Swing for hours and big news on Egypt when it comes in the bottom line which is still imported for that country given the state of their economy.
What we've seen is wealthy wealthy gulf states sending billions of dollars in aid to.
And so weekend and those who they perceive.
As their enemy is ambassador John Bolton is former US ambassador -- UN and a Fox News contributors are gonna have a little fun with the Mac today ambassador.
As -- sure viewers a little bit about.
Where this money is coming from Saudi Arabia this was announced during our show yesterday sitting about five billion dollars to eject.
Over the last 34 hours.
And when you look at the UAE also over here -- on the side with the saudis bringing about three billion dollars in money in oil and also some sort of debt forgiveness as well.
What do you make it these two big players jumping in now in how much of that game changer is that money.
Well it -- it's not really big money given that complete morass that Mohamed Morsi allowed Egypt's economy to become.
But the gulf states I think are gonna pull together that just this morning I believe Kuwait chip then another four billion and I'm sure more will be coming because.
These monarch -- these oil producing states.
See the Muslim Brotherhood as a potential threat to the stability of their regimes they would like to see.
Egypt brought back into a stable situation.
So -- they're prepared to help.
Even though other states in the region gutter bang than.
Have actually been aiding the Muslim Brotherhood but but the wealth of the oil producing states by and large will be behind the Egyptian military's second -- Yes I think it is especially until we work out the statutory problem that we yet we have with providing aid to Egypt.
I think it's clear that one of the reasons the demonstrators went in the streets against the Morsi government.
Was that he was prioritizing.
Trying to create and islamists the state.
-- and watching the economy -- and that wasn't the priority of most of the people in Egypt.
So to try and get the economy back on track and get stability -- things like tourism can resume.
That has to be a high priority for the interim government and for its supporters like the saudis and others.
Agency -- -- the ambassador that my hundred -- wasn't alone.
The country at cutter right here just this little countries off of the area where we have our largest military base.
And the Middle East is sending a lot of money to eject off so they sent a lot of money to Siri -- Which is way out here and supplying some is the Islamic militants -- and controversial as we watch this money.
Really move around the region other two areas are watching ambassador if Iran over here.
And we can't forget that Libya.
Is right next to Egypt and we've talked about ambassador just the rise of an Islamic state in northern Africa overall -- many -- not only the money flows.
But off the some of the big players.
What do you think -- it means for the region.
Well it's absolutely critical as the most populous Arab state 7080 million people.
It with the Suez Canal running through the country with the Camp David peace accords with Israel being a cornerstone of US policy.
For decades for peace in the Middle East.
If Egypt comes unstuck it.
Would simply accelerate that problems the region is experiencing throughout.
And and lead to massive.
Instability so that's why the monarchies or at least most of the monarch -- of the gulf region or try to provide some assistance to get that stability and there.
And it's honestly why the American interest here lies with.
The military effort to stop Mohamed Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood is creeping coup.
Against the secular constitution.
You know the Suez Canal just our viewers know is right here selling -- -- for any of the goods that are really flowing from Europe.
To this area but off this so important for the flow of oil and oil prices as well.
For us ambassador even though we've seen that changing.
Has the money stocks you know when you look at what's happening with cutter for example are they still flowing money into the Muslim Brotherhood right now.
I ask because people are raising that question of whether or not we're seeing the beginning of -- civil war and money would be -- that.
Well you know there's just better regime change in god -- -- the long serving a -- has stepped down he's handed over to his son the crown prince the prime minister of foreign ministers also used to be the head of the gutter investment authority where a lot of that money stored.
Also stepped down so it's not clear that the new government -- is necessarily.
Going to pursue the same policies as the old one.
But I think this is why really American leadership is required in the region as a whole we've got enormous interest at stake.
We've got enormous problems we barely touched on Iran you certainly mentioned it but it's been fishing in troubled borders for years supporting terrorists like Hezbollah -- Hamas.
Building a nuclear weapons program.
And the absence of America I think really is having a very detrimental effect to stability in the region worldwide what world -- Region wide.
Where each of these individual national crises could could become a morass throughout the entire region.
Does not just about money is bad influence it and that's what -- are focusing on today ambassador always enjoy our conversation thank you so much.
Thank you --
