We tend to be entrenched in our community sort geographically separated based on when we left.
As a result it's very difficult to bill -- come riding.
That most of our military communities experience when living on a military installation.
And as a result it's a bit of a challenge for us to have that same support network.
More than 900 spouses were nominated this year you had to advance -- different rounds of voting and judges and panels.
Why do you think it -- you.
I seem to think shows me as -- 2013 armed forces insurance military spouse of the year.
Because of the attention that we place now on our National Guard troops.
That we are the ones who actually man the home front with a want to take care of home and in the recent tragedies such as.
The Boston tragedy.
It's -- came sandy we -- -- trust ones on the ground to make sure that our citizens -- taking care of well most of the attention has been placed to our fighting troops overseas.
The home front tends to not get the same recognition and I believe that was part of the reason why I was selected -- this year.
One of the things that you're going to be focusing on as an advocate now you've won this award is better spouse employment options and special needs resource is both great.
