes and let me just tell you something.
What's interesting about this is I think what we're really talking about is a generation of American women I think we're going through a sea change in the society with regard to how women are viewed.
Hillary Clinton is the standard beer for American women at the moment but if you bring at a younger generation.
Up American woman who's more energetic who is taking on the big issues of this thing in terms of the economy.
That's Elizabeth warm.
And the second thing to say it's.
What about the Hispanic community in this country you are under estimating the power of an emerging voting group especially with people like.
Who in -- that San Antonio it was always just the mayor.
But guess what that mayor right now is the hottest ticket in American politics.
And you look at him and you look at what would.
Big money people are likely to get behind they're not gonna if if it's between Hillary Clinton -- -- Cuomo there with Hillary Clinton.
But you start -- in the Castro Brothers or you start talking about some of the support that could be generated.
By Democratic Party that wants to maintain its firewall against Republican inroads into the Hispanic community and suddenly.
Hey we didn't see this guy come -- we -- know how big he was.
And the one final thought is on the left senator fine go up in Wisconsin Howard Dean is still out there Howard Dean never been part of the Obama Clinton machine.
Those guys would definitely make opening themselves -- So it went but Jerry Brown fifty an hour doesn't -- it's -- anything.
That if if she runs is gonna win the democratic nomination Norton and okay.
Thank you battle but that just doesn't -- -- I can't say that's the -- it was pretty -- can't.
Second let us throughout the week let us know what you like about the -- -- and whether we're crazy to even be talking about it at this point.
But for my Monday edition -- Wallace -- -- can -- it -- your thoughts on the dot com.
We'll see you back here next.
