Here Clayton Morris for -- fox -- taken today we talk about the brand new moto acts from Motorola and go -- Motorola and Google because this is the first real phone.
That Google has made along with its acquisition.
And it is a beautiful fall so let's dive in I'll show -- some of the features.
-- start with how it feels in the hand it feels great it's one of these phones that's not too heavy it's not too light.
-- I think they really found the sweet spot with the size of the four point seven -- display plus it has this nice little dimple on the back right below.
With the that would be a Motorola symbol on it which helps you really orient your hand with the phone so if you.
Putting your hand in your pocket kind of know where your finger is just by putting your finger on this -- As a beautiful camera.
And a well rounded back and they didn't try to make it too thin first in state.
I was excited to try out -- really stock android experience there are few customizable settings in here thanks to Motorola which I enjoy.
But mostly it is a true android experience without the extra crust that you get from -- Samsung galaxy S four or even some of the HTC sense.
Stuff that's put on top of android a really nice clean android experience.
One of the features I really love about this phone.
Is the notification and a silent little way that it gives you the time and you notification right on the screen.
So justice -- glancing at the phone on a regular basis I can see the time this kind of pop up there when I pull out of my pocket it knows that I probably just -- a glance at the time.
So every so often -- glancing across the room -- the time just pops up there.
Also in the senator you'll notice those notifications.
So I tap on that notification it gives me a little information at the top of it.
I like go -- those are active notifications to Sony tap on that act I can go right into that notification.
And start to do some work.
-- my only minor complaints is the screen and I can beautiful retina resolution with this phone.
And some of the colors -- little over saturated if you want a written a screen.
Then this isn't the phone for you although I did tested over the past two weeks out broad broad daylight.
And it works really well in bright sunlight.
So no complaints there some of the complaints about this phone are that it's a mid range phone -- it's not as powerful some of the other phones out there but frankly I didn't notice any of that.
Effect it has eight cores built in so what does that mean well means a little bit of processing power for graphics a little bit of processing power for voice recognition basically a lot.
Of Smart computing happening underneath the hood of this phone makes for a great experience.
One of the flagship features of this phone.
Is that it's always listening to you.
And not using a lot of battery power when it's doing it so with a simple voice command which -- set up ahead of time I can say OK Google now.
Give me directions.
To a pizza place.
Notice I didn't have to do anything to touch on the phone it automatically was listening to me and it's probably looking up a pizza place right now.
OK Google now remind me later today to take out the trash.
And it sets up calendar reminder for later in the day.
It's also been great for driving that's where it's not a gimmick hands free I can say OK Google now give me directions to The Home Depot.
And -- not only find Home Depot would automatically.
Starts navigating the right to that location.
As I -- I'm a big fan of the back of these phones but another one of the flagship features that Motorola and Google are touting.
Different color combinations by going on to their website moto maker I can -- get out of red backed -- with a white front.
I can get a -- of red -- with black back I could even get would all sorts of different colors fully customizable made in the United States by the way.
In Fort Worth, Texas and shipped to your door within four days so you save on the shipping -- a product that's right here in the United States.
There is no expendable storage so no extra SD slot in the side of this so if you get in sixteen or 32 gigabytes.
That's what you're stuck -- However they are throwing in fifty gigabytes of free drive storage on Google's cloud service so that's a nice little -- If he had any questions about the moto X you can find me on Twitter at -- more us or on Google+ and -- happy to answer any of your questions until next time.
