This is power play live I'm Chris start -- Thanks very much for being with us and it right off the top today we want to break down what's going on with our friend Juan Williams.

Who is here with us for the main run -- the inaugural voyage across disease of the Internet welcome to the Internet want how we -- God bless power play recruits start off this is true superstar it's all happening you know -- don't -- and -- -- -- twelve in the presidential season -- gonna become.

Appointment TV everybody's -- chicken and you can keep talking as long as you want.

-- I'd like that you're -- you're a 100% finally you.

I don't know how much.

Senator Santorum you've got to hear.

As he was talking but.

He made a very jarring and very stark comparison which was sort of an oblique -- -- from President Obama to Benito Mussolini.

It was basically he juxtapose.

And his grandfather's experience as an Italian immigrant leaving stability and security of a government job in Italy.

It would have been dormant mountains he pointed out to come to Somerset Pennsylvania because.

As he says freedom.

-- is what's important not secure -- is not safe your comfort.

So it was shorter I mean that's -- today.

He's like he's not saying Obama -- Mussolini but he's he's he's getting him in the neighborhood right yeah.

You know it's unpleasant -- -- is look there's an appetite on the right right now especially I think among some who are.

Tea Party folks to have somebody stand up and really take on Barack Obama really take it to -- Appetite is one now that Rick -- seeks to fail.

Now he's got some competition in this because members their -- -- I think she takes it to President Obama Michelle Bachmann that if she takes it -- To President Obama what it.

So I think that's about it now when I -- when I look at the rest that you when I look at people like Romney calamity.

I think you know what these are people who have economic differences in terms of policy differences with the president.

But they don't have that kind of passion and fury and even anger Chris.

That you hear -- now coming from Rick -- I don't know how far it's gonna get him if you look at the polls right now he's Dillon's single digits in some polls he doesn't register.

W is registered but we should point out that being the leader of the pack usually is coming in these -- Mitt Romney at fifteen or 70%.

So it's not life you know this is a small plurality front -- situation obviously Santorum is a watch -- there's no.

There's no question about it but.

I wrote in -- power play this morning.

Which you can get I'm let me -- myself here -- once -- -- -- at the beginning you can get that every morning.

Foxnews.com.

Back slash politics in your -- up every morning.

And I would encourage everyone out there to join the chat here which were watching -- to hit you directly act seeks -- firewall on Twitter.

But I wrote this morning you know you have Romney you have these other economically conservative candidates need to fiscal conservative set.

Ronnie and Huntsman have both basically said they're not on they're not gonna participate or not gonna go to the Ames straw poll a make or break and -- they're just not going out there.

And as you look at some electorate retained more and you look at what's going up Michelle -- who you mentioned.

I wonder if there isn't in danger of leaving the door open that somebody because certainly in 2008 neither Hillary Clinton.

Nor Rudy Giuliani expected that.

Barack Obama.

For Mike Huckabee would arise out of the corn field that's true and -- -- through the country Obama tremendous success Huckabee to.

What's a winning no no one expected here to beat the runner up and in the Republican field.

Do you think there's a potential danger for these guys you just.

Close their eyes Iowa and let somebody like San -- cannot.

-- I think there's no doubt about the question is what is the power -- out of power of Iowa is amplified by the -- South Carolina yeah and what we're talking about here are really social conservatives and to some extent evangelicals.

We're talking about people who focus on social issues in terms of being determinative about their vote their preference on the Republican side and I think in the general election as well but their power is really in the Republican nominating process.

That this diminishes a great -- he gets worse the general election but they can in fact make a decisive vote.

And so what we're talking about is people like Mitch Daniels the governor of Indiana extra troops yes -- have a truce let's let's back off these social issues we don't need it and I might add.

And here's what I think oftentimes doesn't get sick Crist the Republican establishment the people who were still holding on the dollars as they look for a candidate to back somebody's got to win this nomination.

Rich rich people yes well.

Okay and local investment politicians -- don't have to be -- everybody who.

He gives the politicians I think it's still for the most part holding back on the Republican side were they holding back.

They don't feel comfortable at this point without anybody saying you know this is going to be the nominee including.

Mitt Romney the front runner and why don't they feel comfortable because as you -- -- -- -- people not going to Iowa.

There's the question of rights as well who's gonna do well in New Hampshire looks like round he's pretty.

Well positioned there isn't and he can't women can't win wreck and -- -- -- going to -- Carolina can he take on a social conservative and how does that play out across the rest that the we're gonna.
