Working with thoughts where on one dot com the -- you're adjusting pray.
Let's get -- with a couple of it apparently is heading to theaters this week including the historical drama Lee Daniels the Butler.
-- stars as well a long list of stars now I'll just name a few.
Forest Whitaker Oprah Winfrey Cuba Gooding junior Terrence Howard Lenny Kravitz.
An African American Butler who worked at White House eight presidencies.
Expands the civil rights movement -- his point of view from.
The White House the -- also within his own house.
It also happens to be based on the true story -- and -- let you take it from here.
But this is probably the first Oscar contender of the year this is a really good movie and district by -- -- Lee Daniels who did precious and won an Oscar for precious.
But let me tell you that acting in this film is phenomenal like you had a whole list of people and there's even more and it yet yet but Forest Whitaker.
I don't think he is as great as he was offers Oscar winning role in last king of Scotland but he's pretty close and he definitely deserves to be nominated for an Oscar.
We don't know yet what else -- his competition can be tracked as it stands now he deserves an Oscar.
And Oprah too and this is Oprah's first returns it to movies in a very long time and she is excellent she gets such a subtle performance -- Forest Whitaker.
And what's so good about this movie is that I mean it squeezes the entire civil rights movement into two hours to travel -- through the whole civil rights movement from.
The late 1950s even up through the the Reagan administration and its -- on stuff that's going on.
Right now but it -- a lot in there and you would think that.
-- crime that much and there it would skim over a lot and it does get over a lot it touches on surface moments throughout the there throughout the entire history.
But Lee Daniels -- -- -- well and let me also say that -- on the writer Danny Strong he did a great job at writing the script and and -- all these stories around.
But didn't the real great thing about this film is it's a tale of two faces so you see.
The struggle that's going on in the south with the civil rights movement but -- you see what's going on in the White House.
And -- gains he's the Butler to these eight presidents and you have a lot of things people playing his presence you have.
John Cusack is Richard Nixon -- written in as Ronald Reagan and -- Williams's Eisenhower -- -- as Zahn.
Johnson and it's.
And I think as some people have heard Jane Fonda Jane Bryant of the great yeah she has one brief scene and she's great I mean they all adding that such and epic film taking on so many periods of time that you.
And they want it in short scenes when it comes to all these cameras.
On the surface it looks like -- would be gimmicks -- joke but they're not these actors to -- really good job at at becoming these presents the two faces like I said that the civil rights movement going on in the south and the stuff that's going on in the White House and it and there's this like contract between the reality of the White House.
And then the brutality of what's going on.
In the south but also they are to -- is going on with Cecil Gaines who Forest Whitaker does such a great job playing.
He has to be.
The Butler to the presidents and he has to not be political and he can not get involved with any of this and -- home he has to deal with.
An alcoholic wife which -- -- went three plays and his.
Activists son David -- yellow hope he does a great job of playing social son and he is.
He's he's hot headed and he is passionate and he joins the the freedom riders -- Martin Luther king and then.
It touches on stuff and Malcolm X and then the black Panthers and then his his rise in the politics.
And and that contrast between.
Forest Whitaker and -- gains.
And his son Louis is is actually the best part of this film and to those who actors -- -- Whitaker and only yellow are.
Are fantastic in this -- so definitely check out.
-- -- -- -- Yes Lee Daniels the Butler -- some people may have heard there is a debate over the title and a totally into the change as -- -- able currently -- An -- of his film very powerful movie.
Next is this Steve Jobs biopic starring Ashton Kutcher and Josh -- Steve -- the thought that during 1970 one's 1991.
Apple's headquarters jobs parents -- and the sound of the real -- by the way.
It shows them making their vision into our reality and eventually changing our -- -- -- -- so just in what you hear about that film.
Well the most spectacular thing about this is Ashton Kutcher who would've thought that the -- from pumped.
Is Steve Jobs I mean so what a great -- for him and what a great role for him to actually show.
That -- can act and he does he's a good act.
-- -- a lot more behind the scenes but a lot in the tech world and that's right connection right there.
But -- a film.
I you've seen this I have yet to see this film.
Now does that don't play it safe with Steve Jobs does a challenge any anything his donors like.
All that it does show that at one point in time he was fired from his own company that -- -- and it shows that more are also.
A lot of people may not be familiar with -- -- makes you think -- going to be just all flattering -- -- -- sent them into his personal life and his personal -- his daughter that -- -- -- -- biological daughter -- wildly -- -- talk about that and -- in terms of personal relationships and I guess that it does show him it ends squaring off with some of the people that he.
Was in business and also -- to the crime fighting team returning for an.
Well if you are fan of the first one then you'll probably have no problem with this one but if you're just coming into -- -- -- franchise with number two you know.
Barton for a very big surprise because even Jim Carrey who is one of the -- co stars in this film.
Has distanced himself from this film because of the violence.
Now if you're familiar with the first -- film it's very vulgar and it is extremely violent I mean these are kids dressed -- -- super -- Killing people and brutal league.
You know beating people up and saying really really backwards.
So they're trying to -- again this this time so.
What I've heard I've yet to see his film to.
What I've heard is that there is a rate seen in this film that is supposedly played up for last now I don't see how that's funny.
I don't know what the filmmakers are trying to get across with -- -- If -- engine Karrie has distanced himself in this movie I can't imagine that this -- very good.
-- will be very successful.
It's shout out -- sat out that Lee Daniels the Butler as I'm sure we'll be hearing a lot more about -- awards season.
That may make it -- your movie going -- starting at well.
It's the first Oscar contender of the year but -- an out an all around.
The acting all the acting -- across the board is great yes this honor stated performing this weekend by everybody and there's new perspective it is a new perspective on the civil rights movement.
That's this or 11 on the big screen read about more films coming out this we -- -- in -- on -- or online dot com also pictured -- -- -- -- shout out -- box or 11 and as always thanks for joining us.
