Well couple reactions one is just honoring.
Being moved by their struggle and then you know as a psychiatrist I know that challenges can still come up.
Right there can still be the nightmares the depression.
The trouble establishing relationships so their bravery doesn't mean that there won't be tremendous pain to confront in the future but they do seem.
To be game for that.
Yeah you know some of the reports that came out after this Michelle night but we heard from at the end there.
Suffered according to the reports beatings.
Through those beatings she helped deliver the child -- Amanda Barry brought into the world just horrific horrific stuff.
And you know it appears that her speeches is somewhat stilted.
Along those lines do you use do you think that you know it in terms of of that and what's evident what do you make of it factor.
All of these women of course they're reading from prepared statements you might.
See more of their struggles were you able to ask them direct questions -- a lot of my work Martha is about.
Saying to people listen no I am I understand you getting through it.
But tell me the other side tell me the times when you think you won't get through what are those like.
And you know I know these -- wanna come -- they want to inspire others and they are.
But people should remember they've been through a kind of.
Hell and that's tough going for a long time and Michelle -- talked a lot about her faith and god and she's so brave when you listen to.
-- say that you know I'm not gonna let this define me.
I am you know walking with got by my side how much have you seen in your work that that having that -- how helpful is that to recovery.
Well you know that you'll have a lot of psychiatrist talking about the usefulness of prozac and I don't deny that.
But what she's describing is the heart and soul of recovery and it's really what makes my work so.
Miraculous and such a privilege to be part of if people can remember.
That there can be a plan for them even through struggle even through darkness and look.
For the bread crumbs to follow their -- as if it's intended for them which I happen to believe.
Then miracles can happen and when somebody says I've been through a decade of captivity have been beaten.
I've been -- all these things have happened to me but I think my guiding forces to help other people who don't have freedom.
That's really an example that people can follow that even in these darkest moments you can find -- light at the end of the very.
Long tunnels as you very survives these seasons you don't have that city is truly inspiring.
One last question on Amanda -- she was the one whose voice we heard at the beginning of this she led the break out.
How much does that she seems very spunky very able.
How much is it help her that she did force her way out that door.
It's it's you can't underestimate that that's an event first of all they can resonate for her and for other people and listen.
Her parents everybody who knew her friends.
They should all be proud because something happened in this woman's life.
Much earlier than her captivity that led hurt and never give up.
Don't always look for freedom and -- that powerful in one another's lives as parents Brothers sisters friends we can do that for each other.
