Mushrooming budget have lawmakers on both of looking for ways to get a deal done that -- men standing and -- with the nation's debt.
House and senate have both passed separate fiscal plans but remain far apart on working out a lasting deal.
Joining us now Republican senator Mike Lee who says he's not going to vote any budget deal.
That includes funding for -- -- welcome great to have you here in the studio thank you.
You're not going to vote for any type appropriations bill that includes obamacare funding at this time.
Because you believe it's fundamentally unfair to do this at a time when you grant exemptions for a year for small businesses and not for individuals across country.
That's right the president has told us he's not going to enforce the law against employers those importers who have lobbyists and who can gain access the White House.
Meanwhile are working Americans individuals families will be on the hope you'll be penalized and -- they comply with this laws exacting demands.
So what I'm saying is the president's telling us he's not gonna implement the law completely because he's not ready because it's too complicated he can't.
If that's the case it keeps -- he's not gonna follow the law the American people shouldn't fund.
And so that's what I intend to do is follow that commitment from the American people don't fund it especially because he's not ready to -- -- -- questioning why tie.
The funding for Obama care two -- appropriations match.
It's the one power that congress still has and very jealously guards is the power of the purse.
And so in order to fund something you have to go for announcing have to go through the senate and what that means our current congress is your net that are brought lot of Republican votes.
Republicans and now some Democrats are recognizing that this -- got some serious problems it's certainly not ready to be implemented.
Those of us who belief that need to put our money where our mouth is and say we're not gonna fund.
What do you think it is the reason really behind delaying.
The implementation of Obama care for small business this time.
You know it's difficult to say the White House didn't offer much by way of explanation but the senate would argue.
That this has a lot to do with partisan political considerations.
Going into the 2014 election cycle the president understood that companies and workers alike were concerned about what the employer mandate was -- -- do the job market.
And perhaps that played a role.
In any event -- the law doesn't give him this authority the authority that he exercised the authority that he just hook.
This is legislative power that he tried to exercise justice of the Supreme Court re wrote.
Obamacare twice last year.
Which is why I wrote a book about it -- what John Roberts was wrong about health care the president has all the supreme court's lead and he's now amended obamacare not just once but twice.
That's wrong it was wrong for the court to do what is wrong for the president to do it in congress shouldn't fund him in that effort.
This is only way you feel you can hold him accountable for what he's done it's the only way we can't hold them accountable this is our last stop.
The continuing resolution which expire September 30 we'll have to be replaced.
This continuing resolution debate is the last stop before obamacare kicks in in full force January 1 -- fourteen.
So -- you're against obamacare you've got to be against funding for obamacare.
And behind all this backed up so many people are saying the implementation of this is -- convoluted.
It's so hard for people who really understand how this is supposed to be put into place at a time winners of these businesses are struggling to stay afloat.
Businesses are struggling to stay stay afloat and importantly.
-- remember what we heard from the Teamsters and from two other -- unions this week.
If they who backed the law are now saying look this is a problem with got broken promises from the White House.
They said would be able to keep our own doctor if we -- would be able to keep our health insurance plan if we want it.
The administration's backing away from that because the law makes that impossible.
-- so this is no longer simply a Republican issue or conservative issue this is an American issue.
And those who -- concerned about Obama cares implementation those who understand as the president has now conceded.
That this was not ready to be implemented should demand that their members of congress in the house and in the senate should refuse to vote for any continuing resolution.
Or other appropriations measure that funds obamacare really clippings in the GOP is gonna hold firm and hopefully get more Democrats on board.
The GOP must hold firm because the GOP is now control the house represented since the 2010 election.
The GOP controlled house has continued to.
Authorize funding and continuing resolutions for obamacare there were reasons for that pick up the Supreme Court might take care of -- thought we might win the presidential election that hasn't happened this is our last stop.
This is our last opportunity to stop obamacare and -- pleasure thanks for joining us today thank you appreciate it.
