Frightful polls sends them screaming that's very last group she's a senator from Louisiana she'd like it the stay that way.
New polling out indicates that.
Is growing dissatisfaction with President Obama growing dissatisfaction with his health law.
Have been attendant to the kind of not so great launch to the health law and it's entitlement phase she's got a -- out.
That says or will soon have a go -- that says if you like your health plan.
You can keep it where have you heard that before seconds.
Deadline day for obamacare exemptions.
5 o'clock that's when senate Democrats have until to decide whether or not they will exempt committee staff.
The application of obamacare which in their case -- they don't get an employer subsidy yes yes kill rats I know it's not fair.
House Republicans have bit the bullet on this thing they're not exempting any of their staffs even though it's going to be brutally expensive.
And -- what we're gonna do then what you'll see is at 5 o'clock and it will Democrats do this and lot of pressure on this will be a tough play.
Holy See and hear Pope Francis he's on Twitter -- the NSA did they hear about and -- even before he started tweeting.
They say they.
They do not target the NSA says they do not target the Vatican and an Italian magazine says that they were listening in as cardinals were on there people cell phones talking about who they were going to pick.
When they elected Pope Francis.
Ted Cruz vows no tricks for -- fellow senate GOP -- that's right Ted -- he is the firebrand senator from Texas.
He says and told his Republican colleagues in a closed door luncheon yesterday.
He would not come scalp hunting for them in their primaries that he was gonna -- -- of those races will they be is it is a truce.
Is -- peace accord ahead.
Maybe and last but definitely not least on Halloween all of the eggs and toilet paper in Fargo.
I don't know if you heard about this but mother in Fargo, North Dakota has decided to strike a blow against childhood obesity by giving children she -- to fat.
A letter of approach to give to their parents WB AF provides the text of the Canada and unidentified woman's Halloween.
Nasty -- your child is in my opinion moderate moderately obese and should not be consuming sugar and -- to the extent of some other children.
This Halloween season.
Enjoy -- cleaning up your yard man.
You would know that and so much more if you were signed up for Fox News first -- you ought to go and do that Fox News politics dot com.
But we're gonna do it all right now because it's power -- -- -- -- Technology.
Movie and we assume that it -- this afternoon.
Was vice president Joseph Biden he was speaking to headline news pointing out perhaps the obvious that neither he nor the president our technology geeks.
And that that they assumed that obamacare website would be ready to go.
And this is -- power play -- Internet happy Halloween I'm of course dressed as myself.
But how about this the concerns about the launch.
And new revelations that the administration knew that millions would lose their coverage despite president repeatedly saying otherwise.
Are creating some ripples in state level races especially now down in Louisiana.
So it is good it is hopeful that.
That you can say hello.
To congressman John Fleming aside from being -- he is a doctor and he represents Louisiana hi congressman.
Are you out there can you hear me.
Well we're gonna try to get calm is restored where congressman Clement.
But in the meantime I can offer you know slim solace I cannot.
-- the great solace of the fact that chuck -- job.
Who -- now it's OK check if you wanna check your thoughts -- he's probably updating its fantasy football.
College -- -- -- -- for tonight gotta get there before tonight.
But -- -- -- he is a democratic strategist he is let me get -- -- that your introduction changes enough I need to be sure.
He is the president of solidarity strategies he is the director of the Latino project pack and he is -- Fellow for the center for national policy that that sound good sounds like he was proud that's exactly exactly.
Not bad for a gun rack Democrat -- O'Connell is a former McCain Palin presidential campaign advisor and chairman of the civic forum back.
And he has a new book right yeah -- say it.
Go ahead don't marry the tenth place vote Republican -- -- where you it is not Republican political book -- take a lot of shots that both sides of the republics or if you you yes yes it's good it's broke politics OK so here's the question I wanna start with this ball.
Latest Fox News -- Says 41% job approval for the president.
That's down from 51% last year -- today -- Wall Street Journal poll that's out that shows the lowest ever job approval rating for President Obama.
That's not good.
And wow the we've heard some.
Silly talk about well it's the shut down and blah blah blah I have to think I have to thing.
That it's not coincidental.
That his lowest job approval rating comes amid this crash and the news which I think may be more damaging.
When I heard the president now talking today about people losing their health insurance right chart yet.
I mean oppose it definitely where there -- because of all the things have been going on in this town I think the bottom line is people are sick and tired of being sick and tired.
And I think when you look at -- -- these people that came out this morning and you also see and I found that to be maybe the most refreshing is that for the first time in the history.
People -- -- about themselves as independent over Democrat or Republican a bit because people are tired of what they're seeing in Washington DC whether they're blaming the Republicans for the -- Blame the president for obamacare they just don't see anything happening that they think -- the it.
-- -- stealing my lines and that's that's okay because he -- -- welcome -- but yes -- spike among independents is a direct.
Paging Ross Perot.
The frustration with both parties is driving things where I'm want to hear from you but I have reason to believe.
That congressman Fleming is out there are you there congressman.
Yes I am hundred days are right we -- half and we apparently have the same contractors.
It's health -- dot gov.
But I didn't congressman I want to ask you.
Mary -- she is a Democrat she's a senator from your state and she wants to make sure people can keep their health insurance that's.
Legislation that Republicans -- back and had rushed forward.
And she now says that she's going to join that.
Push with the bill of around what you said.
Well you know search for land drew was the sixtieth vote for Obama here.
She cut the deal now if -- mostly known as the Louisiana purchase.
She was saying as recently as two days ago.
You know these are not good policies anyway at least the way Washington defines insurance policies.
So you should be happy.
To -- the new policies that are gonna cost you twice as much but I think.
None of that resonated with.
The constituents back in Louisiana.
Was now you she shifting to decide -- well after all let's live up to the promises been maybe two Americans for the last four years I don't think it's gonna work -- Now what folks down in Louisiana have been reading about you and from you.
A recent op Ed.
In USA today.
Defending the -- talking about how the government shut down.
Really plays -- and you said this fight goodbye and last night.
Right now looking from just the cynical political perspective it looks like Republicans are better off that the fight did and the shut them did end.
And that the focus is back on Obama care.
Well what hasn't been reported Chris about that whole situation is what was the fight -- -- why were we holding up the CR.
-- the reason was we saw this disaster coming we Republicans and we said.
President please delay the implementation four year and he refused to do so and we ended up with -- seventeen days of a shot -- one out -- the shutdown is over.
Obamacare is rolled out and now the American people are experiencing.
What we were warning him about we were trying to protect Americans.
From what is that was really what they're experiencing at this very moment.
What is your prescription doctor in terms of what policy pieces and I'm not -- I know that you favor them.
-- and replacement and we've heard from the doctors caucus you guys have an alternate plan that you would like to see put in place.
But in the near term.
What do you think the right policy vehicle for house Republicans this is it to push.
For delay of the individual mandate -- -- of the whole bill.
If you like it you can keep fit what kind of what kind of policy provision do you think your party ought to be.
-- well unfortunately Chris and this was the thing that we dreaded so much.
The failure of the web site is only the first step -- the problems that you know they've already millions of people are getting cancellations.
Next you're going to find out that most people signing up.
For these exchanges are probably going to be signing up from Medicaid which is going to be very destructive.
To the economics of this mean you're gonna find out older sicker people are going to be rushing to sign up -- younger healthy people or not.
The only thing Republicans do now is to highlight all of the things that we predicted.
Would happen are beginning to happen.
And highlight why we need to scrap this whole thing and start over and would be reform health care and a bipartisan basis.
Well I big I dig it but the question as in the next month.
That's not going to happen.
What would you say the right first policy vehicle for Republicans is to get behind -- or all of those things.
The if you like it you can keep it -- well maybe specifically do you -- delaying the individual mandate for a year.
I do favor that again that's what the battle was about leading up to to be shut down.
And again that Democrats they are coming out favoring delays when before they wanted to go all -- to -- shut down so now they're taking point on these things.
And we're happy to work for Democrats to delay the implementation delay the individual mandate.
To hold to the promised that the president made -- if you like your health plan you can keep it.
We would we would be happy to work for Democrats on those things but they're between a rock and a hard place because they know.
That -- -- this Titanic has already left the -- and it's headed for an iceberg and they don't know what to do they don't know whether to turn back or go ahead and hit the iceberg.
The cut -- -- what you can but but other than that it's going fine right you other than that it other than that the rollout to bend okay.
So in the last question before we let you go.
When we talk about the Louisiana senate race.
You know the -- the Landry family knows how to win races down in Louisiana and they know how to move right other Democrats may not be so nimble.
But Mary Landrieu is and she's found her way through difficult waters before.
Yes she -- now she hasn't been -- against in my opinion a candidate at the level that bill Cassidy is he's -- sitting member of the house.
With a good reputation.
And so I think there's going to be her toughest battle also she's always played the moderate game.
But look she's gone along with the president in his very left leaning policies.
And these are things that she can't deny any longer the citizens of Louisiana -- on to that game.
All right well if you were from treat.
Or -- know I am already.
There he says congressman John Fleming we thank you for making time for us -- -- -- -- -- write papers.
OK now let's just keep rolling along here showing -- I think which because we already have the panel and Ford was ready to deliver raw excellent you can just see chuck that he was ready to ring foaming at the mouth bring the heat so -- what we've -- I was gonna say did well here's -- -- -- obamacare the president -- period plus he's not read the law and civilians doesn't know the law.
Basically fourteen to seventeen million people are going to be pissed off and who buy insurance in the individual market it's -- it's and it's the and to be perfectly honest with you I don't care about fairness -- interested -- winning.
This is finally an issue that Republicans can win on how to -- -- -- -- -- Because Mary Landrieu was scared of it.
And that's exactly what we need to be doing we'd be getting on the same page figure out how to get there and frankly I hope.
Essentially the congressional Democrats continue to exempt themselves from us because again this is about.
Optics and showing that the Republican -- -- -- -- 114 -- you know it's delicious.
-- -- Sunday I was gonna go with I was gonna go with fun size Snickers bars but also delicious is I want.
Three weeks ago I remember three weeks ago I listened to conservative Republican -- room.
Now look to shut down thing is not popular.
But if Republicans will just act against what they think are their best interest and their ideas right now and hold together through this thing they will emerge from the fire in better shape they will -- policy victories and they will do all of this stuff.
And I thought well that's crazy people are gonna do the opposite of what they want to do.
With the promise it in -- in the face of dropping poll numbers for the promise of future victory.
It does not happen people are self interest and they're not going to especially when -- harassment act against their own beliefs.
Heard the president say last yesterday afternoon in Boston we got to grind it out.
I don't know.
We got to grind it out saying to Joseph mansion and Mary Landrieu and all these people.
He would he pulled the Ted Cruz and it was like I know we don't like what that we got a lot of problems we don't like his only got to grind it out.
And I'm think again we you don't have to run again they do.
They get a -- -- that they're gonna get away from this thing right right I mean what you're gonna see users -- to governor's elections you know.
Much like four out when elections for a living and out of policy won't come looking at these things in political terms I would have danger hired somebody who knew had a roll out of website.
There's lots of people -- Country who developed web -- right who have lots of folks come and visit them and they -- correctly.
Right what you wanna avoid the Blanche Lincoln problem is basically what trucks and -- -- but here is the -- -- problem and and this is what my next question this sport.
President's argument isn't crazy.
And neither was cruises in its own -- which is if you can just keep your powder dry and not start -- because the danger and what Blanche Lincoln started doing.
-- she started -- labor unions came after her in the primary and she started veering left and then -- -- she got into the general and she started veering right and she was swerving all over the road and by the end she lost to a candidate John Boozman who didn't really have to do much he just had to sort of stand there and say.
-- so isn't there something to be said for keeping your throttle steady in the middle of the fire.
Absolutely but you what you fight against us imminent cancellation -- dollars that's that's -- thing in any you know everyone talks about what G the president won the last election by seven million voters when you're talking about fourteen to 7000017.
Million people are going to be affected by this.
It is going to be effective particularly in the world -- We're essentially these -- folks are gonna finally kicked off their coverage and their access to doctors and hospitals has been -- the end of the day Landry is right save your -- press.
Double profanity just because this horrible week for you can't just go all crazy with -- All right last question on that thing about so this is how this works let me explain -- the way it works is.
In congress everybody so that old they put a provision in obamacare that said everybody congress has to take -- -- There is a carve out for.
Committee staffs that don't really fallen under the expressed -- of this in the house Republicans have voluntarily and this is I want -- -- and expensive like no joke expensive for hill staffers many of whom are not making that much money especially in DC I -- go ahead -- -- -- Internet but.
This is actually submit it and it was an unintended consequence of Chuck Grassley saw that the Republicans have said.
We got to eat it.
Here we go sorry guys senate Democrats today have to 5 o'clock today to decide what they're going to do what are they gonna do it.
I have no idea I mean I've got a story to tell what I've -- ordered a goat and living here in the city knowing how underpaid both these steps are I think it's a horrible thing when you're exiting that absolutely these did you make Tony about 30000 dollars a year.
From a political standpoint I don't wanna be that congressman the Republicans run and a half ago when we had a chance to examine this and I know with the -- -- -- -- -- the -- myself this is what I do.
It's bad political optics I think is the word yet Dino -- -- you don't look at the American people to continue to have period in the senate majority leader that is what expensive and I guess what it's time to get together -- everything in and get him out common sense for.
For Ford -- Ford knows how to make it happen gentlemen you guys always around it and I think Johnny -- -- my we just went down.
OK for -- or not that is not.
That is not a but guys you are okay have you have a happy Halloween.
Enjoy ourselves out there you I want you to continue to enjoy yourself so you know what you -- to do you ought to stick around because when we come back.
Your friend and mine magic Juan Williams will be here to talk about the ever changing saga of the soap opera that is.
-- -- Washington Redskins team name controversy new developments.
And new insights from -- so stick around.
The using it may be part of the Washington team's history but should -- he made a part of its past history.
And that was -- how critter he is.
Of the United Nations is representative from the united nation a holding a press conference after error in meeting that he had.
-- Of the leadership of the Washington Redskins discussing a what might be done what might be done about that team's name that he -- you only as the we will say it here they are the Washington Redskins.
And this is powered by welcome back Matt.
-- Williams does a lot of things Juan Williams is a columnist that this bill.
He writes and as good incisive journalism.
For Fox News Latino.
He is of course a political analyst for the Fox News Channel you are you are a man of many parts -- loan terms.
But you are also as fortunate.
-- big think that's directory right that is is -- exactly I met a man must have pursuits.
But so one you wrote a good piece a couple weeks ago.
About what the name change ought to be here it says it was very it was very good it was very Smart -- so you think the -- ought to be change.
Yeah it's just feels antiquated at this point.
You know the thing is somebody that people and I think with that the Washington Redskins.
Also think it's April we all kind of had the supplement which is.
We don't mean anything bad -- -- you know I mean actually we we think there's been the tradition you know I live in Washington now.
Thirty plus years.
That's almost -- and and you know it was never meant in that sense -- the team has a very heavy history in terms its original owners.
And what they were doing when they brought the team here rated it is rated history and I think they were the last team in the NFL have a black and what should they called it.
Well you know this is the point in my column and that's why bring it up -- Because I'm I liked that Washington.
Wizards who used to be the Washington bullets that this is pro basketball.
And of course everybody thinks why they give up on the bullet this bullet -- and has a tradition a connection to Baltimore used to be -- factor in this country right.
And so they changed it after Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated him but that's Grasso we have so much blood on the streets here in -- -- by executing -- that step and they changed it to wizards which is totally.
Amorphous and no connection to the end to the area or the people who live here -- and the same thing I feel about the changing name of the restaurant that -- -- -- change -- think it's something here yes you know and -- -- or yes.
-- -- you know life is short of calling.
And politicians -- but I would prefer something that's not our national profile federalists well how about local look like what well I thought you know in the Redskins vision and we had tribes here right Potomac.
Right now are the tribe right.
Or even if you -- to extend it I guess you could say something along the lines.
You know I don't think people.
Here are big into crabs.
You know how hard -- you know one of my favorites that's very immediately was -- for the changing name of those bullets down river dogs because of the river is a program here we have lots of rivers and Chesapeake Bay and you know.
Why -- I have I have I have to figures but I have a feeling I have a feeling that you -- better political.
Analysts I think our team.
But -- yeah you're right what are you have.
I've been infect people have written to me.
It's the power play solution we have power -- solution.
But no team and is as good as the Steelers so everybody else can just scratch around and try to find.
They're right NFL and -- representative of the community.
It's off some and -- -- that we're right exactly just as you know sometimes people like to have America be stronger.
And I want to show the Internet this -- and harper.
Here is her handiwork of carving.
Much maligned symbol into it pumpkin.
Martha Stewart if she was a football fan would be proud to thank you and harper for sharing that.
With us lot of skins fans out there one what are you going -- following.
You know -- I work with my grandchildren and secure as we can and they were -- cat and mouse and then the boy who's three they've totaled one -- right three hero was Iron Man.
And I just learned you know that this is your power and that's what it means Brett you know I didn't you know I didn't want to get to -- -- would would you gotta go you gotta go something.
You have to get -- for coming I don't know I tell you get people.
A little problem I guys as I said -- dressed today as myself from 1985.
But but I think I think there's a good chance we will get to see the hunter reemerge again which is just when -- O'Donnell will not hunting clothes when I don't then -- -- Now like me and my -- close.
But make it may have put -- a fake mustache.
How about the count from from Sesame Street you know electric tankers right exactly exactly that's an uptight about one -- Happy Halloween we thank you very exciting time for -- have a great daddy you Internet YouTube here's what.
You say having making 53 says.
Is obamacare the Halloween equivalent of me of the mean old neighbor that doesn't give out candy and keep your toys.
If they fall in her yard no I think it's the equivalent of that woman with a letter about obesity in the -- cats I think but anyway.
All of that and more tomorrow when we come back with you what was in the goodie bag.
And Friday so have a great Halloween and we'll see you soon and now as we like to do every day a word from our friend -- I would say that what's really at stake here.
Is that if this thing really goes sounds.
If obamacare truly self destructs I don't know that it's certain that I would say right now it is more than likely.
I think it really will set back American liberalism.
For a decade at least and that's why I think liberals are running scared could not just one election it's the whole ideology.
That the government knows best.
