Plays and we start off in New York Eric -- volleys what is before of course you see them on the -- -- as well.
I did talk about the Internet and how free communication is it.
Over and did it was ever really truly free Eric joins us live in New York Eric.
You but I'm also what they're real yeah Albert bomb on Twitter Eric thanks for joining us from New York.
-- -- Any time I so you know I think there's a lot of ways you can go with this bomb -- -- -- ever -- thing I think is the best way to kind of start things off I mean this is.
I think people homeless don't really understand the connection necessarily to why this is a -- case whether there for what he's done against what he's done it again have no idea well really.
-- I I yeah I think you're absolutely right I don't think that people at home understand I think some people dale.
The issue of invasion of privacy is now coming to the forefront the irony of the issue is is that the mainstream media isn't covering -- -- what the mainstream -- curry is where it -- not -- let's just left the airport a few hours ago boy you know.
Now we have a story for another day or two what people -- talking about.
Is the information that he's revealed that now all of us not everybody -- not given up being work and you know for the CIA or the Pentagon of the White House everybody knows what Edwards Snowdon has pulled us and that but he's told us is that.
The government knows a lot about us if you if if you are on the Internet -- incentives for so many years and you type it on your keyboard.
Watts that could it be that you are starting to develop a pattern that will tell everybody who wants to watch things about you know.
It gave me a good point because it's not just the government but corporations -- -- You always hear about people black bashing corporations do they know too much about as they follow is too much thing.
They know our every move -- every army decision basically special and now -- technology with computers and and laptops in.
Tablets and phones and Smartphones that they they know too much about a still really -- a look at it corporations may know less about his then what our own government knows well.
You know did many corporations -- -- FaceBook.
They mean they they've given willingly given information to the US government so that the US government can.
Track all sorts of things I mean Google -- -- -- you you opt in for all of these invasion of privacy -- mean you know I put my pictures on FaceBook there for everybody forever.
I can take them back off of FaceBook if I want but they're out there about everything that I've ever said I -- -- -- set on the -- you cannot take it back.
Once it's out there and we actually opt in for much of -- you know much of this and corporations yeah they try to sell us stuff and they take advantage of you know our patterns and what we're interested in -- -- Google now.
Which you can only get I think if you have any android -- it's in beta but Google now will basically tell you things before you even think of them based on.
-- you know complete history from the time you get up in the morning to whatever news you're watching.
Ed to how you get to work by train by car to what highway to where the traffic is to -- -- meetings are.
-- you know it's very it's it's kind of frightening.
It is fighting it and I think that people home should care because of this.
-- you're being monitored everything you do as one of my friends told me who is in -- high tech agency in the government.
Basically from the time you get up and you turn you -- before you get up your phones for example my phones and it's a -- for later -- -- the Blackberry my tablets.
They all connect with the outside world what are you using them or not right and it tells you pattern so when you're moving a -- -- or even use my phone is just it's turned off and it's in my car in my room charging.
And I care with me to my car again it's still off.
And I drive to work and it's still -- I forget to turn it on they have a record of the times of where I have gone.
And what's even more amazing to me is if I took the battery on this Blackberry for example to the battery -- was just a shell.
They can still monitor with -- with a camera.
And the audio they can get the microphone up to sink even when the batteries detached from the unit so I mean this isn't this just goes above and beyond really well I think most Americans even honest.
-- yet doesn't pick goes above and beyond your absolutely correct I mean people don't they don't realize this I mean you have.
Basically walk around your Smartphone -- what you may as well be walking around the 24/7.
Broadcast of yourself for rapper.
With every single word you say with every single solitary.
How do you spend.
-- and -- -- people don't realize this who you know whatsoever until it comes to their home.
And something that they did that they thought was private wasn't private here's -- you know the news.
As I've been saying for five years now nothing is private you do on your computer it's not -- it never will be I also set the new -- -- don't you price of some money some day.
It's gonna run for president of the United States will be very qualified candidate.
And they're gonna get knocked out you know of the race because of something that they get on the Internet.
And -- lo and behold you have Anthony Weiner and let The Who who mostly people make you know fun of -- is the bottom a lot of -- if you watch his candidacy you know fall apart.
If you know politicians that he knew this guy that guy is a highly highly highly qualified politician he knows how to get legislation passed and that's what you want from politicians but.
He doesn't have a shot he's -- that could have been the guy who maybe someday could have been president -- mayor of New York or whatever that he will not be able to do because he thought he was doing something private and I may -- inappropriate on the Internet.
Yeah -- does reveal things about us that's for sure.
I think the snow and things adjusting and in this way a lot of politicians on both sides of the political aisle come out of call this guy trader called everything in the book.
The people we spoken to the work and some of these agencies will say.
What he's given up so far to say so far though we know love.
It's really nothing new I mean our enemies already knew this stuff and that they're better at than we are in many cases.
And that's one of the complaints some of these people have been making some of these guys are in these industries men and women who are fighting.
For us really on the Internet and in the world wide web you know in areas that many of -- to even understand.
The question becomes now did -- and take other stuff that might potentially harm the US in an effort to save his own life I mean I think that's really with a question.
You don't have this right out yeah I think there's a variety of issues there and you know one is is that you have people inside you know.
You know the beltway or inside -- DC or or or people who have classified positions.
Who say you know always given up is what we what we knew already.
That's coming inside baseball yet that's what everybody -- intelligence knew already its not what the whole world knew all right now the whole world knows it.
So public know -- -- -- Got.
But Eric the whole world -- no -- I -- you've ever I think the issue is is.
The whole world didn't need to know I think and it comes down to what our adversaries and knew I mean that's -- it's I don't care if Joseph and and Jan and ending Croatian knew we were doing.
I do care -- the Croatian government knew we were doing or what the Russian government knew we were doing and I think that's where the separation is for me at least as an American is.
I wanna know what my government knows on mean I think it's my right as a free in a in a free society or what's supposed to be a free society.
At the same time I don't think I'm up -- living in dream role I mean.
The Russians the Chinese they knew what we're capable on this whole idea that we gave them the technology to let them know that how they're being watched they already knew that that's -- You have but let's not baloney is is that.
I mean look it to just take Germany away as one country I could just spin -- a million different countries and tight -- Each of them thinks about the United States now because of what the information it -- and gave up.
At a different public perception I think -- as differently which affects the way in which affects our relationship.
And you know it's gonna -- affect our future relationships no doubt so.
You know whether he's giving up information that we already knew about anyway or and and and is there more to come which is the big question on a daily basis with everybody and intelligence.
How much more is to come -- this guy's mouth everyone's worried about that.
But the way the country's look at each other is going to be different now everything -- change because of one guy decided -- You know give out a lot of information also anybody's ever -- classified position now.
It may be at risk.
For information being exposed that.
A chapter was closed on on classified work that they had done that is no longer close because of him maybe -- now a lot of good people are very concerned right -- classified positions.
But there are questions for -- do you think it's public perception because I mean.
I just don't believe that a Chinese and the Russians didn't know we are the Germans didn't know we are capable of -- mean.
Feverishly he's given it is pretty well known endings it's open source stuff you could find right now and it.
And let the Chinese the Germans and the and the Russians are completely inept at what they do.
They wouldn't know what what we're capable of doing -- -- -- -- -- difference here is the general population maybe didn't know when you have to worry about what that might.
What that might bring the ramifications of that but -- many governments themselves no we we could do it back -- doing the same thing.
-- basically for the most part you're right I mean that the thing is is that.
Edit it in any country where you have elected officials.
They get elected based on what the public perception is.
So the public has a different perception and a lot of places.
Where there's elected officials who now have to deal with what the public perception is that they didn't have before so it really will change history.
Right Eric got a mom we have a great website initially for a -- as well associate publisher social Max.
Do you find and also the really have a bomb there's the website there you can find him a really -- Obama also is as his at Twitter handles so and they in need wasn't as Eric.
Eric OPR dot com right there Erica PR dot com we always appreciate you coming on talking about everything security and -- good.
The topic I think it's not going to be going away anytime if you haven't heard the breaking news Snowdon has been allowed at least temporary asylum.
