And as we get rolling on this Monday morning three whistle -- set to shake up Washington this week with some shocking new testimony on the deadly terror attack that took the lives of four Americans in Ben -- Libya.
Good morning I'm John Scott.
And I'm generally and for I'm -- now part of a difference not only today.
Thank you it's -- you don't get those things -- -- when he the right.
Well a lot of serious now the whistle blowers all State Department employees who claimed to have knowledge of the hours long -- they will speak publicly together for the very first time.
And we're also getting a preview from one of the men who was in Libya at the time of the attack you could see him right there Gregory hicks is his name.
And he's telling the house oversight committee that he thought it was terrorism from the very be getting.
And he reported that that way now despite initial comments from the Obama administration that was a protest that had spiraled out of control.
So California -- congressman Darrell ice who of course heads the house oversight committee.
Said earlier this morning on Fox News that -- -- information was not welcome at the State Department.
And heat was ultimately -- silence was with us.
He will be the one who can tell what the last words to outside of Ben -- were of the ambassador which is great were under attack.
He will be able to to explain when he expressed that -- both in real time and then later to Beth Jones at the State Department.
These were unwelcome.
And ultimately he was cut out of the process of those famous talking points that got changed by the State Department -- perhaps the White House.
Steve Centanni is live for us in Washington this morning good morning there Steve what are you hearing that that we will learn about -- -- he later this week right.
Well the basic point you're talking about Gates's testimony and others we'll hear that on Wednesday that congressional hearings this week we'll hear from whistle blowers who know what happened in the Gaza because they were there.
Now they're expected to tell congress the Obama administration put out a false story about the events at the consulate.
One of the whistle blowers as you heard his Gregory hicks he used the deputy chief of mission at the Ben Ghazi consulate who told house staff in advance of his testimony quote.
I think everybody in the mission thought it was a terrorist attack from the beginning I never reported that demonstration I reported an attack on the consulate.
Of course despite this UN ambassador Susan Rice went out all the Sunday talk shows saying it was a demonstration that got out of hand.
Hicks says he wishes he'd gotten a heads up he said even on Sunday morning I could have been called -- you know the phone call.
Could have been hey Greg ambassador rice is gonna say blah blah blah and I could have said no that's not the right thing.
That phone call was never made the house oversight and Government Reform Committee will hear the test.
-- -- -- -- what are we hearing that we may learn that's -- about former secretary of state Hillary Clinton.
Well Fox News has learned that a State Department whistle blower testified this week that.
Clinton and an aide tried in essence to keep their department's own counter terrorism unit out of the loop in the aftermath of that attack.
And of course some members of congress clearly frustrated by all this by all the administration's actions those.
To hear from the administration there's nothing wrong here the accountable to revert you board has looked at this and there's nothing wrong and what you're doing is just political.
But what we have established -- despite four and a half months after the this tragic thing Secretary Clinton still came to the United States congress and testified that the people on the ground made the decisions about security.
That never happened.
And the -- of course get underway on Wednesday -- all right Steve Centanni is live in Washington thank you so much that.
