Of rotten tomatoes don't come off favorite movie reviewing website and so much -- but good to see if thanks thanks for irony great to have you as always in the big one this week the great -- the -- -- we would we talked about it briefly last week.
I'm really excited to see it.
But am I going to be happy.
I have bad news -- -- all The Great Gatsby is it isn't so great.
Really I'm sorry to say what what's wrong unfortunately.
Well you know it starts off with a -- now as you know this movie is directed by Baz Luhrmann who was well known for doing visual spectacles of movies.
He did a lot -- he directed Romeo and Juliette.
Which also starred Leonardo DiCaprio this movie starts out.
Really great you've got great party -- that happened it Gatsby house and everything you'd expect out of Baz Luhrmann movie it really turned that into a great spectacle.
But as the movie goes on is the movie starts to focus on the relationship between -- Played by Leo DiCaprio and -- played by Carey Mulligan we kind of slows down and not in a good way it fell.
Long it felt kind of boring and I I really felt every minute of this two and a half hours -- the critics don't really like it that much either they're kind of split.
The scores only about 43% right now -- which really -- the critics are split -- some people do like it that you think it works but a lot of them think.
That you know really when it gets into the is the drama that you're supposed to feel the movie is kind of lacking.
But everybody agrees that it looks -- and so you know when you're when you're looking for inspiration on how to -- I think you're still gonna do well here.
-- up and I'm always looking for inspiration on that on how to -- how we gonna get a lot of inspiration now on exactly how to do that eight in a moment but.
Let's get the the other release of of the week I -- Did -- -- say his name because it it's never good in connection with movies in -- in my humble opinion Tyler Perry.
And Tyler Perry has produced a movie called people's I didn't really arrested by opening.
With que -- yes it's directed by -- -- who directed a great Louis called drum line but unfortunately this movie's not quite up to snuff.
I'd start Craig Robinson is the guy who has crashed the family reunion.
His girlfriend -- a Finley is very uptight he's planning on proposing terror.
Hijinks ensued this movie I will tell you wasn't much fun here.
When it was called meet the parents.
Unfortunately it's not quite as good you've got a great -- here they're very talented.
But the movies just not as good for the critics aren't that happy with that it's only in the thirties on the tomato meter which is also rotten.
What I'd tell what about any new dvd releases this weekend if I just wanna sit on -- -- like I usually do and download something anything I should be looking out format.
You know the last couple weeks I would say you probably your best bet would be silver linings playbook which finally hit dvd right if you miss that that's a fantastic movie Oscar winning film lots of Oscar nominations.
That would be my recommendation.
All right good I what I did miss him so I will do that what about -- -- -- -- flirting with disaster early Ben Stiller movie from 1996.
Yes any good yes that's.
That's a good movie that's that's you know for people like Ben Stiller that's what his better movies and that's when I would definitely recommend.
All right that's a for anybody who's looking -- -- by the way is iTunes 99 cent movie.
Rental of the week so I will do that because I'm not only am I not a very good -- on my -- a very cheap.
