Eight days later this young beautiful girl post on her FaceBook page worst day ever.
And then hangs herself Fred who should be held accountable for this child's death.
That it well it's interesting yeah I mean I could talk about a lot of different things you know I have four sons under the age seventeen -- in high school.
And I can tell you this is such a very very difficult time for young for young children young adults.
And and there's a lot of people first the ball with these three boys to -- this woman was quite frankly unconscionable and criminal they will be charged with that.
And now there's conflicting stories about what they're not the pictures that they took of her.
We're circulating on telephones or cell phones were posted on social media.
Interestingly in California there's actually -- statute that allows you to hold parents criminally actually criminally responsible.
If for injury for the delinquency of a minor -- and it happens if they did not exercise reasonable care.
And obviously from what I understand they were not home and his party took place and obviously this was an unsupervised event.
You know -- I want to talk a little bit more about the influence of social media on her death I mean because teenagers all across this.
Country and the world really have to deal with this these days something that you know we really have to deal with and we were growing up.
I can't imagine how they do but you know this rises above the cyber bullying in this was a crime that took place in assault if in fact -- did.
I had these pictures were posted online by not just you know that the perpetrators themselves but by others could they be held accountable.
The answer is yes you know it's a team we had this debate about a year ago about charging minors -- that you show social media itself as the -- took to text pictures.
Themselves in and without the close on or in I don't know with these pictures -- like.
And getting charged with transporting it in trafficking in pornography.
And people are yelling and screaming about how that's a kind of a big sledgehammer to use for which usually is a kind of well I didn't finish get -- thing by teenagers.
In this instance it was evidence of a crime and you're absolutely right and I see this kind of first -- Social media is it is a tremendous tremendous problem with with our kids and tonight -- want to go off about but not.
Who has access to whose FaceBook page is apparent that -- as a parent every parent should know where their childless once social media and have all their -- you don't wanna hear it.
But unfortunately got to do because this is what could happen this is recently foreseeable.
You know what your kids are doing it would be the lesson there ya I wanna talk about.
The wrongful death lawsuit specifically that -- -- parents have decided to go four against these three young men you know why the wrongful death lawsuit also.
We have a statement to from one of the attorneys are the attorneys representing the young man and I want to get this in there to be fair and balanced.
The attorney saying for the suspects much of what has been reported over the last several days.
Is inaccurate most disturbing is the attempt to -- Audrey suicide.
To this specific actions of these three boys and in fact.
It was statements like that made over the weekend.
That made these parents -- parents decide to file this wrongful death lawsuit.
If you know I I try to teach my kids discretion is the better part of valor this defense lawyer really should have not picked up the afternoon to keep his -- -- If you want -- each time tonight -- that's his business.
But you're talking.
You're making a statement that the parents who have lost a child which is about the most unspeakable -- I could ever imagine to make a statement like that I can understand why the parents reacted the way they did.
As far as the wrongful death case is concerned.
What what it is is a civil action it's a lawsuit and it basically says that what you did.
Was approximate cause or cause the death of my child.
And if the jury believed it then money damages wallflower that I happens Fred TC thank you so much for joining us thanks for having just awful situation -- that handling -- coming.
