Hi everybody I'm airborne welcome to cash in and are -- -- this week Wayne Rogers Jonathan Hoenig and Monica Crowley also joining us this week.
Crist endorsing thanks everyone welcome everybody they say timing is everything so what better time for the White House to drop the news it's putting off a major deadline.
On those health care law penalties -- what better time to push the deadline until after the mid term elections next year Monica he's -- timing.
There's no -- -- about the time.
No and it's certainly not a coincidence right this thing is actually dropping faster than the Titanic you had -- cold open.
They understand the White House understands you've got top Democrats who actually wrote this monstrosity like Max Baucus and Jay Rockefeller.
Saying that this thing is train wreck it's so complex is to be incomprehensible.
They know this thing is totally unworkable and now -- hearing for businesses this is what we have been talking about for four plus years now.
Businesses are cutting hours they're laying off workers they're higher taxes coming higher premiums are already in place.
And none of this is ready to go to state exchanges are ready to go.
So all of this is collapsing BB underneath its own weight and absurdity.
And so they realize now the big put off the real horrors and so they decide to put it -- -- -- until after the mid term election.
We'll get to the politician in a minute John can stay on the business end to this.
I gotta think.
If it's not if it's bad for people whom -- businesses with more than fifty employees make it's bad for businesses with under fifty maybe it's bad for regular Americans as well.
Well -- it's bad for businesses it's also terrible for workers in fact that's why.
Businesses big and small to -- -- point have been warning about the effects of obamacare warning of the cost.
That's her workers whether it's Wal-Mart Darden Restaurants Regal Entertainment and he's got tons of companies that have already either cut hours or -- employees and in fact a recent survey.
From Gallup showed that 41% of small businesses say they -- having -- hiring freeze altogether so this is helps no one but.
Power hungry politicians in DC.
And it's it's failing by design centralized planning and government -- it's no wonder as baucus has said -- a train wreck.
Right in when you don't seem surprised.
But no I think they'll.
I don't know why everybody statement all of a sudden -- that point.
Don't -- this is old those guys I mean we don't know -- -- -- dumb idea we know -- but the thought you got 2200.
Pages of garbage.
It stacks up to be you don't -- -- eight feet high.
There's 20000 pages of regulations.
You know this was not dumb ought to start with that never should have been -- -- but.
For example for the go past the Supreme Court which is sheer idiocy.
Did that John Roberts read or write an opinion.
It called it that tax because he couldn't figure out any other way to get it through -- the whole thing as it's a bad idea they should start all part Wayne.
But not when I'm -- -- -- Dorsey did they'd -- basically saying we need time businesses need time.
So to try to get their books in order for this are you kidding me.
They push this thing through they rushed it through overnight they got it mandated they pushed it through the through the Supreme Court and all the sudden they need more time.
Well -- America you know first of all -- little perspective here this so called employer mandate applies to fewer than 1% of all other firms in the country that collectively collectively -- about a million people so this is not about.
The impact on all businesses this is about a very small sliver.
Who have been complaining since day one about the regulatory burden of compliance in the administration -- said you know what.
Won't make it simpler for you will yield to you yet again because you complain.
Yet again this doesn't speak to the broader issue of Health Care Reform or businesses in general.
-- at nobody ever catches the got -- I think speaks to prevent it actually speaks to tremendous unfairness and the president always talks about fairness and essentially once again you have Obama's -- Animal farm work certain favored constituencies.
-- one type of treatment and in this case.
Individuals many what you see the premiums rise 300% as a result of obamacare get the shaft minorities have rights too you know hang on guys going in my viewing jump in and.
No I was just gonna add to Jonathan's point that so many unions got waivers from the whole thing congress tried to exempt itself and and when word got out on not all hell broke loose and now they're subjected to obamacare tip.
Look I just want to say that you know the Democrats pushes through on a political agenda an ideological agenda socialize medicine.
Part of there -- -- it was we need to do this really fast because it's going to save lives well okay they've had three years to implement this thing since the passage of the bill.
None -- it is ready and -- member of the ultimate objective is to get everybody off.
Private health insurance and individual health insurance and -- a single Payer system.
That's why we're starting to see the collapse of all of this this is all by design.
Kristin what a -- timing of -- I think of this sounds yeah just so political to me we're gonna wait until 2015 what happens in 2014.
Mid term elections what do the Democrats deathly afraid up.
Running against Republicans have the Republicans remind everyone that this big behemoth Titanic sinking Titanic obamacare was their idea.
I agree with you about the motives I don't agree with you about the overall -- him but I think you're absolutely right -- Obama doesn't want this to be a referendum on Health Care Reform in the mid term elections he doesn't want to see ads.
Talking about the 21 pages of regulatory questionnaires that businesses.
Have to fill out he wants take that off the table this is purely about politics that has nothing to do with economics right so I agree with -- -- OK so Wayne if if if if it's so bad to run against than a mid term election.
Maybe it's just not a good idea in general.
Well it's not a good idea -- got me that's what I said we know that its -- picked although we've.
We've had three years of this it was picked over in the first place we all know that we know that there all of these regulations that cannot be complied with that account -- to each other.
And that it cost money we know that they even the most bronze plan that they talk about the cheapest plan at all.
Is gonna cost about a person at least 5000 box and then you go to the silver and ultimately of the platinum plant would -- -- More outrageous and cost there is no way that this law makes any sense on any level and I got a guy can't face it startling.
And Clinton to Christians point it's not even -- -- administration that's running from its own signature health care bill it.
If in fact it's doctors who are running for the practice of medicine a recent survey 83% of doctors say they're considering leaving the practice of medicine.
You can keep your health care but believe me there's going to be far fewer people around to actually administer it.
Under a bind -- and well well well John a good job opened your ride them some who have already left if you re if you read some of the people already -- -- -- it.
Right you know -- -- I'm going to ask you this last week we talked about.
Young people young people may opted to take the penalty because the penalty is cheaper than going on obamacare if they don't get young people signed up.
This thing will fall apart get faster even faster than.
And and before you answer that don't forget that the IRS is going to be the agency enforcing the individual mandate which as far as we know right now still stands right.
-- counseling right about the economics of -- you've got to have masses of young people participating in obamacare in order to make the whole thing work.
Nursing number one I'm gonna go wet without health insurance or number two I'm just gonna take that hit.
On the fine and for this -- again the whole thing implant.
I'm very quickly Chris and I don't know I -- -- particularly well I know what they're going I -- an advertising I've got the solutions all of us and I think maybe you all would agree with me to make it less complex less.
Difficult for people understand why don't we have a single Payer system that's efficient.
They are there you know that there yeah there stiff right that the ultimate -- this team at least we know what they want they want government didn't fit.
To administer all your help -- make all your decisions for you are gonna have to leave it there.
