We'll she's delivered God's word hundreds of thousands of people revivals have been held in more than thirty cities in twelve different countries evangelist and Graham -- is the daughter of legendary Billy Graham.
-- the author of a new book wounded by God's people discovering how God's love.
-- our heart influences them.
Thanks for him -- -- I don't know how I'm glad to be here thank you for having so what's what's the essence of your message in this book.
People that within the church Christians are now within that community of faith can hurt each other.
And when -- hurt by people who are.
God's people sometimes we think we blame god for that yes and I think within the church we we think we're safe you know we come -- -- Our church family and we love those people we learned to trust them and we've relax with them and then when where reject it or -- -- betrayed by those very people.
Then is devastating and it can affect our relationship with god and and they say that they that the majority of people like I thought about this morning whoever's watching your stroke.
Probably -- Sunday morning maybe they're not going to church.
Because have been hurt by some in the majority of people who were in church you don't go to church don't go to church because they were hurt somebody in the church.
And and my husband and I we've had.
Some bad experiences in church we were basically removed from a church for constant I'm just some political things that don't quit too much influence on the congregation.
Another one where they drove me young pastor out when they didn't.
Drove -- -- we left so twice I've been but I called believer in exile -- -- -- out of the church for a year both times that lasted about a year.
And because of her and hurt -- so devastating.
So in -- main essence of the book.
For forgiving and forgetting -- it's one of those things we say he's got to forgive and forget him but it's really hard and I'm very hard and how -- -- -- -- I don't think you can forget -- -- just cracked I don't I'm not sure as human beings we can forget but we can forgive I think forgiveness is a choice we choose to forgive the other person.
And then that the emotions catch up for me when that our reach out and do something for that person.
And and it sounds sort of bizarre but make that -- to doing some -- for the person in this kind of could be -- -- -- could be going about a -- than it could -- just someone who's wrong yet right.
And then what that does even if it doesn't affect them if freeze my spirit and -- -- my spirit -- sets up above and then have to embrace.
Whatever my life is that god would have for me that might be different.
From what I thought like outside the church we got caught up in that chair I'm in that one church but -- for fifteen years hop on how we grow old -- -- and be buried there and but then we moved on and I had to embrace now the life that was without when a product I would have so.
But the forgiveness that something that this wonderful thing.
Is that the Bible teaches that Jesus came to his own people and they were religious people and they were thinking just rejected him but they crucified him.
And he he responded in the same where he he forgave them.
And and when they need to ask for forgiveness than he for gives them but it says -- about the that he trusted himself to the one who judges all things.
And so when people -- us we don't we can hold them accountable to a certain degree we can forgive them we can love and we can reach out to them.
And when they God's going to set right well you'll sort an -- out.
That's a great message this morning the book again is wounded by God's people discovering how God's love.
Kills our hearts.
And -- -- -- and costly it's -- thank you measure.
