-- special edition of Hannity you know a few months ago we invited an entire audience made up of distinguished African American conservatives.
Talk about some of the most important and controversial issues regarding race in our society.
Now especially since we have seen time and time again if you're African American and you're conservative you're vilify -- demonize.
Now tonight due to the overwhelming response that we received about the program.
We decided it was important to do a second shot so for the next hour I'll be joined once again by another group of renowned.
African American conservatives and before I turn to the floor and then turn it over to them there are few statistics that I believe are reporting a highlight a first.
Democrats like to perpetuate the lie that they are the party of minorities and to their point in the last election the presidential election.
-- or Fox News exit polls 93%.
Of African Americans voted for Barack Obama only 6% voted for governor Mitt Romney.
But my question is why we'll take a look at some of the statistics.
Now back when Barack Obama became president in January 2009.
The unemployment rate among African Americans was a startling twelve point 7% but guess what.
Fast forward four years that number is even worse the current unemployment rate of this group is now thirteen point 5%.
Now unfortunately those aren't the only startling statistics when it comes to those for example who need.
Food stamp assistance in 2009 over seven million African Americans participated in the program.
Now according to the most recent information that we have this number has now risen over ten million.
And that's not all in 2009.
Over nine million African Americans -- listed as living in poverty.
He shouldn't come as a shock today that number is worse according to latest data over ten million -- now listed in that category.
So my question is this clearly president Obama's policies are not working or helping African Americans.
So why wouldn't they want to see what at least conservatives have to offer.
And joining me now to help answer this question a distinguished group of African American conservatives.
Give yourself a big hand ultimately.
-- -- -- I got in trouble for saying African American -- you're just -- -- why you why are you why is -- the wrong term.
You'll all agree that's what would make survey is that the wrong term.
Heads -- -- long term it shot how many right turn -- right term.
Much dealing with African American vs black had a conversation with James -- Johnson he said he took him -- to get from -- to -- -- the bottom line.
Harvey knows no color and the fact that -- is liberals utilized.
And -- gen Dan actually exploits that I -- Andre I don't and I I understand intellectually that's the right argument.
Language however matters and when you hyphen -- yourselves as Americans when you don't focus on the fact that were people were human.
The left uses the -- for the nation to separate you.
And if nothing else fight back at the language itself and take it for what it really is intellectually to -- -- Grow up to me about it is that Jesse Jackson is one that a -- us that we would henceforth be African Americans.
He moved us from black and so that's flat -- rejected it.
You're a great cause I look forward to the time and -- and whether it's black American or African American we completely get away from hyphenated Americans.
If we're going to be where American spirit of we're gonna make the transition away we need to and see America's.
In my opinion come to his revolution of our constitutional balance and -- together as a country movement forward we have the start seeing ourselves as Americans don't go to rents and -- Black French or Italian and Steve Brown -- point we are American about African American -- -- good it's really self segregate its self segregation when we hear this term you know when you're African American away where Africans but.
Let's -- Americans at a certain time where Americans like everyone else I really reject Jesse Jackson self segregation -- I -- -- Using -- last tactics and we should reject that every opportunity the left.
That's people in boxes the left and the war on women want to -- -- its identity politics I refuse to be placed in their box I've never been in their box.
I've never been to Africa.
I'm black it's okay if you -- African American or anyone want to be African American I'm finally back to but I refuse to allow someone who has a charlatan like.
Jesse Jackson to define who I am.
-- there's an important point here about the culture and it's America not just blocks.
Anyone can become an American -- come into this country going through the process.
For any country in the world.
It's unique about this country.
You can keep your tally your Irish every heritage where conflict and -- -- that -- and yes I am.
Because I have Irish and my fitness like that but my point is you could become an American.
Anyone anywhere in the world for any country can -- common American.
Why do we self segregate used to Roy's words let's focus on the -- God I'm not any that I did not make -- OK god gave us up to agency and -- I -- why -- black Hispanic I don't care.
That isn't what we need to -- it's so much black American.
I don't think I'm black and I'm proud I would -- -- house with James Brown salt.
Would be and not -- I don't care and that and that I want colonel I.
I lost all control the show this was not the topic but what we have that but this is important as.
-- that we have spent the last couple of minutes talking about Cutler.
We we have high unemployment rate.
-- we have more black men imprisoned today to win the -- we do at college education but and we -- job.
But yet -- -- -- those statistics the majority of that still -- up president does not represent our concern right.
-- -- know and I got a question why.
Why -- right now.
We as Republicans have not put forth -- urban agenda to counter what the Democrats and President Obama has -- Not one time when we look at high unemployment when the president introduce his nominee for secretary labor.
He talked about disability he talked about LB GT community.
Not one time in that five minute speech -- mr.
currency he talk about anything about the African American or black community in unemployment.
Yes outback there and then -- yeah.
-- -- Thing my mom's 86 years -- Somebody walked up to her and say -- -- to dean or from yeah I'm from Long Island new -- and you don't know do you look at you from.
-- I think that America so I mean.
That's the way that they're trying to shove it down their side.
But if we can say it gets -- -- where Americans I mean I served.
I served in the military we -- black and white in -- all right well we will avoid military we were -- united states military.
We diet weight we we we protected each other.
We want to each other's back whether we're black white yellow -- we want to that that's what -- -- -- it.
Also a spiritual component of this as a lot this -- I I'm a Christian and I believe god created every human being with talent and ability.
And and unfortunately the way society is now a lot of our kids all races are falling behind.
And these statistics -- scare everybody because the unemployment rate for black teenagers in this country right now is 50%.
Those kids are -- going to be on the street they're not gonna be out working and developing the skills they need to get ahead.
Later lights on the final point that was made about -- rapid response when they plate race.
The president just made a declaration that we should do away with Christian and -- Catholic education because these are -- this.
And yet one of the primary reasons that we have such high unemployment rate in the black communities because these young people are not getting quality education and what we see from the left.
The president on down.
NAACP its fight against any type of school choice movement in this country where.
People are begging parents are begging to be -- -- -- children.
Took Christian and Catholic -- it that way and -- and he went twelve month he went to a Muslim school in Jakarta.
Well yes I got one question we go to break and then I promise we have we have a -- shots that they wrap it -- which -- -- -- Despite I -- excuse me I don't know I.
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- But what we should be able to choose.
Regardless of color in -- that we recognize it was -- for what it is.
We should be able to choose our future we have opportunity in this country and that's what does the promise of America and you don't -- your birth.
You choose your future at the right to pursue it.
-- I have a question show of hands how many in this audience think that.
The president's agenda -- he got 93%.
Of the black vote in the last election.
How many -- you think his policies.
Have hurt Black America.
All of America all Americans but options specifically we're dealing with -- -- okay.
