The red I'll start reviewing this topic since -- let Tony start last time.
What's your reaction to Catherine Herridge is report has a lot White House lost credibility and -- so.
How can it regain it.
Well I think that you know and she mentioned being -- president Obama's come -- -- talked on this topic and we haven't really seen any quantifiable results as a result of some of the things that he's put out there.
You know this is a very very healthy dialogue for our country to be having right now about the the privacy of our individuals are records as well as our national security and and and the primary responsibility of our government.
We could argue is national security and I think that.
You know if you put the privacy -- went inside and -- focused solely on national security.
You know the one thing that Americans want to know is that our president and his administration are stepping up to the plate and -- at least protecting us in that regard.
You know privacy would be the second concern and we've seen quite a healthy debate I think amongst members of congress.
And it it doesn't it split amongst party lines and I think it's there's a whole bunch of shades of gray and as a robust conversation that we need to have.
And I do think that if the president is willing and can show -- that he's willing to work with congress on some of these issues to perfect this program.
Clearly we need to have some type of program like this but to make it an advantageous program.
That would be that would be a positive sign I think that the -- it.
For their fifty shades of -- I'm not going to -- yeah I don't love you brought it up you know -- was in the back in your mind.
Sony let me give you a shot at that.
I -- a lot of what the rest tonight I think the the idea of of the troops teammates and that's one of the things that I think.
It is true for Democrats that is true Republicans.
They do you understand the steps that need to be taken to keep the country safer.
But for instance and the reporter earlier.
It's a real.
It's a real conversation about.
Who would house.
Materials that you collect or or information that is collected.
For instance if you don't want the government's hold onto it then can it be accessible.
Can that information he made accessible.
By the phone companies and phone companies may not want interest than that but at least it would not be -- they already have that information which that would not be the government having a database of calls or something along those lines where they'd be able to mind.
And do the work that that that we want them to do without being some repository -- so much information which I think people rightly don't feel comfortable about.
I think it was a bit of an overstretched to -- to the IRS to the -- too.
To this to another problem to -- those altogether.
Under the white house leadership I don't think that actually close but I didn't think we've had.
An important conversation come out of the NSA story and and I but I think we will actually find.
Members of the members of congress with good ideas for how to make it better.
You believe that.
-- -- -- I do I do I I think that we can have a healthy debate on this topic it seems to be.
One of the subjects that's our primary concern to all Americans because it impacts all of us directly.
And I think that there is a willingness a bipartisan willingness to find the right solution.
OK we have a couple of -- so when a charity right now Dan oh Texas -- says you have to earn trust.
And they're only doing things that create mistrust not anything to try and earn it back any big -- 323 says remember when they would say.
You really don't want to know everything to -- the federal government does they were right to be ten seconds Tony -- -- -- ten seconds and we move on go ahead tonight.
I agree entirely that trust has to be earned.
And and -- be able figure out they wanna fix things and make them better for instance the be be -- the thousands of other cases the error.
That could that is that might even be a reasonable air -- -- for that program so.
But I agree you have to earn trust.
-- -- -- I would agree trust is earned and Washington has quite a way to go with that so I understand the concern on behalf of the American people -- think.
Really appreciate your time line these very important topic the -- -- look for.
Founder and president will -- associates.
Reader of the fifty shades of gray Tony well edition of the program for a second day -- -- a lot of -- out there today -- well -- former Press Secretary -- Greg national committee I understand he Biden ticket taking a peek at a book I don't know be -- did not.
