Matt -- -- editor in chief of our favorite movie reviewing website of cost rotten tomatoes dot com is -- that's good to see Matt.
Good to see -- we -- we mentioned this last week and I'm really excited because not only is he my namesake but he's a guy guy I grow up watching.
Bomb in motor -- had James -- Movie about him and -- that rivalry with -- -- the Austrian great driver from Austria -- is that this weekend you said last week.
It's great candidates hold it off under -- -- It seems.
Yes the critics really like this one it's certified fresh at 85% on -- three -- you mentioned.
This is the story the rivalry between -- -- in specifically around the 1976.
Formula One series.
And this is directed by Ron Howard it's a really.
Effective the sports drama.
Guy hits all the right notes -- great story about a rivalry and how to rivals can really bring out the best -- each other.
I think this is absolutely we're seeing.
People don't need to be afraid of this.
If you don't know anything about Formula One Racing you're going to be just fine here because it's really more about the characters.
And in fact I would say for those people that are really really experts about this.
They're actually you could maybe be a little bit less excited because -- really does take a few liberties with this story of these two guys.
But this is really effective movie it's great to see it's a really good look at how some sports stars in the seventies acted you know you can see your namesake.
You know into formula three car after having -- -- quick shot his campaign into a quick choke off of it joints you know that's the way they did it -- -- Gary.
This is a -- movie.
He was certainly quite the character and -- you say it did -- even if you don't know Formula One that.
You you'll you can like this movie doesn't -- go for if you if you simply don't like sports prison -- My wife's not a big sports fan but could I take that this would she enjoy it.
Absolutely I mean it really is a character drama about two people who do.
The same thing in very similar ways you know -- takes this is a very professional aspect adds you know he's very technical.
And -- very meticulous and you know James Hunt.
You know as they show you don't really -- of -- for the seat of his parents and and he's much wilder.
And yet they're both champion level competitors and and this could -- to a story about businessman.
To translate to a story about lawyers I just happens of these guys drive race cars but it's really ultimately about the human drama of these two characters and it's pretty effective.
I'm not my biggest fear actually is that I take my wife to this movie and she thinks way I'm married the wrong -- -- a long way -- Allen's much and I.
I'm anyway on don't know what else to go to another very well reviewed movie don't -- Yet Don -- -- this is the first movie from two director.
They Joseph Gordon-Levitt now we've seen him acted upon a bunch of -- but.
This is his first what does a director and writer.
He's done a pretty good job here the critics really like this one this is a story about a guy.
You know the best way to describe -- mystic of this situation on Jersey Shore that's basically this character -- Watches a lot of online pornography -- and says in a voice over narration that.
He finds that more satisfying than actually making love to real women.
So he comes into a relationship with -- beautiful girl played by Scarlett Johansson.
-- with a certain set a preconceived notions about what a relationship could be like.
-- she comes in with those -- with a similar set of the preconceived notions based on the romantic comedies that she is -- dot.
So the movie starts out about being about the tension in the relationship based on the -- expectations -- false expectations that these two characters have that are fed by the media.
But it doesn't really adjusting thing -- pivots in a different direction it really takes Levitt's character.
As a very serious person it doesn't make it cliche out of -- -- so I think this movie does a lot of things really well now it's not perfect it leaves a little bit on the table.
But I think that as -- directing effort for first time director this is a fantastic movie and absolutely we're seeing and as I said the critics really liken it certified fresh.
And 83% on the tour animator and an interesting choice to Scott Johnson I guess.
Yes -- you know she's really kind of getting backed her East Coast roots here she plays a character that is not as sympathetic as she might seem to -- And -- you know that these are real characters here great supporting cast Tony Danza plays Joseph Gordon-Levitt father he's really good in this.
-- pretty Larson does a good job as his younger sister I Glenn Headley to please his mother you've got a really strong supporting cast.
And I found this to be a really enjoy -- All right we have one more at new release which is cloudy with a chance of -- -- follow up.
To what was a huge -- of course is this what is good.
This one is not quite as good it's still pretty solid but it's not Xenia respond or original as the first -- the first what is about a scientist who comes up with a machine.
The turns water into giant pieces of food this when the machine has been modified it combines food with animals making what they call -- notables.
-- a very silly very weird movie it's not quite as sharp as the first one.
But the critics still mostly like at 62% of its -- and -- it's the kind of movie that.
The kids who really joint appearance won't really mind sitting through.
As opposed to some of the kids movies like this verse where you think -- got a lot of club -- -- Well that's that's the key to making big money hey Matt I -- you launched the the TV zone on the rotten tomatoes recently we've had a big week.
All of the new shows has the TV's -- going on what's what's rating well.
It's going great you know some good shows making their return to make it their debuts -- agents -- shield.
Which premiered on Tuesday.
Has a really good score that's.
-- about 85%.
On the train -- -- certified fresh.
I -- the second week of Sleepy Hollow on fox.
Which is kind of a retake of ichabods -- story of the headless horseman that shows doing particularly well you know -- we've got some good ones.
-- that didn't do so well either you know the show dad's got a zero unfortunately.
That doesn't look like it's getting better any time soon while.
Alright -- that would set as we're gonna get some cancellations -- after -- fairly soon I would imagine which will be fascinating.
All right Matt actually the editor in chief of rotten tomatoes don't come legacy is always not have a wonderful weekend.
Thank you --
