-- regular viewers now on an eight game I'm really proud of my daughter who serves in the United States navy I got tired just met -- young man who I think was just typing your own Huntsman -- his name is lieutenant -- -- out.
Former naval officer former navy seal at a man who has.
It'd battle on the front lines and is often now decided to devote a lot of his time for the -- -- -- -- And it's here in New -- giving a speech tomorrow night -- the -- Fallen heroes fund their weapons so thank you for your service from bank for and as plans are -- both I'm honored to be in your presence.
Let me ask you what is the intrepid fallen here from.
Tripped and fallen heroes fund is nonprofit organization based off the USS intrepid here in New York City.
And and they built -- in the past that built to order a two facilities one called the N national Travis kind of excellence and I called the Center for the Intrepid.
And -- the national -- the center of excellence is one I'd really like to focus on because it's it's its main focus is traumatic brain injury and post traumatic stress.
And it was opened into the idea came about 2007 from their first facility this Center for the Intrepid.
Which is focuses on.
Prosthetics and and now orthopedic injuries from battle but -- the guys that came through there had been hit by -- -- they found out it was we haven't we we see a link here between posttraumatic stress traumatic brain injury.
Let's start a organization.
A facility that focuses on that and so they don't want to raise the money built and we.
Read in the -- it something.
Percent returning warriors are suffering from some kind of post fanatics for us.
Trauma or injury you know things for -- I know that you've been in the field you've had issues for the yourself and what what -- -- story we're legend here.
Well you know it's kind of I use the analogy especially with with combat.
Being the way it has been the last few years ago if you throw a frog in a boiling hot water and -- jump right out.
But if you put the frog in cold water on the stove and turn -- -- -- we'll sit there until it oil.
And a lot of our troops are going through that right now with back to back combat deployments.
And I was no different I was in and -- -- naval academy in 2003 and I immediately.
Deployed to Iraq and in fact about appointments for the next.
Seven years eight years.
Yet know when you -- To back deployments in other words you're in you're in Afghanistan you -- in Iraq to come back.
And up back in the United States very year you turn right around going back and it depends it goes back and forth that.
And at the team here the rotation here on but.
Basically every eighteen point four months we were deployed between anywhere from two to eight months so it's kind of this it to its training.
Pre deployment post on this cycle -- -- on.
And it just happened -- you never know might have plans for -- Iraq Afghanistan.
And after I guess we got married had three children had sixty -- -- -- -- times and it's it's stressful on the family -- at one point we just finally said.
I started having some hugged I think they should recognize the start and you obviously are right high performance guy and Naval Academy field doesn't get -- -- Smarter after that.
What did you certain -- and -- Why I was so straight.
It was obscene art and artwork and -- Sunday and you know while there and I had a moment of clarity -- so I think I'm having some issues I couldn't pay attention -- couldn't read through my emails is.
And telling what was in the exact.
Active duty navy with them now you're just you're you're on the bullet train in this and it's when you're on the bullet train to fight to stay on the bullet train because once you Gadhafi and get back on.
And so a lot of guys especially in and special operations community you know and that's their life amendments you know being out there especially as an officer and and -- to.
Be around you know the people you're leading -- you wanna you wanna take care of them.
Be that guy -- you don't -- -- step off the line because they can't either.
And so it's I just had a moment right I surveillance and some issues and my wife said yeah you are having some issues and so we.
At that point Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund are that then the night you know and -- -- the center of excellence have just opened its stores.
And nobody really knew anything about it and so I researched it and I had.
A good friend who has a -- Who had gone to it and he just said hey.
This is why is still an active yes so no matter if you're not going to the navy sailor about issues and wanted to let them.
You're going outside the military and what went to the -- against I'm having these issues like you know.
Candidates are there other hour and a -- that I'm having some issues that just forgetfulness it's like the world was spinning around 1000 mile an hour and I couldn't keep up anymore.
And it was my friend would come under the center and I'd I'd ask for help from the navy doctors and LG said -- you're you're okay what was the event what's the specific -- why.
And no one can give me an answer and so I resigned and I was gonna walk away and it it really took.
Another a fellow seals and you need to look at an act of senator I think you MTV guy that in -- was and I think about point.
Nobody in our community it really sort of address that issue.
And -- rumors about where I live right -- 2011 -- -- governments and even 2011 would that work -- ten years.
And we were -- as unknown territory and dealing with mr.
Our community is where the atmosphere and so that's not that's I was against it we we -- with a look at that -- And he frankly don't want us.
Being focused on that you want us focused on the mission and so was you know what I get educated about what was happening to me.
I looked at the rest of communities is going to be huge problem we have that we have over mr.
-- -- we can you know.
Well Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund so they built one.
Make a senator -- -- the center of excellence national Internet traffic center of excellence you can go to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund website.

Yeah there's the web server -- the website right now -- it's a holistic integrated medical facilities first its kind in the US military that treats the problem not the symptom.
And it is an intensive month long program at 93 doctors' appointments itemize.
It's extremely bring your family and -- -- my wife -- router inside of -- and said hey this is what's happening to him which was a huge relief to his family because now.
Just me that we had something to deal with and it's something that we could mutually focus on and and and get through.
This really -- you having at AA recognized the problem and the right way to do about how is recognized that educates you and then get you on a path to success.
And so you can start healing because it's about an eighteen to 24 month program.
To get yourself back to where you need and are you gonna stay with this and this is your life mission.
