Into one day I got on the scale.

And because I you know I had done.
You know my life is no different anybody else's that it becomes morbidly obese you will start out that way which you have to have a right hand.
You know as an athlete and college -- you know -- probably to ten when I played in all central climbed it.
You know just I can't be the same but the you know -- You know -- but as affable coach you know you were surrounded by you know mechanisms.
That you could very easily had.
You idolize and I'm sure you did -- mean.
Why do you think did the traditional things didn't work for you they did work it's at some point.
Sometimes you know but I did it fifty times I was successful weight -- -- fifty times right and a gain everything back right and just a typical you know you'll deal.
And and so that's where was but I knew like that was that was in the answer for me know -- no way was that the answer from me and you know so I knew I had three choices there.
Either I was gonna get to it but that that'd be a breaking point -- us it was shortness of breath collapsed flights of -- all this type of stuff.
And here I was getting ready to coach in the AFC championship game my rookie year my first years as.
Rookie head coach which had been -- a whole lot me in the history you know well.
So really you know feeling great about that kind of my dream job being -- head coach -- New York Jets.
And at you know I am I realized that I had enjoy this more right -- -- -- enjoy my kids growing up and wanna see their kids grow up.
And I think that's what it was morning -- it wasn't for appearance -- or anything else even though it's a huge difference.
So I looked at my knowledge good but I don't I don't want they -- to have a lot better than I did I -- -- -- -- I was 350 pounds to you know what.
I did it because I want to live a long healthy life and that was the way to do it I knew I had lose weight and as as somebody put it to me -- how many people 350 pounds over fifty that you see there.
I don't hit.
The point is they're not out there anymore they used to be out there not there anymore so you better do something about it you know.
And in the weight -- obviously with with a heart disease and diabetes with sleep -- all those type of things -- do something drastic.
Let's talk about some of the tips that you consider to be important people out there that might be struggling with weight I think the number one thing.
-- do the research I mean there's three things you can do.
If you're morbidly obese and and you've decided that surgery is the only option for you just -- was the only option for me.
There's the gastric bypass there's a sleeve.
And then there's there's a laughing can -- about -- I looked at those things look you're gonna lose weight with all of them.
But the thing that was important to me is number one I wanna come through surgery without complications.
That was a -- -- -- one was completely out.
The and then as I as -- later studied the other two don't guarantee that you have sustainable success in that -- and that.
That I won I'm not gonna lose the weight and have the thing come back again and so to me there was only one choice and that was a -- it.

You don't feel it right nothing.

And I think this is what separates it from the sleeve and other cases that.
