Tonight did see who has a new bus.
The RNC and this -- -- has -- name.
The fire Nancy Pelosi bus and tonight that -- is an Albuquerque, New Mexico RNC chair Michael Steele is riding the bus nationwide so.
Wasn't the bus chairman -- to.
How did you -- are so what is -- this bus.
So the bus is the way to communicate a very important message that is time to take this country -- different direction.
We want people to get on the bus and be a part of this transformative moment you've seen this grassroots energy out here for over the past year and a half Greta.
And it's important as I say when I became national chairman for our party to be on the streets of America in neighborhoods and communities.
And solace saw the last six weeks of this campaign we wanted to get on the road go directly to the people a chance to lift up our candidates we here in Albuquerque where you have a great.
Rallied today had a chance to talk about the the leadership of -- Susanne Martinez and and the host of our candidates are running here it's -- -- -- great opportunity for us so we're excited about it.
Well imagine there's some Republicans cheering you -- -- -- -- -- the bank tomatoes along the way.
Now I'll know it's you know we had we had some protesters that came out today.
It two protest.
The bus I welcome that I'd love video that's part of the excitement of democracy where people get to express their points of view.
But the crowd was small and then those that those who are looking for freedom in a different direction -- supporting.
Candidates like -- rally here and in Arizona.
They turned out in big numbers so our victory centers around the state.
Our our operating a full throttle and that energy is real it is exciting.
And I think this is a good time for the country to have a a national discussion about not just the policies Greta but the direction.
Of this country -- -- those fundamental principles that still matter out there that people wanna talk about the constitution and and things like that that are still important to -- It's -- well Washington is cleared out as a ghost town here and -- about that -- -- the -- -- that we we've dealt with that.
But then I would -- that rob Emmanuel is is also -- What do you make.
The cheap sport now the former chief of staff going back to Chicago -- running for mayor.
Well you know look -- he's gonna have to go back before the voters of -- -- -- is no stranger to that he'll go out there he's gonna probably have a very competitive primary.
For that job it's not -- it's not an automatic -- even though the the the send off that he got today from the president seemed like a -- -- -- endorsement.
It but it you know again.
The White House whether it's Rahm Emanuel leaving or you know the congratulatory tone up.
Of the administration for work that they think that the American people support.
Again this reemphasizes.
-- out of touch they are.
There's no discussion about jobs coming out of this White House certainly out of the leadership they had a chance the chance Greta.
To say definitively that the bush tax cuts would be kept in place at least for a two year period of time.
And they couldn't even get that done you know -- -- these folks ran out of Washington without passing the budget foreign nation I mean how incompetent is that how -- How do you go to the American people go back home -- districts and say reelect me so that we can think more about what we should be doing.
The country is ready for people to lead through action and that's what I appreciate about what the Republican leadership.
Did last week -- Kevin McCarthy my good buddy put out this up pledge to America that very clearly says legislatively this is how we intend to lead.
And I think that inspires the folks out there to pay closer attention to what our candidates are talking about -- what they're going to do when they elected this November.
But it certainly interesting because the message.
They're talking about that the Republican leaders came out whether something -- last week -- basically.
Cutting spending small government they only -- the Tea Party says well.
A couple years ago you had your shot at it and you didn't do that so why some Republicans question the voters now believe -- would become eyewitness.
Well because I think a couple things as -- while we've learned from that blunder it you know when you step away from a principal and that's the foundational principle for us.
Greta when it comes to tax policy and fiscal policy.
To keep government small and less intrusive to make sure that the tax base is not overly burdensome for a chance to visit family.
I I I don't I'm not to principle but the problem is he got have -- do that and we've got to like you -- -- right now.
That's like calling up the American voters -- little rob because they're not condemned the lot of voters are not convinced that the Democrats and ended that and it -- we're not convinced that the Republicans will either.
-- had I understand that completely and that is part of why we've been out here on the road talking to the voters and in showcasing our candidates.
A consistent with those principles committed to that idea.
Of those very things that the voters out there want so I think to the point that you're asking.
Now we are looking at the leadership that's emerging whether it's you know Joseph Miller or Christine O'Donnell or -- -- -- or.
Or Martinez Susana Martinez -- in Arizona.
This leadership understands what the voters or so have been saying for the past eighteen months quick and they are prepared to commit.
But -- -- -- and the make themselves accountable for that Greta.
But doesn't curious because you mentioned Joseph Miller you've got up and Alaska you've got a Republican United States senator senator Lisa Murkowski -- still a senator whom she didn't win the Republican primaries have been rather sort of -- game behind Republican Party.
Maybe it will say she's gone rogue so it doesn't look like you know exactly parties on a total message issued on -- -- you.
Now I you know look I understand what the agony of defeat is all about like you know after all I was in I -- up -- Roman Catholic black conservative from Washington DC you -- know -- a -- does not in the easiest thing in the world.
It outside get that I understand that but there comes a point.
Where where the campaign for office ends after a primary we we need to come together as a party.
And support the nominees of our party who -- gonna carry that standard forest through.
The fall now I I appreciate.
Senator Murkowski is effort but of the fact of it is the Republican Party has its nominee.
That still Miller and we are so behind it will go to work part very hard to make sure that he comes to Washington.
To fill that seat to make sure that Harry Reid.
Does not have the tools in fact we hope that that -- is that the difference between.
Being in the -- -- minority the majority but be that as it made the fact is that voice is important to -- there.
And I think that the commitment that our candidates have made to the voters by looking them directly in the -- and saying.
We understand we've learned from the mistakes of the past and we're committing ourselves to working.
Towards solutions that you want I think is a positive step in the last I went through my head on the tea parties by the seventy parties.
That's a strategy that's working together we have a common interest here so all this noise about the you know opera opposition between.
Tea Party in the GOP is just crazy is that it's not that's not the reality out there in America.
I have thirty seconds left I you gonna throw it and the RN CA throwing yourself behind Christine O'Donnell.
How much money IE giving -- to help whether campaign.
We have we have absolutely committed to her -- so we have to victory offices -- -- two of the 352.
Victory offices we have fully staffed around the country.
We're competitive right now and a hundred congressional districts the RNC -- around the nation.
But -- out what I'm saying she is part of that commitment that we're making to win we put the resources on the ground we've got a fully staffed.
We -- working with her to do some fund -- with her over the next couple weeks.
Through the -- -- auspices and and others so we have fully committed to Christie's success is we are committed to every Republican nominee winning this year because that's the difference between whether we.
Who continue to grow wealth and prosperity or we we -- distributed.
As the Obama administration and the others want to do.
Cameras there -- nice to see you thank you.
You got it.
