It progressed as alcoholism does by the end I was drinking.

And you know good good hit rock bottom what was the warning that you've gone under control.
A couple of things one is that a lot of parts of my life for getting worse and every day I said you know.
Alcohol is contributing factors have got to stop drinking and the next day I made this solemn promise myself the next -- So I couldn't I literally could not stop.
And toward the end as I as I talk about in my book that -- My wife left me I was about to lose my job I had no money in the bank I looked terrible.
So that's about it rock bottom as I wanted to get and along -- hole the Rose Bowl came and -- your wife had that happen.
Well my it was not -- let's say did it get area others is a very Latin and -- was that just a terror really rambunctious little guy.
And a lot of personality -- guy -- girl well she's female that I cuffed her and guy.
And get a lot of personality.
And my wife left me but left the dog with me.
-- -- take a look at what her behavior was like so we get the straight on the one hand there was an alcoholic on the other hand would there was a wild and controlled the book yet how crucial was this goes.
The -- was pretty bad there are people in my building who when they saw us comment would go the other way particularly if they had kids with them.

So she was she was quite a Madison and she was is out of control with analysts -- now I'm anticipating the major theme of this book because you're gonna tell me that as she reform.

I I'd hit rock bottom and I wanted to get my life back and I -- the way to do that.
Is to change all -- from a bad dog to a bit and to change myself -- a bad dog to a good husband did you get so how did you get sober.
-- I hit rock bottom and I found a -- that program that I liked and I went every day.
I had nowhere else to go literally and in training my dog -- They were ten steps to her canine good citizen I had my twelve steps and we did them side by side together cute it was a -- hello -- sober now.
And no no steps backward.
Well I am it's everyday is is -- struggle to stay sober but each day is is a gift.
In sobriety I think and I'm just grateful for the dog the dog is.
Training the dog helped me focus on something else -- myself.
I have become very very self obsessed so I think that was the secret of therapeutic effect you recommend that old people that are struggling with -- -- consider ago to help them fight it.
What I have well known therapeutic benefits as -- now and I think that specifically training about taking responsibility for the dog training camp taking it through a program likening -- citizen and I did.
Can be very very helpful but nobody who it cannot devote time and attention to Washington.
