Good morning I -- Chris Farrell and here are -- about -- from Fox News first.
Off the top Hillary builds her liberal firewall last night.
Hillary are four Rodham Clinton was hanging out.
At the Center for American Progress they're liberals.
And she talked about progress and -- -- amend liberalism and all of that stuff sounds like somebody does not want to have a repeat of 2008.
Play out in 2068.
Helping the cause George Soros.
You know who he is he's going to be a co chairman of the -- ready for Hillary so.
Off we go up next as pressure routes civilians stays out of town.
That is Kathleen Sebelius that is the Alamo.
She's going to be making a stand.
Today of sorts in San Antonio.
Today talking about why it's not great that the obamacare web site exploded.
But that it's going to be okay.
Can she hold out in a difficult political space.
At gently refusing calls for her resignation.
But at the same time saying that she's the one best equipped.
To repair what's wrong with the web -- it's a tough one to -- how will she do it.
Next if Obama had to be on obamacare are friends of the Washington examiner.
Put this to the test under obamacare even President Obama would -- shocking job and insurance costs.
By more than 48%.
And some state insurance exchanges such as Wisconsin's pretty good potentially see his total premium and out of pocket costs skyrocket from 21000.
Dollars to 32000.
200 dollars no word on whether that includes an annual physical at Camp David and around the clock medical care appreciate -- for an apology.
Senator Ted -- -- -- that it seemed like.
Nigerian emails gamers were running the obamacare website drew the ire of Nigeria's ambassador the United States at day at -- way today.
Speaking to Politico -- -- way demanded an apology from crusade Nigerians are very law abiding.
We will point out however that last year a study found that 51% of all email scams originated in Nigeria just saying.
Last but definitely not least old V indignity a Norton Massachusetts -- was placed on lockdown.
Much the -- and this may have students and teachers after an unknown person tried several doors but could not get end.
Norton police department took to FaceBook later in the day to say that it was just a lady.
Who had to go to the potty and couldn't find a way into the building everything was just find those you -- -- you to have all of that and more if you were signed up for fox.
It's first it's also.
Just go to practice politics dot com and sign out.
Renewed all right now because its -- -- So happy birthday thank you and let's keep going.
And that laughter of those pier holes some might even say tackling.
Issued on stage.
At the Center for American Progress is tenth anniversary bash with headline speaker Hillary Clinton offering to jump out of their birthday cake this is power play.
I Internet happy Friday.
Now Hillary Clinton's relationship with the press dates we weave back and covering the house of Clinton is no easy task.
They're good at dealing with the press but don't always get favorable press coverage.
It's tricky stuff as Hillary comes closer and closer to what seems like an explicit rather than an implicit run for the presidency.
How's that going to go.
It is good that that we have a person of -- intellect and long experience.
In seeing how the clintons are covered.
And how they deal with that coverage is Howard -- he is of course fox news media analyst and he has more importantly for your purposes that are at the host of media buzz.
Every Sunday morning at 11 am I -- makers.
All right so.
To your question is how.
-- is going to government or campaign I would say.
Isn't the president already covering Hillary campaign in fact is that the -- already covering Hillary administration is seems.
Because the great certitude in Washington today is that Hillary Clinton is going to be president of the United States for eight years yet by and I think that's dot.
I do remember hearing similar -- to.
She was gonna win this upstart Barack Obama -- of course was up in the polls like thirty points so I take that with a grain of salt.
All of which is not to say that she won't run and that she is what is the the cliche -- an odds on favorite to win the democratic odds on favorite now there -- a story out of Virginia that reminded -- All of us about how effective the Clinton's media and campaign efforts are.
Terry McAuliffe who is a long retainer long and loyal retainer for the clintons -- -- DNC for Bill Clinton.
He's the front runner he's by the way outspending his Republican opponents 321 the latest campaign finance numbers coming up 31 over and -- now it.
-- story came out the Associated Press in Richmond.
Ran a story they went with the story that said that McAuliffe had Dan and parred out he had been an investor in what turned out to be a scam.
McAuliffe people said not a scam we didn't know that it was a -- when we invested.
And it came out and the reason we didn't disclose it was because a lawyer said we didn't have to and it's all very unfortunate that a reporter made a mistake.
And is that a big mistake and found it TF.
In the seal court documents when you do -- sealed.
Document in a court case oftentimes -- do -- so that judges and juries contract with the players are a reporter -- to the conclusion that that was McAuliffe.
The documents didn't say that anywhere now the AP moved what's called a mandatory kill.
-- That's the when that came across your screen back in the old days that was everybody stopped doing what you're doing and eradicate every bit of this story.
But still the bureau chief got fired the reporter -- -- editor on that story got fire.
Many people said that that was because the clintons are still very good at applying pressure to reporters -- it's a little.
See any evidence about the Clinton.
Forces may have -- and this may have not I haven't seen anybody say it was a phone call memo an email or text.
And the reporter in question is -- -- 28 year veteran yeah associated press and look it was really bad mistake and he got suspended I was well you know this is terrible.
-- to end his career over that one mistake.
Seemed to me via access.
And and I didn't work didn't it.
Not with him but worked around him when I was in West Virginia in the two bureaus.
When they Merck winning he was consolidating -- merge -- two Virginians together and all of that stuff I was surprised at how at how heavy handed that seemed.
But you're right we don't know we don't know that that -- The clintons but I want to circle back to me and she knew was -- Hillary Rodham Clinton -- that -- could have jumped -- Because that's the kind of colorful comment that she didn't make in the last presidential campaign when a lot of people thought that she.
I was too but -- too cautious.
And you know you talk about her relationship with the press.
In her earlier incarnation that campaign.
Really -- -- -- kept the press and arms life which I think did not serve her well.
Because she can be very charming in interviews but it was a cautious farmers campaign that of course -- not succeed.
So good but I'm -- making a joke -- that Podesta is onstage at the Center for American Progress is exactly yakking it up on the back of the bus right.
Oh no not at all -- just say I wonder if this is no less -- I knew her lose serve remove or.
Colorful Hillary Clinton.
The secretary of former secretary.
Talking about her role in the and didn't.
Right now you're -- -- at place where there are acting story lines for reporters that relate to her time when she was in the Obama administration.
Particularly Ben -- but also everything else that the administration does she would be expected to comment on.
As she is in the public space out of that -- impressed -- with that.
Well I mean I think did Hillary Clinton right now.
Is pretty comfortable zone because it's 2013.
And she's not running now even though golf and she is prepared to -- your help -- -- business pro Hillary back.
So she doesn't have to be put herself in the position of commenting on every controversy whether it's Obama care.
Warming -- or other issues related to her time at the State Department.
But it's interesting to me that papers like the New York Times now a full time until we beat reporters covering her as if -- -- candidate way.
That's not necessarily great news because.
People get tired of people involved did you -- exposed in three years and also there have been some critical stories.
About the messy finances -- -- the Clinton foundation now the bill Hillary and Chelsea Clinton foundation.
Doesn't necessarily help books Clinton.
They are rich they are like they're like super rich now and they have a lot of super rich friends.
Big -- 323 now I remember why Obama won the first time it was him or Hillary.
I still can't figure out why he won the second time.
Is and anyone listening give Hillary a break it wasn't 3 AM when the phone rang.
From Ben Ghazi.
New York New York Times Washington Post particularly.
Have had a love hate relationship about covering the clintons.
And with the clintons there's that Clinton version of Camelot.
There have been a lot of these a lot of love VW stories over the year -- review -- Go -- exactly 92 and your time breaking the Whitewater story which -- clintons and came to -- was totally overblown but certainly put a dent -- Bill Clinton's first presidential campaign so there has been.
A lot of back and -- I think for this year and possibly through 2014.
Because she has this sort of running but not running above the fray doesn't have to sit.
We're going to be -- sixty minutes and -- -- and unless she steps on it somehow Hillary Clinton will get.
Pretty favorable coverage but I think once she actually edges toward if she does an actual candidacy then you have.
The examinations of the records the excavation of what she did or didn't -- -- State Department.
And I think just inevitably you'll have -- -- other people's night here right now you don't have Republicans.
Spending a lot of their firepower on Forbes record they're thinking about it -- they're thinking about it and you should be thinking about what you're gonna do on Sunday morning.
Which is -- tune in and watch media abuzz with Howard Kurtz who's on the show this week.
Let's say this week we have any homes ablaze TV we have -- the powers -- Fox News.
Couple other guests to talk about the way I attacked billionaires are starting to invest in journalism as a good thing -- thing -- help struggling whose business and a few -- cars.
-- power play is available for way less than that.
We are available for way less than that Howard -- thank you for your help thanks -- Internet you please stick around let's talk about Kathleen Sebelius can she keep her job.
And if she isn't what is the most propitious and useful time for the administration for her departure.
All of the political congress -- that plus more from you who are excellent so -- correct.
And receive adequate and then testing.
And we took those result those results were made available.
And I think who made aware of those results him and.
And that is what it sounds like when a government contractor gently eases Kathleen Sebelius under the bus at a house hearing that was Anders -- it.
He was and he he is still the group executive vice president of QSSI at a house and energy.
House energy and commerce committee hearing.
Why Obama -- dot com stinks this is power play welcome back OK so Kathleen Sebelius got out of town.
Very seldom do you get to see what an official is under fire that actually take flight.
But she split she went to Boston first for an event and headsets stayed on the road like on the campaign trail like.
What ever while hearings Republicans and Democrats.
Alike are voicing great consternation and deeply upset over.
Three years later in several hundreds of millions of dollars later the fact that the means to sign up for the new health care entitlement program.
It's a hole.
How can she stay in the job how long can she stay in the job.
And what are the yeses and -- when it comes to her departure people who know and can tell you how it will work out because they've seen it all before.
Garland an -- he is yes or radio show host quite so going to be PFW here in Washington DC.
Is man of the left the former peace officer and a friend of this Internet telecast.
A newer friend of this Internet telecast is Alex Smith yes she is that national chair woman not -- man she's -- national chairwoman we're chairperson.
She's not the chair she's the chairwoman.
Of the College Republican National Committee hi Alex.
-- -- itself Kathleen Sebelius says she doesn't work for the people that want her to resign which is technically true I mean she works for all of the taxpayers of America.
So she works -- she might have been better to say more.
There and those who want her to -- justice and nobody's getting fired over this this is sort of whenever.
Garland whatever you think of the health law whatever you think of the rollout a terrible answer you don't say that you're supposed to be concerned right -- yeah.
She is concerned but I think of the points he's making here is that firing people isn't gonna resolve the problem the fact it'll probably make it worse by getting rid of people in bringing green people -- -- know absolutely nothing about the program so I think she's on the right track.
There's just a lot of people that.
Warn her in pretty much everybody else in the in the Obama administration out there but wait a minute out this is not just you guys this is not just the red team that sank as there is -- -- We have a -- grateful -- -- ball.
Well I've seen a poll anyway.
That says that a plurality of Americans.
It's about leading ten or twelve points think somebody ought to get fired over this.
And whether or not it makes it betterment worsen the vindicated since -- -- of Americans that if you screw up you have to get fired right.
What a terrible representation from the executive on this matter -- -- Congress -- is the body that passed the enabling act allows the department of health and services to even function.
So I mean is it.
SharePoint Woody Allen in terms of our are -- for separation of powers and people -- and government yeah it was a terrible statement on her behalf for the Braves this year except of course.
But what's important here at least from my perspective it is.
How this is playing with young people because of course our president -- two point seven million young people as I have this plan in order to.
And here you're talking now about all of the people America for -- -- about people who don't.
Neither is insurance is much just sick people these are people who are opt in -- Or mandate in errors right.
So he's got two point seven million young Americans to buy into this plan an extraordinarily high premiums or fees and so of course.
You're just make it work and what I think that young people are going to be disappointed that the lack of accountability.
Are where -- this year and he found that.
And people aren't necessarily adverse to big of -- -- big world connected on big social networks the entire world.
But they aren't scared of a government that is so intrusive and so fast that it can't be held accountable anymore I think that this is a great example of what -- -- here.
-- -- wise -- Nixon told me a long time and I was incredulous about Eric Holder I was like.
You can't say that you.
Smashed James Rosen is parents' phone records went fishing -- AP.
After a fast and furious and stay in the job that he would be out eventually -- said he's gonna stay.
Now I wouldn't submit -- that in this case not to try not to try to box that nixonian line here.
But that this case is different where the president's interest and Kathleen Sebelius is an interest diverge.
In her case she needs this to -- no one could have gotten this right it's so big and so enormous and so impossible that of course it stinks.
Because it's just too hard to do where is the president is selling very different line which is it's easy click 123 he needs it in order to.
Create the confidence that Alex is talking about -- among consumers.
He needs it to be somebody's fault it can't just be that this is -- impossibly Amos asks.
Well I think time is on her side of the book there's -- for this reason if if the Massachusetts health quality.
Indicator historically most people sign up towards the end of the period that -- eligible of course you know people just don't buy things with him you know Americans are they don't get snow tires or whatever until the day before it's -- it is the -- of -- So I think.
They have time.
Right to do get it together snow tires anymore -- -- just gave away my age didn't I still tires.
Does that tell you wouldn't know those are and what in West Virginia you change.
Here's their tires and ask them -- -- -- just run the spikes off it's you keep it on the road until the spikes where but now Alexander Smith does not know what it's no -- -- So the question Alex is.
They are open to the charge -- that Sebelius the basically there's charge of partisan partisan -- that's going on here Democrats say you don't want to fix this you just want to stop it and you're holding it up.
But there are some Democrats.
Who are expressing some greater concerns about this what can Republicans do to increase the number of Democrats joining them in these calls.
Well I think -- despite some statements have been good to meet on behalf of party leadership Democrats that they think that this could be a winning issue for them -- 2014.
They know it's coming down the road they know that this is that a colossal failure in terms of after the roll out that there might -- a truck possible and support on the -- I think that.
The sooner that more more Democrats start to see the writing on the wall but the -- -- -- -- fourteen elections they're gonna be coming around to you.
Wanting to extend the the -- to delay individual mandate Intel also call for more.
Oversight and accountability on the let's say -- Blue deuce.
And I like this name blue -- who she graciously follows me -- he's there on Twitter says.
A White House official is fired over anonymous -- he said criticizing the administration.
That's what it takes to get fired in the Obama administration.
There was -- time Garland where.
Administrations Democrat and Republican felt obliged to sort of be -- to the moment and somebody had to go there had to be symbolic firing.
Other had to be -- -- heads will roll and it and it was that.
But the partisanship argument which is -- criticism from my political enemy is.
De facto not valid.
This has changed the discussion in Washington.
Did it it has an and I think that if there is a -- for the better yeah.
They -- so there's a total lack of trust and I think for those of us and those of us in the media who tried to be.
A nonpartisan as much as possible it's hard to pick it out it's -- Figure out who's playing games and who's not and it's getting to the point where you have -- pretty much assume that everything's partisanship -- less evidence.
Just last cynicism wins out and make sure in a shocking news and life.
It's cynical view trumps all.
Folks we thank you for making conference day during the rescue today.
You Internet I'd like to introduce you to somebody I think I hope will see.
Please me doctor Remy at us way.
President of the medical staff at Sibley memorial hospital and quite excellent medical center here in Washington DC I doubt that we -- it.
Very well okay good and you are via Skype is the Internet and -- now here's a question for you we caught you.
On Fox News the other day and thought -- you were rather insightful because you gave a quick overview.
How what you expect to see different at your hospital and for doctors and hospitals across the country as obamacare goes into place.
The clock running down here so give us that give us the 30000 foot view.
The 30000 foot view is I think that patients are gonna start rationing their own care and living services they got.
Hospitals will likely go along with -- with little choice.
Patient deductibles are skyrocketing.
Under this the new insurance plan.
And patient simply can't afford 5000 dollar deductible and the high cost of the new insurance.
-- plans that they are.
And in terms we know that the the wave in that this is sort of a very rough way to put it but the -- provides subsidies for insurers.
And it provides assistance for drug companies but for the providers.
Doctors and hospitals in the makers of medical devices.
There's -- there's a bit of a squeeze play ahead right.
There's a huge squeeze play -- what's going -- likely happen is that drug device device companies are going to be packed.
And that will fill any further device innovation because they simply walk a block that profit mark.
For practitioners a lot of practitioners are getting dropped.
From insurance program in new York and Washington.
In and Connecticut and California.
Because the insurers have to limit.
Access patient prepare to make up for the fact they can't compensate.
Or preexisting -- And what is your give us a picture.
This health care in America five years from.
I think that you're gonna see many fewer doctors I think patients -- to be very cautious about even going to the emergency room.
Because of the cost that that wolf.
-- -- I think that cancer care particularly will suffer.
Major cancer centers are hard not to be included in these new insurance program.
And those are aware that innovation and cancer cares really occurred -- patients -- -- -- Well and so -- -- -- sobering.
Prescription from the good doctor doctor we thank you for making time for us today have a good weekend.
You do thank you for having me.
Bob are you bet you guys.
All right Internet thank you for having us we always enjoyed we get a interest thing week this week but we would tell you the best way to cap it off.
Would be with a lot of words from our friend Charles.
I remember tonight 10 PM on the Fox News Channel your friend of -- Bret -- will be taking you through a great look and I've seen some of it a fantastic look.
At the life and times of Charles Krauthammer.
His is a story that you really need to understand to understand not just why he's so good at.
Doing what he does.
But how American politics has changed in the last thirty years I'm back -- -- it's really important and he's a big part of that story so I would urge you 10 o'clock Bret -- the Fox News Channel doctor -- -- -- be the subject that you'll enjoy seeing it but otherwise have a great weekend Internet.
Happy are over fast and we'll see you back here on Monday.
