And I as we told you in the talking points memo ideology is confused.
By the current controversies in Washington especially this snooping stuff.
Dries -- nation's capital senator Marco Rubio from Florida.
Senate -- -- rapid fire we -- -- night and then we'll talk about the immigration bill at the end okay.
First of all do you know always the NSA is taking emails and storing them do you know.
Well for so we further public comments in that regard and I think it's important get into that setting -- -- they tell us more about the programs.
Let me just say this I think there is information out there that's been -- I've read in the press that I know is not accurate not necessarily in regards to this issue.
But in general and I do think there's information they can declassify that would allow the American people have a little bit more confidence in how these important programs around.
All right -- you don't know yet.
And tomorrow you may -- driving committee that you -- and you don't know whether -- taken emails grab taken and stored them in -- whatever you don't know yeah I've heard -- that said publicly that and more just the death with a god save us they do dance they don't say for sure we didn't do it.
They all eyes upon my and I we wouldn't break -- blah blah -- -- would you support.
Would you support.
Taking emails from Americans here and storing them.
Well again I think that's an important part of the I'm sorry that the important question is -- these programs being coordinated.
The answers generally absolutely not -- mean no one wants to be in a position where the government decides.
Commented on the Bill O'Reilly -- -- I'm curious to see what he's doing.
And I and I and I hope that that's not the -- you would simply went down and I and I certainly don't support that.
Do you support the bundling -- -- phone call -- not listening.
Just so that and storing it somewhere today that they pick up a hot number of a terrorist they can cross it and see if -- terrorists do anybody -- USA well.
Again bill without program as far as that's concerned there's information out there that -- that does not -- a full picture.
About these programs are conducted and -- they would declassify some of that information I think it would be give people a lot more comfort over how those programs are ultimately utilized.
But this is a tough issue on the one hand we have these programs that we know are effective backtracking when terrorists are communicating the people in this country.
On the other hand people have a privacy expectations.
At least that they feel like they do and they don't want to see that violated a -- by this or future government.
That's a very difficult balancing act but my hope was though declassify some of this information -- on a lot of -- -- a lot of pressure to -- -- On the IRS scandal do you think the FBI's gonna make.
Criminal arrests in that case.
I don't know I think there needs to be a Fuller investigation and a bully and a guy's -- it.
There I don't know yeah but understand the Justice Department oversees that and I'm not sure the Justice Department is in a position to do that and it and then in.
And then they would always say is that holder would corrupt the FBI the FBI has always been independent in this country.
-- but again the Justice Department holds great sway over obviously.
These investigations are conducted and I just think it's important not generally reluctant to call for independent counsel on issues because I think that can also.
Be misused but in this case when it gets so close now to to what's happening here in Washington.
I think there's merit -- that and I and I I.
I'm I'm not -- merging the FBI and to do a great job.
But we can't forget at the end of the -- that the that the Justice Department because it's a political appointment is politicized to some extent.
He loved one -- resign you call for his -- I do.
I'll tell you -- I did I did a year ago I did a year ago and fast and furious I have even less confidence in his ability to do the job now.
And in particular when it comes to -- IRS investigation aren't.
Now this week the propose new immigration law is going to be taken up for debate in the senate that's been approved.
Are you optimistic this is going to pass you wanted to pass in some in some form.
Are you optimistic that's gonna happen this year well I think it depends on border security and it depends on ensuring that it doesn't cost the American taxpayer.
I think the bottom line is that we can secure the border and ensure that this never happens again and -- we can ensure that it doesn't cost the American taxpayer by people going on welfare and things like that.
And I think it'll -- you gotta have no hello here bill the bill's gotta say they don't get government assistance if it does how does that there's ways.
Yet it does and -- -- -- already but there are ways to -- that even further we've identified ways to make it even tighter and we've offered amendments in that regard and on the border security part of it.
People have to know that this is never gonna happen again.
The border will finally be secured for national security.
-- I don't know who's gonna the -- oppose that but -- anybody just tell me.
Now let anyone know soon enough Leahy from Vermont he wants gays gay illegal aliens to -- in there they're gay friends or.
Partners or whatever and he's trying to get that -- on immigration bill -- that gonna happen.
That's what if that happens the -- is that it certainly won't have my support I've been very clear on that I respect people's views on the issue.
But that is not and this is already tough enough as it is to inject something as -- -- that if that gets on the bill the -- and die there's no doubt about it.
A case that I -- should -- and -- that a guy coming -- and end up please let us know.
-- breaking news tomorrow when you hear the NSA -- to.
