A series of recent polls show Kentucky Saturday senate candidate doctor Rand poll ahead by double digits and that State's Republican primary.
Doctor Paul's popularity as a credit to his anti establishment.
Pro Tea Party message that's clearly resonating.
With the folks in Kentucky.
Interestingly enough some establishment Republicans no surprise both nationally and in Kentucky are not pleased with doctor Paul's strong showing.
There man the Kentucky's secretary of state Trey Grayson trails doctor Paul by a significant margin.
And his -- is -- resorting to some very questionable TV ads.
Hoping to stock.
Doctor Paul's rise joining me now is Kentucky center a candidate doctor Rand Paul -- welcome back to freedom watch.
Good to be review judge well when you started out you were behind now I guess about a month and a half before the primary.
You've overcome these guys how you're doing it what are you telling.
People in Kentucky or Republicans at Kentucky that's obviously resonating with them.
But tell people I think there's a Tea Party tidal wave coming out I -- can sweep a lot of incumbents out of office fact today were in little -- And we had to take back the house rally.
We're doing so well and our senate race that we're trying to spread the love to some other candidates so we're actually campaigning against John you are meant to voted for the house bill or the senate -- last night for the health care takeover.
We had five Republican candidates out there and we brought them all together to give them a little publicity.
In running against John you are meant -- I think that's why when you win some of these national Republicans say they may not want me.
A lot of people do want me to win because they see that I'm helping the party to grow capsules.
I got -- Admit -- that I was crushed by the vote last night and I was holding out hope particularly amongst the pro life Democrats in the house or those who called themselves pro life that.
Pelosi and company would not have enough votes to pass but it did pass if -- -- physician.
Take off your Republican senatorial hat and just put on your physician.
-- What's your reaction as a physician -- a healer to what the house did last night and what the president will probably sign into law Sunday this week.
I think the ultimate danger for patience is that the system become so rotten.
That doctors won't want to take care of government insured patients.
They're already -- our family doctors who don't want more Medicare patients because it pays a lot less than blue cross -- and thumb are.
United are some of these other groups -- already there -- family doctors shy -- in the limit how many Medicare patients they take.
If we all become on the government system are the most most of the patients will.
I think he'll be harder and harder to see a doctor or longer waiting periods but ultimately.
How does something cost a trillion dollars and not add anything to the death -- I don't think anybody believes that.
Now I don't think anybody believes it believes that either I mean.
How would your medical practice and I don't think you'll be practicing medicine was I think you're gonna be in the senate from Kentucky but.
How would your medical practice even react if you had to get the permission.
Of some anonymous committee or some faceless bureaucrat as to what procedures you could perform for a particular patient let's say I were your patient.
And I had -- a problem with one of my eyes and you tell me here's the three procedures available to you will talk about all three.
But the feds will only let us do one of those and by the way judge as you know what was your read the law.
This is not appealable we're stuck with what the feds told us that's not practicing medicine that's making you an agent of the state as well.
The people who brag about the current system and brag about Medicare have never dealt with Medicare.
For example if your eyes -- are drooping in covering your vision and we want to fix it or you wanna have it fixed.
They won't pre approve it so the government won't tell you whether they'll approve it or not.
After the fact of we -- asked them are they gonna pay or not paid a doctor for the surgery.
We weighed in our routinely -- to get a phone call -- and as we get three different answer rates.
Consumer groups have tested the accuracy of the Medicare people responding.
The wrong 85% of the time while it -- this is the current system.
But also people need to understand that under current Medicare.
We're short of money.
There's a 10% reduction doctor fees.
That is automatic every year because there's not enough money how is it going to be when we -- thirty million new people -- the government system.
There's no way it's not going to be even more sort of money we're chatting with doctor Rand Paul.
-- candidate for the Republican nomination for the United States senate in Kentucky.
And who is leading his nearest opponent in that race.
By double digits well what else is resonating with Republican voters in Kentucky do do they see.
The federal government -- a runaway freight train with the word socialism written across the front of it.
You have people asked me to list the top three issues that are motivating voters in the top three issues in my campaign.
The deficit the deficit the deficit -- it's it's the whole thing driving it in what I do you tell people about the Tea Party is.
The Tea Party movement is concerned about big government we don't want increase taxes but what most concerns us is that federal spending is out of control.
We're spending money at 53000.
Dollars a second.
And people are just.
A doctor Paul one of the most successful money bombs and history of fact I think the most successful money bomb in history was the contributions that your dad got on November 5.
I guess a couple of years ago are you doing one of these money bombs at some point this -- and if so tell us about it.
We are tomorrow will be doing online fund raising my -- originated the term money bomb.
And -- were calling -- give me liberty or give me death it's on the anniversary of Patrick Henry's favorite.
Famous speech tomorrow and we'll be trying to raise money on line by -- lot of times people giving contributions under a hundred dollars.
Dad or more we're not turning down more -- people contribute online and we post.
The contributions in real time so people can see the money growing.
And -- we're trying to compete with an opponent who last week -- couple weeks ago.
Raise money and you won't believe this from AIG.
-- AIG we have given a 180 billion dollars to them.
But they still have a lobbyist who is raising money and giving money to candidates so my opponent raised over 200001.
At a fundraisers sponsored by any high -- lobbyist is that not.
-- with you could actually traced dollar bills through the system that wouldn't surprise me some of that stuff.
