Well I've always had an interest in politics in the political process.
And the ability to represent the thirteenth district will be an incredible honor because that's where I was born and raised.
And I also think that at this point -- Republican party's history.
As -- trying to reach out to new voters I think I can both espouse conservative values and reach out to nontraditional voters who.
So some people will say what are the traits of being Miss America that you can carry through.
That would make you successful politician.
I think -- fundamental to being miss America service being able to serve the public and different communities and find ways to engage community groups.
And that's hopefully is are represented by be able to identify issues that were of great priority in importance the district.
And then mobilize people within the community to address those needs and you say in your district it's an agricultural district.
It's also a district of a lot of colleges and universities but the economy is at the forefront still right.
Absolutely especially for those college students.
They're gonna graduate with great degrees and the job market is not expanding as quickly as we would want it to.
And -- things like less regulation and lower taxation.
Enabling businesses to be able to expand that's gonna serve the -- of college students and how important do you think it is to be an African American woman.
Who's running for this seats in trying to get not only the African American vote.
To show them the conservative side of things but also the youthful.
I think there right now there tends to be your stereotype of what it means to be a Republican and I know that when people look at me I don't necessarily fit that stereotype.
And so I think that for people whose whose share conservative values still look at someone like me and say well she has conservative values as well.
And she's not what I would imagine to be Republican may -- -- what she has to say because may be the Republican Party can be a welcome please for me as well.
