-- the national fatherhood initiative Vincent.
Because pot -- -- with delta mend had to sort of put together a club for -- is -- why the partnership and how does the club work.
-- you know we we really want to create a place where dads could come together.
With other dads to support each other on also support that the work that we're doing around trying to you know strengthen the institution of fatherhood in America.
It's a dove men plus care was just an ideal.
Partner for this because it is because the -- a brand has really committed themselves to supporting dads who care about what matters on so we partner with them to create this dads club.
That something and that's conjoined on for a one time donation to the national fatherhood initiative in your club a club member for life.
And that donation obviously goes towards supporting our work to promote responsible fatherhood but would you get out of that.
On again -- access to a club of like minded man.
Who are working through all these issues around -- that are just so important for dads to work through so that our kids can have the best ads that they could they can get.
So how does it -- here you go when you sign up for the dads club you make the donation and then go and what it's it's basically a place to go and a half.
To -- to get ideas on fixing problems that you maybe haven't.
Yes so we're gonna do and a number different ways one of the kind of modern ways I guess so to speak of doing that is using -- the hash tag.
Dads club on Twitter so we're gonna start -- -- hash tag on Twitter all the time so that the dads club members will be able to go on and and you know join in this conversation that'll be ongoing.
I'm on Twitter and where the father factor.
On Twitter and then we're gonna also had a members only kind of exclusive newsletter.
That's gonna go -- all those members who who join up.
On -- through that newsletter we're gonna share advice we're gonna share stories we're gonna highlight our spotlight members of the dads club.
Just ordinary you know regular dads who -- just doing great things to make sure that they're there for their for their kids.
And so this'll start to really form a community.
On the -- so to speak we're -- can really come together and you know helped themselves -- each other on and help our organization.
Really address this issue of a responsible father -- these days Vincent what what are the major issues that tether fathers who come to that.
National fatherhood initiative -- help or advice are really dealing with.
I I think some of the most common issues and maybe this isn't so much of a surprise two to fathers of teenagers but.
This the whole area around disciplined and that doesn't only apply to teenagers obviously but I think discipline is a really tough issue.
That lots of parents in general and -- also of course deal with.
You how to effectively discipline your children that some something -- we write about a lot as a result of getting a lot of questions around that.
On another another big topic is what's actually do with your children so activity.
You know ideas and so -- specific some -- My sons for you know what can I do with him this weekend or my son's twelve what -- do with him.
This weekend so -- those sorts of things really kind of coming up with really practical.
Stuff you know that you can hang up on your refrigerator and there is seven ways to more effectively discipline your child or.
For activity ideas for this weekend that you can do with your children and that's really the sort of stuff that -- partnered with dove men plus care to create.
For dads as they as they enter into this dads club that we've created for them.
And then and then there's the issue of course all of those kids who basically do not have a father in their life.
How big an issue is that and in the country these days.
Yeah you know it's a big issue unfortunately there's about 24 million children today grow apps and their biological father.
I'm so it's really important to make sure that those dads are really being engaged around something like this that's -- well.
Because in a sense they had even more to gain from entering into community of involved fathers to really help them.
You know become as engaged as they possibly can and their children's lives.
Because despite there there may be physical absence from their children's lives in -- not necessarily even live in the same home -- their children.
But they obviously still have an opportunity to be great dads and their kids.
Absolutely need that from them so we want to provide support for really all kinds of fathers regardless of their station.
To help -- really you know tackle this issue a father father in a responsible father.
Is -- what about what about you was riding in here isn't anyone listening on -- chat boards.
Out wondering why I mean the focus on father's why like -- would be like out mothers.
Be part of that of the dads club -- -- the fact that the mothers not fathers but what I mean why you'll focus just on father's explain that too obvious.
Well I mean for one thing -- the national fatherhood initiative -- -- reform back in 1994.
At a time when you know more than a third of all kids were growing up without that -- homes -- our organization was really founded nineteen years ago to address specifically this issue father absence.
And I think that's really the key leaders -- You're not seeing really large numbers of of children our country grown up without mom's mom.
We can go into it a whole discussion about why that's the case but moms tend not to be absent from their their children's lives in so.
Our organization really wants to focus on this fatherhood -- because I think there's something unique and irreplaceable.
About about good -- -- and since we are dealing with you know really different issues around -- -- -- dealing with motherhood today.
That's what we've decided to focus on that but.
You know were were all for mom's coming to us on and getting the help that they need.
For the fathers of their children or frankly even for themselves.
-- -- identify mentor for their for their children if they're in need of something like that.
And even to to sign up their husband or the father of their children.
For our dad's clubs to start giving him access that -- information all right the website is fatherhood dot all got.
-- dads club if you want information on the national fatherhood.
Initiatives partnership with -- dove men plus -- there it is on the screen right now.
