Personal story segment tonight all of our allies to change -- -- -- terror attack on 9/11 airport travel never been the same.
Iraq War cost America dearly in blood and treasure our national debt skyrocket.
Of course -- terror attack is on a much smaller scale but will it affect how we all live.
Joins album Austin, Texas Fox News analyst Karl Rove for get to that do you know Barney Frank do you know him.
Can you explain pleasant person can you explain this to me I know frank.
But I think that I I I I disliked him so much that my judgment may be clouded here.
Now well he would like he's an ideologue and he is a hyper partisan and so.
In a moment of national calamity is first instinct it's not a conscious when I think of the just think it's how -- operates.
Is to try and find some way to say conservatives and Republicans are bad and Democrats and big government Democrats are good so -- first thing he says his attacks could -- would have saved us from this well guess what a tax increase.
-- -- -- -- either this is -- you know this is a terrorist attack on the soft underbelly of America with lots of soft targets.
Like a big big.
Sporting event so big gatherings of people -- in concerts for example.
Big gatherings of people doing their shopping like at the Mall of America and as a society we're just gonna have to learn to live with the fact that they it.
That we do have those soft targets in the enemy is gonna strike.
OK but but see it's more than that though.
Was a congressman from Boston his history will wasn't in the marathon or where the people were killed but he was close.
Seattle family grieving an eight year old boy all right you got to bother.
You just saw car.
And then here we go with well.
We don't want to cut taxes -- -- I'm saying to myself who does this.
Well I if you've ever steady camera Barney Frank you know that he's got very little empathy for other people this -- one of the most sort of self contained.
You know big government liberals and he just you know and everybody else ordinary people I just don't think he relates well to my I don't think he understands you know how terrible that mother felt how.
You know how Al grief stricken she wasn't just how -- -- you not what he's got that big because look like if you ever seen him at a committee hearing he's one of the most rude and obnoxious people he has no human courtesy.
He just like rants and raves and you know it's look at it if Barney Frank get to just live with -- but again I don't think he has -- the I don't think he relates well to ordinary people the idea of you know -- -- has not been touched in their heart.
By reading -- -- these reports of what happened in Boston or hearing these voices of the you've suffered a loss almost beyond belief or have.
Suffered grievous wounds to their family members I mean it's horrifying.
And and and we all feel touch bad that there are some people who -- -- when they see and hear that kind of thing immediately seek.
For a political opportunity to score an ideological point and that's just what he does.
So when you look at the Boston situation and you compare it to the nine elevenths situation which change everybody's mindset.
Now some people snap back.
Some people change and now they've changed back.
But the nation will never be the same.
Do you see any element of that and Boston could that affect the nation in any concrete way.
I hope it doesn't cause us to change how we who we are and how we act.
But I hope it does encourage people to recognize that America is filled with soft targets.
And it sounds itself pedestrian but if you see something suspicious.
Say something about it you know we we wins and in in our society we have.
Lots of places where terrorists of whatever stripe might like to attack.
If they just want to kill innocent life -- crowded.
Crowded and have -- decided already society is vulnerable -- of apple we don't -- -- -- paranoia I know we don't we don't we don't we don't but but but look there's a reasonable test here.
Somebody's doing something suspicious and it.
And it just doesn't sound right look right say something to somebody and but you have -- look we we we we have responsibility to care for each other and after 9/11 frankly it helped that Americans came together so we you know what I've I've but let me tell you about the guy who came to the air it aired air training program and who didn't seem right let me tell you about the people who checked into the hotel and Portland Maine and it didn't seem right.
Those things matter but you're right we don't we don't want to change the fundamental.
Nature who we are by reacting to this -- -- and we don't want to live in -- but we do have vigilance is what you're talking about and vigilance is always a good thing.
-- -- we appreciate as always thank you play.
