-- another -- into this and we are learning new details about this year power.
Of the deadly tornado that hit Oklahoma on Monday this is dark.
-- from that afternoon.
Brand new stuff that we just got -- experts are saying that that was an EF five twister.
That devastated more it released much more energy than the atomic bomb that leveled Hiroshima.
Unbelievable to wrap your brain around the power of this tornado John Roberts is live on the ground as he has been -- out and Moore Oklahoma.
Good morning John.
-- -- Martha it's no surprise to hear that assessment either when you look at the scope of the devastation here -- In Moore Oklahoma the cars piled up behind me the buildings torn down the houses that have been leveled in the people's lives who have been absolutely changed.
I met one of those people yesterday -- spent some time with her and her husband Mike and James Moody.
She was right in the heart of it one of the worst hit areas when the tornado came through she was there with her three children her husband was at work.
She took some video she said you know what Oklahoma -- -- the street when you see a tornado coming.
That's what she realize that the twister was coming right for her.
Her children were already in there storm shelter she dove into it and then take a look at this video.
That she took immediately in the aftermath of the tornado.
-- -- -- -- -- I think it -- -- Yeah and.
What had been a lovely little neighborhood just twenty minutes before we subtly turned into something.
Out of the apocalypse and what's more right across the street from where Mike and James -- live was the plaza towers elementary school.
She immediately dropped everything didn't have any concern for herself or her current situation.
And you can imagine in the middle of a tornado that would be a difficult thing to do she ran across the street to the elementary school to do what -- she could.
Here's how she described that scene for.
Everybody screaming there's a wailing coming out of the school and everybody's running for the school.
And and I made my way through the -- a little bit and and some men were -- children out from underneath a car.
And there -- as adults and children underneath the car.
And I was handed wine and a -- -- -- I got a sweet Lil Rounds and -- little brown hair just -- her -- out here I shaking.
That we got her out and -- We can't -- all that.
Does everything have to step five -- that the mangled that metal and it did I just can't even describe it -- you.
You know she she put to that little girl on the ground the girl immediately collapsed and that's when -- realized that both of that little girl's legs.
Had been broken by that car -- on top of her.
And remember Martha seven little children died in that school on Monday.
You know and we don't we're just beginning you know there's one little girl that we've learned -- little bit about today John.
And we're just beginning to learn the stories of these children and they will be such a prominent part of this tragedy as we go forward.
And and I imagine that people there I mean are they even to the point yet John where they can start to think about the process of what comes next for them.
You know it's it's so soon after the tornado but I did ask Mike and and James about that yesterday.
I say what do what do you plan to -- -- to -- be applied to rebuild the -- James told me said we've we talked to the insurance adjuster yesterday.
Any insurance adjuster said do you want to rebuild or do you want to relocate.
And their minds right now are going to the idea of relocation they say there's just too much trauma there.
For their three children who went through that tornado in the shelter.
And too much -- it'll look across the street every day it will will most likely become the new plaza towers -- -- -- perhaps by another name.
And know that seven children died there -- so at the moment they're thinking about relocating not to a different state but just to -- -- else in this area.
This attempt bearable pain to think about that school and -- children John.
Thank you so much we'll see later.
