If we're going to oppose Obama -- is to stand together and oppose cloture and I would ask for my friends on the democratic.
When Americans tried -- they discovered they did not like.
Green eggs and ham and they did not like -- -- -- listen I think under no circumstances.
Should members of congress be treated better.
And what we're doing under the law forcing.
Upon millions and millions of America.
Was just so look a little bit of the sounds from 41 hours in ninety minutes but what did the Texas senator and his opponents.
Of obamacare what do they have to show for now.
A Florida senator Marco Rubio with -- the foreign relations committee and the intelligence committee as well sir welcome back here to America's Newsroom and -- your big supporter of crews on the floor.
What came out of it well first of all I think we can all.
Know for sure that the American people today are a lot more familiar about the dangers in the failings of obamacare and the stakes.
Then there were just the day before sometimes it's important to call attention to these issues and and that's why I thought it was important to do this on -- look there's going to be real pain.
Inflicted upon the American dream by obamacare by its different provisions.
And I think it's important people understand that ultimately there's going to be a vote here -- my prediction unfortunately is that we may not prevail on the votes but I'll tell you what.
People across this country are gonna know where they're individual senator stands and in particular those senators that come from states.
But Barack Obama didn't win democratic senators who are about to support and vote in support of a law.
That's gonna hurt people in that state very badly and I I hear a sense of concession in your voice.
There's obamacare -- I -- vote.
Know -- -- -- concession on the floor vote vote over the next 24 hours of the Democrats do what they're threatening to do which is to lock step.
Vote against this thing then -- we're not gonna win in the short term but I think in the long term we've made tremendous progress.
Because you look across this country they are now millions upon millions of people that maybe we're not paying attention to this debate.
That now recognize that obamacare is upon us and all of the terrible harm it's about to -- on the American dream and on the people were trying to make it.
So you believe fundamentally this is a battle over over big government.
And when there's no doubt we're going to be allowed to decide for themselves whether or not the law contributes to that.
Or makes the system.
Worse what -- hear exactly what this is that's exactly what this is the debate about big government vs free enterprise.
The defenders of big government always go around saying the big government is good for the people who were trying to make it the working class in the middle class.
Obamacare proves that big government is not good for the people who were trying to make it in fact it hurts them the most.
You know these big corporations is very wealthy people that may not like obamacare but they can hire the best lawyers in America to help navigate it in the best lobbyists in Washington to get them waivers and exemptions.
The people who -- trying to make you can't do any of that and obamacare is the latest proof.
That free enterprise is good for America.
But big government has not and you're seeing the consequences of what what now is the strategy I knew what what do you what do you men and women talking about on the Republican side would you do I think the strategy the strategy is to use every opportunity at our disposal.
To try to get rid of this lawn of the horrible impact it's gonna have on the American dream and on people are trying to work hard and get ahead.
I think that strategy is to continue to remind people that we're not just up here fighting against obamacare.
We're fighting for and on behalf of the people that are gonna get hurt by this including people -- quite frankly may not be Republicans -- may not vote for us we're fighting for them to.
Because they're going to be hurt by this they're gonna lose their full time job they're gonna lose hours at the part time job.
They're gonna lose their existing relationship with a doctor they're gonna lose their existing health coverage that they're happy with.
That is fundamentally unfair and it is wrong and we have to fight it every chance we have so that you believe.
Rand Paul Mitch McConnell and they say the witness -- -- will it it'll it'll crumble under the weight of its.
I guess the fallacy upon which it was built I mean you believe that will happen in if it does happen.
What -- November of 2014.
For the people you match.
Well couple things I do believe the law will crumble under its own -- the problem is that when the walk crumbled those falling rocks are gonna get hit people they're gonna hurt people along the way.
There are people that right now are being hurt by -- -- hasn't even been fully implemented yet.
OKC world just announced -- my home state about a week and a half ago.
That it's moving all of its 32 -- part time employees to 28 hours those are real people those are real families that are being hurt -- -- who's fighting for them.
And so while we're waiting for this thing to crumble these people are hurting and these people are suffering so someone has to speak up for that as well I know you talk to Democrats to.
You when you present that argument what -- they say in response.
They say that once this law goes into effect -- organ upon -- that -- gonna fall in love with the you know that money that they get to buy health insurance are going to be happier than I've ever been so they just want this thing to go forward because they're convinced that people are gonna love it -- -- goes into effect.
But they don't realize is that what people think this law is those -- still supported and -- the law actually is are two very different things and I can't imagine anyone being happy.
The -- being moved from full time to part time and I can't imagine anyone being happy.
Losing hours at the part time job or losing their job altogether but did a lot of things that they have and are gonna -- front today fundamentally disagree with.
What -- with that opinion and that interpretation of the at all.
Well first of all they gotta be careful because they've got a left wing base of their own party that believes in a single Payer system.
And so that -- to many people on the left of the Democratic Party obamacare isn't even go far enough.
So for many of these Democrats they would have a rebellion on the left flank and they even spoke out or criticize the obamacare it's.
You know that's become that's rigid in their thought process but I think in the real world they're hearing from the same people we are.
That people that are upset they're gonna lose their jobs -- they're losing their existing coverage or cannot long continue to see this thing doctor.
And they're gonna hear more more -- in the weeks and months to come and I think it's going to be a major issue.
And that's when he fourteen elections.
