-- -- up on Wednesday on Capitol Hill we're gonna hear mode more testimony about -- -- this time.
A couple of people who are designated by the government -- whistle blowers.
-- to tell -- well we know about them so far first up.
Gregory hicks is going to be -- testifying.
Deputy chief of mission at the US embassy in Libya at the time of the -- Ghazi terrorist attack he is the highest ranking official after.
The ambassador was killed over there he also made very clear that it was terrorism from the get go maybe one of the last people to talk to ambassador the message to.
We also have a former marine deputy coordinator for operations he is Mark Thompson.
He's at the counterterrorism bureau it's interesting because he was not solicited according to -- report from Hillary Clinton about his input on the after action report.
Also Eric Nordstrom who actually kind of -- not it was a blur because you -- testified.
A couple months ago originally he was the one who said look we called -- called called for more security and it's simply never came.
Somebody who has not let this story go away is representative Jason change this congressman from -- and trying to get answers from the very beginning member of the house oversight committee he's our guest this morning good morning to congressman.
Good morning it was so -- now we're gonna have these hearings coming up on on Wednesday so what are we gonna see here that is new information and do you believe.
This was a cover.
Well we were certainly -- -- at every step of the way to hear from the administration there's nothing wrong here the accountable to revert you board has looked at this and there's nothing wrong and what you're doing is just political.
But what we have established as despite four and a half months after the this tragic thing.
Secretary Clinton still came to the United States congress -- testified that the people on the ground made the decisions about security that never happened.
We heard yesterday when -- -- -- -- -- was able to release some information from.
The chief of mission there mr.
That there were serious ramifications for us not releasing -- for those Sunday talk shows.
That there was a reason why the FBI took three weeks to get there at the president of Libya had actually gone -- -- got -- and he made statements that he believed.
That it was a coordinated well planned attack it yet Susan Rice went out there.
And just totally -- that apart.
That caused the huge delay in our ability to tempering those terrorists to justice and then the other thing that I would anticipate that we here as we have consistently heard from.
The White House itself from the secretary of defense from others the accountability a review board have all said.
There were no military assets that could have been brought to bear -- that when he five hours.
And I think what we're gonna find is.
There were military assets there was military personnel.
They were told to stand so are you saying that admiral Pickering and admiral Mullen are complicit in the cover up because they did the review board are you saying that the CIA is complicit.
Because they allowed their talking points to be -- Buy it seems to me that the intelligence community actually did a fairly good job in this semi from what I've been -- to see.
We have not been able to uncover everything this is not the last hearing that I think -- United States congress for the year.
These are two or three very brave people who are stepping up.
At great personal risk to tell the world what they saw in their own firsthand account these are not political appointees these are career foreign service people and I I think that's what makes -- about admiral Mullen and admiral Pickering why would they sacrificed their reputation but again the report that was inaccurate.
You're gonna have -- media's gonna have to ask that question I mean that -- that the media by and large is is really dropped the ball on this they have not asked tough questions this is a panel that was appointed by president by Secretary Clinton.
Yet she wasn't even interviewed in this report -- so I think what you're gonna fight over the course of time that.
There are a lot of holes in what they reported because they said the communication worked perfectly they said there was no military and I think we're gonna hear from people who work on the ground.
There in Libya who'll testify as to their perspective -- what really happened let's take a look.
Here's a preview of what mr.
Gregory hicks is going to be talking about his his quote.
I think everybody in the mission thought it was a terrorist attack from the beginning I never reported a demonstration I reported on an attack.
On the consulate.
Chris is last report if you want to say his final report is Greg.
We are under attack so that's something from him also I Fox News that we've got a story this morning regarding Hillary.
But he Clinton and a key aide try to cut.
The state department's counterterrorism bureau out of the chain reporting.
In decision making and how to characterize the attacks as well she's pretty sound congressman like she really had very little to do with it.
But sounds like she was to her best to get around that right.
Well we have the in this State Department counterterrorism unit there's that there's a unit called the facts before an emergency support team.
If you go look up on the website this is the one and only group that we have that is the inner agency coordinator for disasters like this.
If there's a hostage situation if they're -- were in parallel whenever embassies.
They take great pride in that they had trained and prepared and they have personality inter agency weigh in order to engage in this one of the questions that I think that congress has -- Why is it that Secretary Clinton never turn that but not they weren't invited to the meetings they weren't stood up.
When that wind that they'll Cole was -- USS Cole was bottle and then Nairobi incident happened fast was the one that was put into action -- but they're part of the counterterrorism so.
You just wonder if there -- a political this is rather than -- -- believes -- it it sounds like what you've described it sounds like there's been a cover up but what were they trying to cover up.
Well again this is why we're fighting for the truth is none of this would've come out -- the oversight committee it if there realize that our committee didn't continue to pursue this.
We -- been told the rest of the world by the Obama administration go on there's nothing wrong here it was just the video gone -- so.
I don't know what else we're gonna -- -- -- -- -- my question -- -- the reelection of the president.
Well I think it was political rather than security and -- -- but what boggles my mind it's four and a half months after the fact Secretary Clinton still have the gall to come here and perpetuate things that we know is common knowledge are simply not your congressman.
It's an interesting question because it does involves so many high level people you have the former secretary of defense Leon Panetta who was revered by both sides of the fence coming out and saying hey.
We couldn't have gotten anybody -- you have -- on the line you have former secretary of state Hillary Clinton Susan Rice President Obama.
Admiral -- and we would all of these people go to bat just to get President Obama re -- about David Petraeus David Petraeus former director of the C hey.
Well again I I think the intelligence community is the best I can tell has probably done a better job throughout this than -- -- let it out -- to report to be scrubbed.
Well again this is what we're gonna have the chief of mission into the number two like where we're gonna ask the number two person the person who went.
When the ambassador wasn't there he was the -- he was the person that was on the phone let's ask him.
He's a wonderful patriotic person when I went to Libya the first week of October I met with them.
I felt that he was being suppressed in his ability to share information with me then.
But now he's taken -- very difficult personal step in gilt charity in his own words not some Republican you know from you talk.
We're gonna hear from the guy who is actually there because -- okay so we're gonna hear from three.
Career officials from the Department of State what about that the contractors that you know the special operators I think there were seven there that night.
Two were killed were murdered.
What about the other five.
Well there are a lot of people on the ground that we would like to talk to and I as I've talked to several times over the last several months.
These whistle blowers about a very difficult time they're afraid of what would happen to them at the Department of State.
We think we're working part of that out but I'm telling yet.
You can talk to the attorneys they won't say that they are very difficult time getting the security clearances they need from state ordered talk to their client comes out watching a Chris Wallace just a Congressman Lynch is used to be very sensible Massachusetts congressman should -- -- -- -- -- some Democrats into this process.
Why didn't you.
We totally did.
We're in the same boat first of all I went over to Libya no Democrat decided or elected to go with -- State Department set a reminder to go with me.
We have been asking for documents from the State Department we've given it didn't give -- eight charges that we can only review in camera that is we have to go into a room where the state -- coverage and watching take notes about what I can look like look at even -- even non classified documents that is so strong interest I can tell you -- -- not a single Democrat has ever come down enjoys some of their staff did but not a single member did but that's always.
I don't that that could change though now because it seemed to that interview yesterday like more Democrats may be coming on board -- -- saint Phillips what actually happened here.
A congressman Jason -- it's thank you so much for joining us this morning to to bring more details about the whys of this story -- you.
