Mom -- Manuel band you have spirited debate on war brings you -- -- correspondent for Fox News Channel.
He isn't after an outspoken Christian advocate of its controversial but Kirk Cameron is -- with a new project exploring his own faith in god.
Unstoppable will be broadcast to theaters nationwide for one night only the film already created a firestorm on social media after FaceBook and YouTube took down the film's trailer.
For being unsafe and abusive Kirk Cameron joins me now with that doesn't tell people to go exactly and -- -- that.
I -- -- it's like you didn't even do the best paper.
They really did it was it was so ironic that that the group that tried to stop unstoppable really put the most fuel on the fire and got more people to buy -- anyone else.
What is unstoppable adverse fallout what did you go back I why did they call it -- it and unsafe.
Well your guess is good as mine it's a movie about faith hope and love in the midst of tragedy that -- -- this is isn't it that's something that I need to have something I think other people with life.
And why they get these problems has more to do with some people not liking me and and the subject matter.
And they used to legitimate security feature.
To report it as something we don't like.
And so -- really don't Verisign security feature what was the security features.
Well I think and this is just my guess -- I don't know for sure but I think that when you watch a video on FaceBook or YouTube and you have that little button you can report as spam or -- inappropriate material or or abuse of contents.
For stuff that ought to be reported.
-- -- Ironically the stuff that ought to be reported because it's disgusting is left up -- and stuff about faith hope and love that I made.
He is called.
-- it had to be shut down well people will listen to this that -- this interview will have to go in and actually check out the trailer because I checked it out like I don't get it but it's really compelling.
The trailer and it's certainly leads me to want to know what unstoppable really is about what is it.
Thank you do unstoppable is by far the most personal film that I've ever made -- I -- produced this myself.
And now it's really based on the true story.
-- a fifteen year old friend of mine who died of cancer this year and as a man of faith who's praying for his healing and for his recovery and and and together as a family.
-- we're all.
I'm believing that there is a loving powerful god that can that can interpose themselves between this evil and this.
Young boy and do something and when he died.
My intellectual answers didn't satisfy me I could line up the dots I could look at this is a math problem and say I can solve the variable here but it doesn't heal the -- my heart.
And when a mother -- -- your child.
I need to know where god is in this and so I went on a journey.
To get to the heart of the question why does god -- bad things happen to good people.
And I think I've come up with something that's going to be very helpful for people did it shake your right.
The death of a young boy that you've been praying for.
It caused me to reexamine these universal questions -- whether you're a Christian -- it you're Jewish or Muslim or Hindu or an atheist everyone's asking this question because you've got -- deal.
Moral evil you've got to deal with with pain and grief and makes sense of it.
So why I could -- actually answer and account for my beliefs.
Didn't know how to deal with the wound and that shredding of of the fiber of my heart whenever you're losing a loved one and I wanted to do in a way.
That was more narrative and story in nature.
That I can grab onto in a way that that solving a math problem just didn't cut but we've got a clip of unstoppable let's take a look at it right now.
So let's go back to the very beginning of the story.
This is -- God's whole story.
He makes that they're.
He calls it.
The landing -- -- -- -- -- He causes.
Seeds to come for -- growing the plants and fruit bearing trees.
And then he takes two thirds.
A man out of it and god takes the dirt and causes a -- to come up.
From the dirt and cover the face of the ground so he's working with mind.
That is made in his own image he breathes the breath of life into his nostrils and Indy -- race.
A living creature.
City about them at the very been very as far as like -- -- -- -- now people will be inspired to go buy tickets tell me about.
The live event that's coming up on September 24.
Unstoppable has a unique.
Release it's going to be in 700 theaters broadcast live from Liberty University.
Cities all over the country and it's more than just a movie so if you get a ticket you're actually getting.
And music concert together with me interviewing people who've been through tremendous tragedy and come out the other side stronger we then watch the movie together.
And start this discussion.
Answer this this this journey that I've taken you on as the beginning point for understanding where god is in the midst of tragedy.
-- why partner with Liberty University have -- on that the overall right now so there must be out a very strong connection for you.
I'm very impressed with Liberty University not only is it the largest nonprofit private university and -- and the nation it's the largest Christian university in the world.
And they've got a world view that I respect.
They're not looking to retreat from culture and hide from the darkness they're saying -- -- the mandate is to his two.
Infiltrate and push back the darkness let's create the culture we want rather than complaining about it.
And how like that idea and they're doing it through films in the film school that I partnered with.
To make unstoppable and the students are involved and -- and working in the real world and we're talking about their work right now that's not how people get tickets with us.
Go to unstoppable in the movie dotcom type in your zip code and you can get tickets at a theater near you this -- -- -- fascinating and I -- it because it was actually the trailer was actually quite compelling.
And it actually won a beauty team to see the movies I think we're much Kirk Cameron thank you -- and they told unstoppable and check -- -- the Atlanta that is on September 24.
-- you can buy tickets there -- -- unstoppable thank you very much mayor thank you and angry much for joining us on -- debate.
