Kennedy as the civil war rages had a controlled Syria the president as announced that he will provide military support to the rebels.
We're trying to Al Syrian president Assad now this move by the Obama administration is raising serious concern.
For -- we're now learning that thousands of the rebels are now part of the Al -- disrupt terrorist group which we all -- is linked to al-Qaeda and according to a top analysts.
The affiliate in Syria is now the most powerful arm of the terror group that is in existence today.
Now why is a story -- port number one if these al-Qaeda linked militants overthrow the Asad regime.
Does that mean that the US essentially handed an entire country in the Middle East over to terrorists.
Number two what -- these weapons are used against the US and our allies Israel down the -- number three.
It's become -- more more obvious that Syria's been lost and arming al-Qaeda.
There's not a viable option joining us now the author of a brand new book why John Roberts was wrong about health care member of the armed services committee.
Popular conservative -- -- senator Mike.
Police are hurry up.
Doing great thank you show.
Is this a good idea or -- -- well you know we got some understandable concerns about the fact that we don't want US weapons and US military resource is used against us and use against our allies.
And there are a lot of questions that have to be asked and answered.
Before -- should even be considering this.
I mean look what we've got a lot of opposition there we've got the Russian saying that they cannot will not tolerate a no fly zone.
In Syria and yet that's where a lot of the discussions are going.
How we've got our -- that it is believed to be in the process of sending 4000 pairs of boots.
To this region this could become.
Our regional or global conflict very quickly and we've got to ask a lot of questions and get a lot of those questions answered before we can proceed.
Yeah well it's a humanitarian disaster of ending up four million people displaced -- a 100000 people that have been killed in the process here I guess the question now is.
A week all week making a mistake.
You sure we wanna -- out.
But who takes over if he goes what would be you know another radical Islamist state in the in the Middle East.
That's exactly my concern exactly what I'm saying we don't know who would take over there's no question that a sounds a bad guy and that we would rather.
Not have him there would rather not have anyone like him in power anywhere in the world.
But who's going to replace it.
And I don't know that we've adequately vetted these groups that are part of they rebel opposition forces.
To know who would take over and whether or not they'd be friendly at all to the United States.
War to war allies in the event that they proved victorious at the end of the day.
Is there anything that you hear that the president is is proposing here that actually will have an impact on the outcome of this or is he just so like.
It's dipping its toe in the water to act like -- concern.
Well be nice first of all to be hearing from the president personally and not from people.
Working several rungs down him on the latter.
-- also be nice to have this debated and discussed in congress where it should be going look if we actually are going to have military involvement in Syria.
There needs to be an act of congress authorizing -- But unlike the kind of quasi noticed that congress was given.
When we went to Libya where it was sort of a drive by after the fact notification of four members of congress.
We need to have legislation by congress authorizing this.
And in order for that to happen the president needs to exercise some leadership leadership which has been noticeably absent to this point.
It seems that the outside influences.
-- -- between Russia and Iran and and Hezbollah and all these other groups are helping them that seems like they're all it.
And it it seems like America -- we gonna end up with a same outcome as we had any chipped.
That I I think we could have similar outcome there and in some respects I think it could be much much worse.
I mean look -- Assad has a lot of things behind him.
That we didn't face that we haven't faced in other parts of the world and that ought to be cause for great concern.
And we've got various groups that have pledged loyalty to al-Qaeda that are part of this or resistance movement.
Are these people going to be receiving US weaponry are they going to be receiving other forms of US military assistance.
These are questions that have got to be answered and to my knowledge they haven't done.
All right senator my glee it's interesting to watch the criticism coming your way Ted -- -- way Rand Paul's way rubio is way.
I think they don't like this new conservative.
