We are starting to getting more clear picture of what they did.
In the time after the blast and what role they may have had in helping the suspects let's -- from the beginning.
The first blast shattering the -- of the patriots sit marathon happened at 2:50 PM to 5:0 PM on April 15.
Three were killed approximately 200 were injured -- -- Around 5 PM on April 18 the following Thursday Boston Marathon bombing on a Monday Thursday night.
FBI agents unveil their first pictures of the suspects Tamil and Joseph -- -- have although they didn't know their names at that time they're asking us the public to tell them -- we knew that.
It was around 8:43 PM that same night.
That Diaz cutter by one of the three men arrested yesterday texted Joseph cars -- -- -- it's Alan you look like one of the bombing suspects he'd seen on TV.
-- -- -- -- response quote LO well.
And then you better not text me and then come to my room and take whatever you want.
A little later in the evening quote I'm about to leave if you need something in my room take it all that Joseph concerning.
Seventeen minutes later at 9 PM the affidavit says that -- by.
And the other two eyes met -- Jiaka and rebel -- posts.
All of whom were arrested yesterday.
Would be -- -- -- dorm room.
And noticed a backpack with fireworks and a -- Vasily.
At that point the affidavit suggests.
That cutter by Evan Tauziat.
Decided to take those items along with -- -- laptop.
By 11 o'clock that night just two hours later MIT campus police officers John collier would be shot dead allegedly.
By -- -- and his brother.
And it was that same night or possibly in the early hours of April 19.
The cutter by Evans has Jiaka decide to throw away.
-- -- backpack.
And the fireworks according to the affidavit.
The other Guy -- those claims it was only -- he woke up from his -- that he discovered the backpack was gone and indeed the police may believe him because he was charged with obstruction just with lying to investigators.
Marc Berman is a former LE PD homicide detective and he's gonna take us through some of this mark.
Here's the thing that jumped out at me as I read the affidavit on the timing -- -- the viewers through some of it.
But one thing we left out was this.
Directory for the affidavit says on that Thursday night between 6 PM and 7 PM.
Cutter by anti the act out the -- -- all three from met at the at the UMass Dartmouth campus and went to -- -- dorm room.
Sony has roommate left them -- They spent some time inside watching a movie.
And they noticed the backpack containing fireworks.
They'd been opened.
Pop up Bob that's when cutter by have allegedly realized -- had been involved in the bombing.
They start that chain of events between six and 7 PM well before.
Cotter but I have and you'll carts are -- have worked texting one another about well you look like one of the bombers and so -- So one hour after the FBI shows us the pictures of Saturday of for the first time at 5 PM one hour after these three guys meet up on campus and the first thing they decide to do.
Is did go to Joseph cars are named storm room.
What does that tell you.
Well it tells me somebody's -- certainly you look at the situation exactly the way it's laid out in this affidavit.
And this affidavits and arrest affidavit -- it's the addendum to an arrest warrant so I'm sure there's still remain the top of the facts but.
The basic facts should be in chronological order so we're gonna assume that at 5 o'clock PM.
They released the photos of these two suspects from the bombing.
That's between six and seven you've got these characters showing up at joke cars.
Dorm room and and he's there -- allowed him by his roommates -- there just.
Lounging around and they just happen to notice a backpack that just happens to be open.
With fireworks that have been emptied of their -- powder.
I mean anybody can call BS on this one.
They went there supposedly they didn't even see the photos on TV -- later in the affidavit it said that they leave.
Joseph -- dorm room and go back to one of their apartment and then they watched the news.
Now what's interesting about all of this is they bring up the fact that in that backpack there was gasoline.
These college kids.
Knew that Vasily and is used in a homemade bomb.
Which is -- in arresting him is is I don't think anybody outside the somebody it's been involved in either making a bomb.
Or -- bomb investigation.
Would know that I certainly don't know a soul that would know that in fact.
I don't know anybody in law enforcement that I associate with that would know that so they knew that.
They made that conclusion.
There is -- -- feeling -- is that either today watched Joseph Carr make bombs.
Assisted listen to him and quite possibly they -- loosely what his intent was.
But they didn't think he'd act on -- and door they were actually part of planning and in the beginning stages but backed off.
Some things here that doesn't matter out.
That's the thing the -- Celine is quite devastating potentially because.
According to the affidavit they decided to help their friend they did realize at some -- first they said before they went over his dorm room -- seen his pictures.
And wonder and said hey it looks like him and they went over to the dorm room and then started collecting evidence but it wasn't until later that they knew it was him for sure.
When they went to that dorm room mark they took the backpack they took the fireworks they took the laptop computer and they took the fastening and if you are an innocent friend.
-- an innocent quotes.
Who just wants to help your friend avoid arrest for suspicion.
How do you know without talking to them is they're not they're not alleging -- conversation took place.
I just read the viewers attacks how do you know to to put the vast -- in the backpack and get rid or who think.
Obviously you look at the interview with -- Joseph -- Obviously that didn't go far enough -- we actually have something in the affidavit that refers to these.
Three man -- there is nothing from Joseph -- that he made statements to the FBI.
During his interviews so he it's concealing information.
I agree with you I think that Joseph Carr had a conversation with one or more of these individuals.
And he instructed them what to go get -- trying to make gates may be a somewhat in this -- sounding I'm just gonna help a friend that when people.
You know and a and a murder investigation a terrorist act like this.
When they exert.
If -- they and it interject themselves into the investigation.
And take evidence.
And hide or destroy it what they're usually doing in his protecting themselves.
They don't hide that evidence then they suspect it's in custody.
Might actually implicate them later and that would be the proof of -- implication is the evidence so if you get rid of the evidence like the laptop.
Tax you know.
I don't think they're very sophisticated.
How they got rid of any thing but nonetheless they did it in the way that they thought that they should.
But the biggest issue is they did it and for what reason.
Movement their lawyers deny it it will play out mark thank you.
Megan asked one thing.
-- go ahead mark quickly.
We're coming up and heartbreak and insects and section sixteen this FBI agent talks about a -- -- identifying.
Both of these Brothers says the suspects in the bombing and then in the next paragraph it says they release their photos.
I hope it's -- a logically.
You know a mistake but.
In the affidavit it is seems like they've already identified -- by DMV photos before they release the photos.
-- -- now that must be mistake is they say they needed our help in identifying and I think our problem yes I hope I gotta run the.
