This is a solid movie add this is as you said the story in Jackie Robinson.
And the first couple years of his experience with the major leagues he had previously played in the American negro leagues for the Kansas City monarch.
This focus is on him breaking the color barrier in professional sports.
And playing national league baseball.
With the Brooklyn Dodgers.
It was very controversial at the time and this movie covers that I he had to deal with a lot overt racism and bigotry.
And this movie doesn't pull any punches on showing that it's a powerful movie written and directed by Brian -- -- who wrote LA confidential.
And this is a solid film I would really recommend it it's one of the best performances we've seen.
Out of Harrison Ford -- a long long time he plays that -- general manager.
And a gentlemanly -- those -- who done a lot of TV here.
Please Jackie Robinson died he's very good too I would see the movie plays it safe a little bit and coast a little bit of its subject matter in that it's a very important story.
And you don't necessarily feel like you learn anything you didn't really already know or expect.
But I would say this is absolutely worth seeing in most the critics like it to this score is in the seventies.
As of this morning.
Wow that's pretty good and then nice to see Harrison Ford getting away I mean it took me he became a little bit sort of -- Costas output of pong guy trying to rescue everybody in the and it all of these movies nice to see him doing something different and as you say it seems have paid off and.
Yeah actually I think he's really been pushed to show some range here and you know -- -- you kind of forget you're seeing.
You know the Indiana Jones Han -- that we we've known for so long and a lot of you know we really see him kind of disappeared to a role and it's a really welcome surprise.
In the supporting cast is great here to Chris Maloney.
Who lives in law and order is really good is one of the baseball managers.
McGinley plays the legendary sportscaster red barber he's really fun to watch.
To the point that I actually want to see somebody spin off a movie.
And do a movie based on red barber the starring John C.
McGinley I think that would be a real treat.
And dressing and that what -- via via the other Lisa this weekend the other -- -- scary movie fox be beaten to do they -- He asks us.
Sadly it seems like they do.
You know this movie was not screened for critics of as I've said before Jonathan I nobody hides a good movie from the critics.
You know there are people who like these films.
That's fine if you really want to go see them.
I don't particularly care for these -- critics down they'll probably do OK at the box office these movies really succeed aren't.
-- -- referential type humor you know jokes that really are based on whether or not recognize something.
It's a horror movie spoof of movies like -- I -- paranormal activity sinister.
Stars Charlie Sheen and Lindsay -- in which right now is apparent that everybody was trying to see in the movies.
You how directed by David Zucker who I think has a great history he directed airplane he worked on the naked gun movies.
I'd like to see him get back in the smarter material or at least -- a -- over that spot.
Look if you want to see something really really really stupid this weekend.
You're welcome to go see this I think I'll probably be -- Up at bat but -- -- at this map there are plenty of people who really you wanna go to the movies and he's -- generously written statement.
