Brian Todd from CNN com could you tell us anything about the source or finding out about just now of a second residence on Seymour avenue were apparently the officials went in with protective suits masks dogs this is -- two doors down.
From the Castro home to tell us what's going on there.
Yet that is a continuation.
Of the search that we conducted.
At the home I'm not Seymour avenue.
During the course of our investigation over the last couple of days.
Information was obtained that provided us enough probable cause to seek another search warrant to going to that house.
-- with an attempt to secure.
No no suspects are there and what's going on is that is the FBI's evidence recovery team.
And that is they're they're crime scene unit and they do.
Put to protective suits on and -- -- when -- with gloves and they search and photographs felt very meticulously.
All the contents of that home what.
Well I -- it is the exact connection but I can't say that during the course of our investigation.
Information that was obtained led us to that address.
Good evening serve my name is Ainsley -- -- work for Fox News Channel out of New York City.
A lot of our viewers want to know did these girls over the course of that ten year period eleven year period ever tried to escape.
Where their drugs involved for these was aerial Castro drugging these girls to prevent them from escaping and what what allowed them what window of opportunity allowed him to escape this time.
Well number one we're not.
Positive about any type of -- drugs if they were drugged that's yet to be determined.
A number two.
The only opportunity.
After interviewing of the young ladies to escape was the other day when Amanda escaped so they were in that home.
I don't believe they don't believe that they've been outside of the home.
For the last ten years respectively where they -- together in one room they hit they were not in one room but they did.
Know each other and they -- know each other was there.
And one more question what's your relationship the child's relationship with the father what will that being.
And as far as the relationship that hasn't been determined.
There's going to be a paternity test taken it was a search warrant executed on the suspect took TV -- DNA great thank you.
Think she kind of sent to China -- him nineteen.
-- I want to know it's mr.
Castro area pastor was cooperating with investigators easy speaking -- -- And do you suspect there -- any other victims beyond these three women and a little girl.
Yes she was he was read his provided his Miranda rights which he -- and he did speak with us and provided us.
The division a police FBI and a prosecutor's office with a detailed statement and as of right now.
We don't see -- we don't anticipate any other victims had his.
That -- he's a suspect.
OK can ask for more -- about the reward money do we know.
If anybody were receiving anywhere reward money to put -- -- -- you know we don't but we are actually discussing that so that's gonna be two.
Entities that put up that reward money and what their protocol is plucked off.
Ramsey does deserve something a lot of credit and he is the true key to this case don't.
Tom -- with a channel three Cleveland here.
Would be safe to save it to the the bulk of your case is based upon the statements for the women how how much -- your case is based upon.
What they told -- it did that's.
The major part of the case is what they told us of what the other interviews.
-- -- the suspect coalition with the young ladies told us without a doubt I mean they were the ones that were there they were though the main players senate and what they told.
Law enforcement was was key and that's going to be a key part in the case I mean did -- were they able to get into the ten year narrative here I mean the history of this so much as much as transpired well but you don't tell did you get it you know as far as.
The history of it I mean it was it.
It was a lengthy interview and I don't want to really get into -- but.
Of rape victims of trauma particularly young victims.
They've been known to disclose.
Years later so as of right now they did provide us with enough information and enough factual.
Basis that we would seek -- -- we would seek charges against aerial Castro thank you.
I -- a lot of -- -- with the Los Angeles Times is there any evidence that mr.
Castro or any of these girls to be in any way connected with Ashley Summers or is there any new information that's come to -- about her.
There is no new information that's come to light about her -- actually Summers is an active open investigation.
And I can assure you that.
Her disappearance was part of our questioning.
Of the three subjects that we brought in but that's still an open and active investigation.
And is there any sign that mr.
Castro was interviewed by Cleveland police or an FBI prior to this date for any reason no yesterday was the first time.
Lisa Russell at W that's why -- climbed -- want to ask one about the fiscal restraints.
Said she allegedly used inside -- home to keep the girls there.
What verbal threats he may have made and also other pregnancies.
Possibly -- -- that the other girls -- attack you don't want all that is you know evidentiary.
At this time as far as admit that hinges quite a bit on that prosecutions I really don't want to get into.
-- answer those three questions that's just.
Something that is gonna have to be brought -- in court I can't bring -- -- -- public.
TI IQ I know the chief mentioned something earlier about that today but as far as exactly what that was.
We cannot bring out onto the public form at this time it's not appropriate.
Joseph -- an -- news channel five Cleveland.
It was a suicide note from aerial Castro found in his home.
Debt today is another part.
Of evidence that we recovered that I cannot comment on on the basis so that there was over 200 items.
Taken from the home.
-- -- -- -- All those items will be processed they were all taken -- to the custody of the FBI's evidence response team.
They've yet to be processed yet exactly what they are.
I don't know there is C.
Well a crime scene log.
But that is part of the open investigation but I can tell you there was over 200 items taken out of that home.
Any questions -- about the citizenship of the Castro Brothers are the US citizens.
I don't know.
I couldn't tell -- thanks.
We get a lot of questions earlier regarding -- -- -- 911 calls that may have been have come up then that then responded to.
I'll try to answer that question the best they can in -- -- after.
The recovery of the three victims and their daughter from a -- -- Seymour avenue began a search.
-- records to determine whether or not there any other calls for service to that house and Seymour.
Our review indicated there were no other calls except one call for service.
In 2000 and we were able to identify the Cleveland police rental home once in 2004.
For an incident that involved mr.
Castro -- as part of his employment.
There's a school bus record at city Cleveland.
As a result of the evidence has been obtained thus far.
The statements from the suspect.
And the victims.
There is no evidence to indicate that any of them wherever outside in the yard in chains.
Or any other.
Manner in fact I think the evidence we've obtained thus far indicates.
Then the last decade they've only known themselves to be outside of the home on two separate occasions and that was only briefly.
Josh Haskell with ABC news' deputy chief can you tell -- about O'Neal and Pedro relationship with.
Their brother Mario did they know.
That there were three women living in the house against there -- did any idea about what was going on inside that house.
Well as far as your relationship you know I couldn't tell you we focused on -- knowledge.
Or lack golf knowledge but absolutely not there is.
That leads us to believe.
That they were involved -- they had any knowledge of this and that comes from statements of our victims.
And their statements and their brother statements so -- what their relationship was.
-- was kept everybody at a distance so -- jolt on they are -- -- Puerto Rico.
So I think answered questions about your citizenship.
Jennifer and anger and channel three news can you clarify then why Pedro Antonio Castro were taken into custody in relation in this case they -- there they -- with their brother.
And it was a investigate -- stop.
And as you know early on -- you can only imagine the the chaos and the relief that we had to find in these three girls.
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- We continued our investigation.
No facts to link them to the crime and we do.
What we usually do -- we consult with the prosecutor.
For charges or for.
Them to be released.
So that's that's the reason.
Can you tell us when there are arraignment will be for their outstanding warrants and will not be able to go home they should be in court tomorrow and it's up to the judge.
If he credits them with time served -- government but -- it's but it's up to judgment they'll be in court tomorrow morning and get.
I don't -- -- generally.
-- this is for you were maybe for the head of the FBI that.
I don't know it's a joint task force or not but we had a story yesterday where a gentleman who was -- believe initially -- suspect in genetic -- his disappearance.
And a private investigator indicated to us that this gentleman said he had pointed authorities in the direction of aerial Castro back in like 2004.
Yet I don't know that.
Appropriate person responders but -- is that true and then what was done with that if it is true.
When addresses these.
Just this very quickly we have home on -- -- that same statement.
And with due diligence we've scrubbed our entire investigative file and have no reason to believe.
That he made the comments that he's purporting to the media.
So did do a drug just so I have it right -- it.
There was a conversation.
But you have no reason to believe that he made the statements to you that he he made to us is that correct.
It's part of this long term joint task force investigation he was interviewed at some point.
And that's -- that must be what he's referred to when he said that he told us that again we have no information to believe based on our investigative file.
But that's indeed correct.
Thank you very much.
Pamela brown was CNN.
It was mentioned earlier that the only opportunity to escape for the victims was on Monday when Amanda escapes.
Can you let us know what the circumstances -- that gave her the opening on Monday.
Well she explains some things in her statement that our our privilege that I can't I can't.
Disclose but for whatever reason.
I like I said the other day.
It's something most of clicked and she saw an opportunity.
And she took that opportunity and I said it the other day and I'll say it today that you -- she is the true.
Hero she's the one that that started this but as far as what -- circumstances were.
Inside that home and the control that he may have had over those girls.
We don't know that yet I think that's going to be take us a long time to to figure that out but this is the first time they attempted.
To escape that's cracked yes OK just quickly can you let us know how the alleged abductions happened -- years ago.
Can you provide any details now know I can at this time I'm sorry.
That's part that was part of our investigation.
Hi -- -- -- -- from USA today can you give us a general description of the conditions under which these women were living.
And well I'll save my second question for.
And if you if you wanted to a general description it was.
The house was in in disarray.
But without going into any.
You know -- any specifics I did not going to the home.
-- that was an active crime scene I did not enter the home so that is.
You know we have the a protocol about who -- at home what.
Just from what.
The guys were saying that it was it not quite a bit of -- disarray.
Can you tell me what you mean by disarray -- -- Well is that I guess everybody's definition of that would be different -- You don't so that's that's just an electrical part of our criminal investigation that I really don't want to go any farther into exactly.
What they founder what was in that home so.
Okay and then looking back over the years as you investigated.
-- women's disappearance.
Are there any.
Areas that she's seen it you think to yourself gosh that was a missed opportunity for example somebody's domestic violence incidents where.
His partner error wife for whatever she was asked for protection.
You don't I have you know been a part of this for quite a long time and no.
The investigators and you know the agents and everybody that worked on it and we've asked ourselves -- questions.
Numerous times over the last ten years.
Are we missing anything is -- something is Verisign is their an assignment errors -- something that we missed and I'm just very very.
In the ability of those investigators -- those -- -- not officers that they they checked every single lead.
And if there was one bit of evidence one shred of a tip.
No matter how -- knew it was.
They followed it up very very aggressively.
So I'd have to say.
Now in hindsight we may find out that maybe we did.
But that's going to be in hindsight now after this criminal case is completed -- keep.
Certainly tell -- about the young child who was rescued along with the man to bury was she -- -- that house is she aerial Castro's biological.
Child and where their other pregnancies among -- those women and gave the answer to that is no I definitely.
Can't tell you about her she's.
You know a minor I can't discuss -- You know her status at all.
-- -- a -- because it's a criminal investigation.
And out of respect for three young girls that were in that house I think -- information will come out eventually.
But it -- and come out here today or any of the other three impregnated and that's that's not gonna.
Come out here today that's part of our investigation we're not gonna discuss that.
-- chassis with the plain dealer.
-- you mention that that the women left the house twice in ten years what were the circumstances.
Those instances and also did the women know Castro threw his -- -- for their abduction.
Well I'll answer the second one.
Nothing that leads us to believe that they knew that there was knowledge between the two or friendship or that they knew each other.
And dom that was that -- stars and leaving the house twice.
When you get a chance to see where the house is situated in the garage is situated we were told that they left the house and went into the garage.
Solely those are the two times that were -- that were mentioned we're that they can recall so they never left the property now.
And there's no there's no connection between Castro.
And the girls free abduction -- what you're saying that there's no evidence that that's true now we we don't see -- right now and not you know that comes out later but no.
Not at all.
Thank you now.
This concludes -- media briefing.
We'd like to thank everyone for coming out there you and have a nice day.
